Service: depends on the bartender. Sometimes he is very nice, personable, approachable. Other staff members are not quite as relaxed. Other: They are happy to give the WiFi password if you simply ask. Price: great price. $4 for a 14oz beer. They also have specials on certain nights. Atmosphere: friendly and sometimes low-key, other nights is a party! Ask around. All in all, a good bar.

I have been to this Lab 'n Lager location a few times during my many visits to Keene, and I must say I've been impressed each time. In addition, each visit has seemingly been a different experience. I've been there to shoot some pool on a Thursday college night; to sit around on their lounge couches to get a burger and a beer; a more sit-down experience with a larger group to get dinner and (MANY) drinks; and a beautiful fall day sitting in their outdoor patio during Pumpkin Fest while sipping a nice fall beer. Food-wise, I've had their Cajun Black 'n Bleu burger which was perfectly spiced with just the right amount of tangy bleu cheese, and tater tots which I am a huge fan of (anywhere!) when done correctly. At the bar, they had a pretty decent selection of beers on tap, and they all seemed to be nicely priced. Overall, a nice place to grab a drink when in Keene!

Always packed with college kids of course so don't go if you don't want to deal with them. And prepare to wait outside for hours

Beer and service great. Steak tidbits were tasteless and overcooked. Thank goodness for the sweet potato fries which were excellent

Trash! Wouldn't let us in because it was too crowded, when there were multiple empty tables.

The best wings in Keene! Stop in on a Monday for .50 cent wings and the beer never offer any fears.

There have been many times where I've tried restaurants that had a lot of stars, but the local people are just inflating the reviews. - this is not one of those places. The food here is absolutely phenomenal. The speakeasy vibe even adds to the ambience. The drinks are strong yet not too strong. This restaurant is so good that I am now planning a trip with my wife and my friends to come back up to this area to ski just so I can bring them here and have their mind blown with how great the food is here. if there was an option to give six stars, I would!

Third time I stopped in I had dinner. The bartenders and wait staff dress in 20's attire and the place has that prohibition feel to it. They make high-end cocktails but I usually stick with a gin and tonic. The menu is limited but the meal portion was generous. I had the chicken fried chicken. It was a huge piece of breaded chicken over mashed potatoes and asparagus topped with a traditional white gravy. Very tasty. We've added this establishment to our rotation when we visit Keene.

Bartender didn't impress. Not sure he was experienced. Give away was putting olives on martini containing grapefruit juice, not mention an even number of olives (bad luck). The menus were fancy and I ordered a shaved roast beef sandwich with au jus. Shaved roast beef was on par with Steak-umms. French fries were your typical bagged fries. All in all it was ok at best. Was hoping for a little more given the quality of the other restaurants in the area.

My partner had the short rib ravioli which was also excellent. We are whiskey/bourbon drinkers and the one thing that whiskey/burboun drinkers like in their old fashioned type drinks are single, large ice rocks and not the little broken ice chips that easily dilutes your drink. These are so easy to make yourself. Just buy an ice tray that makes them. The other thing whiskey/bourbon drinkers like in their drinks are the bourbon cherries and not just the plain maraschino cherries. Just two easy recommendations to elavate the experience. The staff was also very friendly.

Upon arrival (be warned, gps will take you weird way through back lots, bit you will get there) was impressed by the beautiful historical structure it is housed in. Theres a lovely outdoor eating area, and plenty of indoor dining in various types of rooms, and a bar area. We opted for indoor dining, was seated in the main dining area. Its a beautiful space with restored wood work and craft beer decor. They brew their own beer. I had the Bird NEIPA, probably the smoothest IPA i have ever tasted. Loved it. Apps: OUTSTANDING! the spinach artichoke dip I guarantee is better than any you have ever had, anywhere. The bagel chips with everything seasoning compliments the dip perfectly. We also had the sweet potato corn jalapeño soup. Creamy, flavorful with the perfect spicy finish. Dinner: Took forever to get to us. Almost an hour from when we ordered. At 45 minutes our server said he dropped one of our meals, so he asked kitchen to make 2 new ones..so one wasn't just sitting under heat lamp. Very much appreciated, but even still..it should not have taken that long. My meal was ok. Peach BBQ pulled chicken sandwich, there wasn't much chicken. The bun was barely toasted, and not a broiche as advertised. Just a regular burger bun. So i couldnt hold the sandwich up without it drooping. I ate with fork, it was fine. Just a bit disappointed. The NY Strip however, was melt in your mouth good, the demi glaze sauce was amazing too. Would definitely come back here if ever in area again. It was that good, even with the bad timing. So many other menu items i would love to try
