Took both my 91 mil and 89 mother here to purchase shoes for them. The staff were very patient with them and were able to find shoes both liked (at their age, they can be picky and indecisive). Had a great experience at Walk This Way in choosing a pair of Naots this past summer. Lots of styles (casual + fancy) to choose from (and in other brands as well), and customer service was fantastic despite it being an extremely busy weekend day wtih some sort of nearby event going on (lots of foot traffic). I was fluctuating between two styles and the store associate - I forgot his name - honestly (but very kindly) definitely steered led me toward the right choice. Also very patient despite my screaming toddler in tow. Love my Naots and will return to this brick-and-mortar store for purchasing any other high-quality shoes in the future! read more

Small but nice local shoe shop that carries some brands for men. I needed some good summer footwear and decided to stop by this shop as they carry a small selection of Birkenstock. The employees were friendly and quick to get my size request and also helped me realize that a narrow fit works better for my feet. I was also interested in some of the sneaker offerings that Birkenstock has on their website and was told that they may be getting some of those items in eventually. Definitely will consider stopping by again to see their updated collection and expand my summer footwear range. read more

I really love the salespeople here - they are so friendly and helpful! And the shoes are fantastic. As I get older (I'm 54), I am trying to spend more on high quality shoes because I have so many female friends going through agony with their feet due to years of wearing cheap and non-supportive shoes. I'm investing in shoes that are supportive yet fashionable, and Walk This Way has a lot of them. This is my favorite shoe store! The selection, quality, and customer service are unbeatable. All the employees have been one of the main reasons I continuously return. My feet require a extra support, and the the carry smart, gorgeous and practical shoes for everyone! I've purchased at least 5 pairs of shoes with this store in the past 5 years. Love the Ecco sandals, Dansko clogs plus Mary Janes, and other classy and original shoes we can't find just anywhere. Typically they always have my size available. They always respect my needs and preferences. This store is the model for perfect salesmanship, hospitality, and friendly service. TEN STARS if I could! Such AMAZING customer service from David!! I had called him earlier in the day to find out if they had Dansko clogs in stock. I described to him what I was looking for, and my size, and he confirmed that they did. This was my very first time visiting Walk This Way. I don't live in the area, but I will go OUT OF MY WAY to shop here again. David was very busy when I walked in. Regardless, he greeted me as soon as I walked in the door, and remembered our conversation from earlier in the day. He took me straight to the clogs I was looking for, and showed me similiar styles that he anticipated I might like. He then promptly brought me the clogs for me to try on, and kept checking back in with me. He helped me to confirm that I had selected the correct size. His customer service is STELLAR! This level of excellent service can no longer be found ANYWHERE! Not at Nordstrom's, Bloomingdale's, or any other high end boutique or department store. Now let's talk about the store itself. Many brick and mortar stores have closed their doors. Their products are only available online. The brick and mortar stores that still remain open, don't even carry 10% of what's on their website, in the store. No chance to try before you buy, and forget about picking something up at the last minute. Walk This Way is a GEM!! Not only are their doors still open, they actually carry their products IN STORE! I finally found a shoe store that carries shoes with the right support for my feet! And they have great customer service, too! I recently purchase a pair of tennis shoes with leather uppers that didn't conform to the top of my feet. The shoes were actually causing me a good deal of pain. Walk in this morning to look for a comfy pair of shoes for my mom. I briefly spoke with a woman who recommended a shoe and I told her I would bring my mom back to try them on. As I walked out the store, I placed the shoe on a rack towards the entrance since I've never been here before. Fast forward 45 min later. I'm staying across the street waiting for my son to finish his art class when this man comes up to me and says "excuse me mam, I need you to bring back that shoe". Very rude. My nice day. Who would steal one shoe? When I told him I placed it on the counter, he said go show me where it is. I was very upset at the fact that he was accusing me of stealing one shoe. I told him that he should check before he leads to conclusions and he said no. I told him I would write this complaint because that was so out of line. He yelled and said he didn't care. I've got MS and consequently not only are stilettos a thing of the past, but so is just plain old balance. Harrump. I wanted something supportive but not beige, laced, or Velcroed across panty hose encased swollen feet (not that I I have that, but it creates a visual). Walk This Way Shoes was my answer, again! My sales person (I wish I'd gotten his name!) was patient beyond belief, helped me pick out two pairs of hip Taos sandals that kept me from falling over, and listened to my ongoing banter about the crummy foot card I was dealt by life. He was funny, knowledgeable, kind, sweet and bald. Pay attention to your poor feet. If they work fine now, excellent, but be nice to them. I bought my daughter a spectacular pair of rose gold Birkenstocks as she is on her feet all day and I know she will thank me 30 years down the line. This shop is not just for the pedi-challenged! Casual, functional and stylish shoes at reasonable prices. Great find for the wife. One of her friends recommended this place and she loves it, especially the American brand called Munro. The equivalent of Mephistos (?) but more fashionable. Has bought 5 pair so far.#%!%# :-) She works in a hospital and walks a lot. The daughter is in NYC and we walk a lot there, too. These are the shoes she wears at work and takes when we visit. Saw a review below and it appears unfair to us. 1. This is primarily a woman's shoe store but they do have men's shoes; primarily Clarks at reasonable prices. 2. All shoes we checked were priced. 3. Service is very good and certainly better than mall stores that are run by teenagers. The wife is is not an easy sell but this is now her first stop. read more

I called this store and asked if they sold men's shoes, and they said they did. What they SHOULD have said was that 20% of their inventory (if that) was men's shoes, and the other 80% women. That being said, their selection of menswear was not that impressive. Also, all the shoes that were on sale were for women too. Seriously, just forget about selling to men. Service was ok for what it was, but I also noticed that there were no prices anywhere. I used to work for someone (I won't mention names but let's just say they've definitely earned their one-star average review on Yelp) who did that, and it was partly to deceive customers. I'm not saying that Walk This Way hides prices for that reason, but I would like to know how much my new feet armor are going to cost without having to ask an employee. That being said, I feel like my shoes were overpriced. Also, my card was declined for no reason. That may or may not be the fault of the store but it certainly was annoying after the requisite "OHNO I IS OVERDRAFT" moment and discovering the false alarm. If the arch support for my shoes wasn't failing and I could wait for online ordering, I would have gone with someplace like Zappos instead. I kind of wish I did anyway, but the shoes I got look nice and seem to have good support; that's the only good thing. Bottom line: Poor men's selection, overpriced shoes, and no clear pricing. Excellent customer service. Bought a pair of Naot sandals there and the strap broke on one of the shoes only after three weeks of owning them. Called and spoke with David he said bring them in we'll take care of it. So the next day I brought them in and he immediately switched them out for a brand new pair. Had a terrible experience here at the store. We walked in to check out the various shoes and could not have been greeted in a more rude fashion. The owner, Julie (we discovered she was the owner later -- her having lied and said she was merely the manager), gave us a mean look as soon as we entered the store. When we asked to try on some different shoes we were ignored for nearly 10 minutes as the owner talked on the phone (a personal call), gabbing away and not seemingly the least bit interested in our business. Overall, the place is far too overpriced but the staff is really not worth the trip. Take your business elsewhere. read more

I had the most pleasant and helpful experience yesterday. David was knowledgable about my painful foot condition and showed me several options of shoes. I'm going to Washington D. C. this week and will be doing a lot of walking. I settled on the 990 New Balance; David is a throwback to the days when shoe salesmen actually fitted the customer, put them on you and made sure they fit properly. He was engaging, relatable and had a great sense of humor. He shared his experience with the same foot issue, and I'm taking his advice on a good tip for an exercise! AVOID THIS PLACE!! (unless crappy customer service is your thing). I had bought two pairs of shoes from this store for my father (he works long hours and never has the time to go shopping for himself). The man who had assisted me with the purchase informed me that any shoe can be returned back to the store within 15 days of purchase date for a full refund, as long as it had not been worn and was in resellable condition. This policy is also clearly stated on their receipts. My dad wore these pairs at home and decided they weren't the right fit for him. "Okay", one would think, "these things happen. They are shoes. Not every shoe is a perfect fit for an individual." Many people have difficulty finding the right fit for them when switching to a new pair. Obviously, the store must be aware of this given their return policy...right? Quite the contrary. An associate (or perhaps owner) at the store decided to berate me for returning both shoes, informing me that what I had done was not "kosher"- a clearly subjective accusation on his behalf. Even after I had made it clear to him that the shoes were bought for a third party who wasn't able to physically shop there, he continued to make disparaging remarks, going so far as to even attack my character. To the owner- if you cannot handle the risks associated with having a certain policy in place at your store, then change the policy to better reflect what you view is "kosher" and fair. Otherwise, honor a policy stated on your receipts without throwing a hissy fit, because degrading a customer for returning shoes that were unworn, in resellable condition, and returned within a fifteen-day window is incredibly inappropriate and absurd. I also find it very amusing for an associate to accuse me of "wasting his time" while standing behind a counter in an empty store with no customers perusing their (limited) selection of shoes. What a delightful little store. Ever since the store opened, every time I walk into that store I leave with one or two pairs of shoes! They carry such unique shoes that are not only functionally great but are also trendy-looking. I have been complimented on many of my shoes that I have bought at the store. I have found shoes from European countries that I can't find anywhere else. And the store employees are very attentive. Once I was in the store and saw them bring out maybe 20 pairs of shoes for a very difficult customer and they were really nice about it. I see some people have commented on shoes being expensive at this store. I don't think they are any more or less expensive than anywhere else and even if I had to pay a few dollars more, it is worth the personal attention, uniqueness, variety and the comfort of the styles they offer. Outstanding service! I saw they had a pair of shoes that I was having trouble finding elsewhere. When I asked for a 43, they only had a 42, but called the manufacturer right then to order them, only to be told 43s wouldn't be available for 5 more months. I left my name in hopes of some day receiving a call. 3 days later, they called to let me know they'd struck a deal with the distributor and my 43s were in the store waiting for me. I Went into Walk This Way Shoes two months ago to buy a pair of Dansko clogs.I Let the salesman know that I was buying them as "barn shoes". He advised me that Dansko was the shoe that most people used for around the barn. I purchased a pair of Dansko clogs and the shoes cost $130.00. About a month and a half after wearing them (not everyday) the upper insides of both shoes "caved in". I could no longer wear them. I took them back to Walk This Way Shoes and was told that they were sorry but, they couldn't take them back, give me a new pair or a store credit. I had my receipt with me. I had the shoes for less than two months. Apparently less than two months used as a barn shoe wasn't normal wear and tear. Even though this shoe is considered an equestrian clog. He said I should call Dansko myself! This is TERRIBLE customer service. It was not the first time I have purchased a pair of Dansko clogs from Walk This Way Shoes but, it will be my last. Had I purchased these shoes online I would have had no problem returning them. I wanted to support a local business. Now I'm sorry that I did. I would recommend the next time you consider buying a pair of shoes from them, go in and find out your size then buy them online. read more

I was looking for a specific sandal and it was sold out everywhere including Zappos. They had a option to click on where Zappos would let me know it there was some re-stocked.
