One of the team members assisted us and found a size small in their stored inventory! My daughter was super excited! Anyway, I swung by the Champs next to "Tarjay" first and found a pair of shoes that were comfy but kinda....goofy looking....so when I saw the Lady Foot Locker sign just a couple stores down, I figured it was a short enough walk to check out their goods before buying the shoes that were more befitting of Gossamer from Looney Tunes.... I walk in and it's pretty bustling considering it's not even noon yet! The sales associate is at the counter all by herself and she's juggling the phone, customers at the cashier she's ringing up and greeting yours truly as I walk in. Can you say....multi-tasker??! I took a quick look around and after she was done helping the customer on the phone and at the register, she came over and introduced herself as Veronica and asked if she could help me with anything. I told her I was looking for a simple, lightweight, black trainer that was petite and not bulky. She immediately recommended The Nike Free TR Fit... Known for it's internal structural support system and barefoot-like flexibility....as soon as I put them on, I noticed how extremely lightweight they were and felt them conform to my feet as if they were custom made. No need breaking in these bad boys! Thanks to Veronica for having the expertise to quickly find me a shoe that met my specifications. I was literally in and out in 10 minutes!

In the store I noticed that the insole was a bit strange... it was non-existent. Bare, and you could see the stitching. So I asked the salesperson, who was helping me, about this and she said that "you have to buy the insole". I was a bit shocked, and now I realize I was really, really naive. I plunked down an extra $20 for some fancy insoles and was pretty happy with my purchase for about 2 years and 7 months. With holes in the toes, and shoe rubber worn beyond repair, after getting my money's worth I retired them to the farm. I went online, to a store that rhymes with Snappoz, and found my beloved Nike Air Pegasus, now 29. I ordered them, dreading the whole missing insole thing. But when they arrived I noticed they had insoles. What the ****?! At that moment I realized that the salesperson at Lady Foot Locker lied... and took me for a sale. This store has no in-soul. Shame on me for not researching the shoes first, but I have had good service from Lady Foot Lockers in other cities and states. This one is a bit shady and the sales people are either lazy or too focused on their commissions to really help customers. I'll be buying my Nike Air Pegasus from somewhere else.
