In the beginning he said all the right things, always responded right away, and had a great attitude. We agreed to an arrangement: I started pre-paying in October for snow plowing, he would keep me plowed through winter, and come spring, any funds left in the books would go toward the little trees I desperately need removed. Long story short, because it's not complicated, he never plowed me once. The one time I did get him to show up in March or April, his plow was broken so he came with a snowblower. He called on the way to my house that day needing gas money. Knowing he needed more than gas money I PREPAID another $100, even though he already owed me a few hundred. He did the absolute minimum snowblowing, didn't even go around my truck. Then 2days later called me and asked to "borrow $100, just till tomorrow". I loaned it to him. I know he had a rough winter, SO DID I. I gave him the benefit of the doubt over & over because I could relate. However he knew from day 1 that I'm a disabled Veteran living on a very limited fixed income and had to hire work done because I cannot do it myself. That was the point he stopped being nice to me. Stopped responding to me. Stopped communicating all together. I tried several times just to get that "borrowed" $100 back that month because it was my gas money. I kept trying to get Jason to just come do the work HE PROMISED TO DO for the $$$ I had already paid him. Zero response. If he would have just made good on his commitment all would be fine now. Since he ghosted me I decided to make a video about it for social media and take him to small claims court. ITS 199% WITHIN MY RIGHTS TO DO BOTH!!!! But I'll be damned if I didn't STILL feel bad for the guy - it really was a rough winter for him. So I made one final attempt to tell him my next steps in hopes he's just snap out of it and do the right thing. (Yes, this IS the short version!) He finally called me back AND YELLED AT ME and THREATENED me!!!! In Feb I had a very bad fall which had left me barely able to walk much most of the time, let alone defend myself... so I held off on the vid and trying small claims court is too much walking for me to do right now. So I was waiting for myself to at least be well enough to defend myself if needed. But now I see he's advertising again so I feel compelled to make it known... he seemed like a really nice guy. I thought he was genuine and sincere. And the photos of his work that he posts show really nice work. *I* however can't give you and photos because he did nothing for me and ran away with hundreds of $$$ of my money, AND threatened me when I tried to collect. So... Just don't pay him in advance and you'll probably be fine

They were the contractors for a certain home improvement store in our area. The job was done incorrectly and started failing within a few months - I should mention here that I was a roofer for several years, so I know what to look for. Perhaps I should have been more hawkish over them during the install, but I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, and I had about 7 other projects going at the same time. Besides, the client shouldn't have to look over the shoulder of a contractor. I called Sam a couple times (had to leave messages) to see if they wanted to come look at it with me before we went through the warranty process w/ the home improvement store. I did this because back when I was a contractor, I appreciated it when a client called me first when they had any issues, so I tried to offer him the same respect. This, however, was when he revealed his true nature. First off, he neglected to ever return any of the phone calls/messages. Within a few days I tried again, to no avail. An hour or so after trying, a friend suggested I use their cell phone. Wouldn't you know it, he immediately picked up! The moment he realized it was me, he got very angry and started blaming everyone else (we had other contractors at the house, but no one worked on the roof). If anyone reading this knows anything about shingle work, this part is especially for you - I tried to talk to him for about 15-20 minutes or so during the phone call (during which I was called an idiot and a liar). During this phone call, he said that you cannot patch a shingle roof without ripping everything up on a diagonal from the eve all the way up to wherever the repair needs to be done. I was so flabbergasted at this statement I didn't know what to say...that level of ignorance honestly surprised me. **If you don't know about laying shingles, you can YouTube "how to patch a shingle roof" and see what I'm talking about...there is absolutely no need to rip up everything! He was argumentative and hateful during this entire process, he never took responsibility, and he never even came out to look at what I was talking about. He actually refused to come out to our house, so the home improvement store had to figure out another way to settle the matter. I had to submit pictures and a video to them, but the home improvement store did what needed to be done, and resolved the matter to satisfaction. I have nothing negative to say about them. **They did this without the help of SQC, so even in the end SQC did not stand behind their work. I hope this helps someone. I have never written a yelp review before, and wouldn't here except I don't want other people to be taken advantage of by this "contractor".

The crew was dispatched in under a week, worked all day and returned the following date with a completely modified gate to finish up. Having them show me how extremely poorly the previously installed gate and post sections were "jury-rigged," they made sure the new pieces were properly installed, fixed and aligned. A massive improvement. If you want it done right, let Dimond do it the first time.

Upon follow up, I talked to someone in the office and got a quote for installed gutters or just fabricated gutters. I decided to go with the installed but told them not to do the downspouts, that I could do that part myself. I was told that it would be at least a two week wait(which sounded reasonable) and that I would get a call when they figured out the schedule. Without warning, they showed up at my house with no call ahead, I talked to the foreman and told him that I wasn't expecting them and found out that they only had an order to make the gutters but not install. I told him about my call for a quote, that I had set up for install but that they were to not do the downspouts. I had to leave but my nineteen year-old daughter was there if they had any questions. They did the install but when my daughter saw them doing the downspouts, they said that they might as well do them while they were on site. When they left, they didn't have my daughter sign a work order, they told her that I would be invoiced. I got the bill three days later and it was over budget due to the downspout install that was not ordered.. I called to discuss the issue, bringing up what I had ordered, that I was never called with an appointment date, that the crew had the wrong orders. I told them that I had no problem paying for the gutters and I would pay for the materials on the downspouts to offset their costs but I couldn't pay anymore. We could not come to an agreement on the charges. Like I said, my issue is with the management. You should always confirm an order and have the customer look at the work order and sign off that is the work that they want done, period. When the customer contacts you with an issue, don't ever be rude and tell them that it must be their mistake because your staff would never write an order down wrong. After working with a neutral party, we were able to resolve the issue by removing the downspouts from the home and bill. I am satisfied with this outcome.
