The response I got was rude and dismissive I was told they "don't have any employees working." That would maybe make sense if there weren't multiple employees visibly walking around in pain sight with the blue necklace, on their phones, doing go-backs, or just standing around instead of helping check customers out. Clearly, staff was there. The 4 they had aren't being used properly. Long lines, poor communication, and zero urgency to help customers. This isn't a staffing issue, it's a management issue. Completely unacceptable for a busy store Not my first experience in the store.

Worst customer service specially from assistant manager. Dont know what I did to these employees but I didn't get a greeting like other customers who walked in after I did. The biggest selection of clothing is women's, although there is a small children and men's area. The shop is in a lovely former private home which also houses the offices of the Assistance League. There are plenty of housewares and decorative items and I often purchase greeting cards there for 75 cents each. The icing on the cake is that the Assistance League was the first nonprofit, non-sectarian, non partisan organization started in the western United States. The League's origin goes back to the great San Francisco Fire and Earthquake when Anne Banning, a Los Angeles society woman, and some of her friends, assisted victims of the disaster. Years later, in 1919, the first chapter of the league was formed and the work continues today. The money raised by the Assistance League goes right back into the local community and supports the arts for youth, among other things. You can drop your donations off during the hours the shop is open.
