I've been going to Lacquer for a few months now. I can't say enough great things about the service and the staff. The staff is so friendly and fun to talk to during my appointments. I brought a friend in once for an appointment and it was the perfect birthday gift for her. They accommodated us and it was a lot of fun! The quality is top notch and so consistent. I have been to different nail techs at Lacquer - Lisa, Julie and Katie - and always leave with a perfect gel manicure. I can be picky about my eyebrows too and Katie always does a great job. I'm excited to try more services. I always get compliments on my nails and nail art. Also, the salon is immaculate and airy - no chemical smell. I really love the art and the vibe. I came here for microblading which was performed by Taylor, who is listed as the apprentice but don't let that scare you, she was awesome. Very easy to talk to and explained the procedure and aftercare thoroughly - but most importantly, she did such a great job! I had a pre-wax done by Toria who was also great AND a wax & tint by Emily who was also wonderful. I get compliments on my brows every day (seriously)! I love that the wax/tints are included in the price of the microblading service. Looking forward to trying other services here. read more

I cannot speak of the service because I never made it to working with anyone. I can say the customer service is very poor. I walked in for my first appointment and was ignored by the 4 girls working there, they were working with other people but I had an appointment and it was my first time at this place. I took a seat for a few minutes, and then stepped outside for a moment. When I walked back in, again all four girls looked up at me, all four then ignored me. I stood in the front to see if someone would acknowledge me. One girl finally asked in a very rude tone "do you have an appointment" which I replied yes, and I was told to have a seat. Still waiting 15 minutes past my appointment slot a guy walks in and is immediately addressed and then sat for a pedicure. At that point no one has greeted me or checked to see when my appointment time was, I decided to leave. I was excited to finally check this place out since I could walk there but there is obviously zero desire to make a new customer feel welcomed. Luckily there are plenty of other quality places in the area that treat their customers well. I would avoid this place at all cost. read more

The location is awesome, right in the middle of Victorian Village. It was easy to book an appointment using the online booking feature. I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours. I was really excited to try this place because of the great reviews, but my experience was really disappointing. The decor in the salon is awesome and I agree there is no smell whatsoever. My appointment was on a Monday and it didn't look too busy. I was a few minutes early and I was told to have a seat on the couch. I waited over 20 minutes and then when she ushered me over to her station she didn't even say "thanks for waiting" or "I'm sorry for the wait" which I thought was rude. The manicure itself was ok, nothing to write home about. However, I woke up the next morning and my nails started chipping immediately. Three nails were only half polished by the afternoon. Most manicures I've had last 4-5 days before they start chipping and this was less than 24 hours! I went back to the salon and they were able to fix them which, I appreciated but it was inconvenient to have to return to fix something that should have been done right in the first place. I have mixed reviews on Lacquer. I have had really good and really bad service here. Let's start with the good. I used to get my acrylics done here and have had many great gel manicures done before. I love the color selection and the staff is super cool to talk to. The bad - a few months ago I had an extremely damaging hair experience. A girl literally bleached my hair off and was no longer available for appointments shortly after. Super sketch... I've been returning for nail services until last time I waited over 25 minutes for my pedicure appointment. I had to approach the front desk who admitted they had "forgotten about me" Again the girl who did my nails was nice, but after 3 days most of my pedicure chipped off. I have had many a pedicure and have never seen the polish chip off that fast. Needless to say, there are so many nail salons competing for business in Columbus that I have gone elsewhere. If Lacquer is going to charge higher prices , they should give consistent, amazing service . read more

Y'all I can't tell you how amazing this place is! As soon as you walk in you receive a warm welcome and are made to feel right at home like you're with some of your best friends. The space is so beautiful and CLEAN YALL. It's awesome to se everyone take such pride in their workspace and legit smiles on their faces. So far, I've had a pedi (incredible), gel mani (stunning), and my brows waxed (phenomenal) and have been so impressed. The waxing overall was a huge deal for me. I have super sensitive skin and my skin easily lifts. I spoke with the incredible Kanoa about my anxieties and what typically happens and she made some suggestions and helped put me at ease. Honestly she was amazing. My brows have never looked better-even my boyfriend noticed a difference. The ladies who did my nails (I'm sorry I forgot your names, I had a stressful day!) were super sweet and my toes and fingers have never looked better. Trendy, affordable nail salon that is about to be a full salon! I originally started going to Lisa and Julie at Blake Rose, and eagerly followed them to Lacquer. The space is so fun and all of the girls do great work. Katie always makes my nails look good and is so sweet. The best salon I've been to! I got a gel manicure here over a week ago and it was a wonderful experience, and my nails are still looking great. The salon itself is so cute, clean, adorably decorated and it's pretty big as well (and as a bonus, no strong nail salon smell!). Sierra did my nails and she was super nice and did a great job. I appreciated that it didn't take forever (about 30-40 minutes total) and I didn't have to wait at all when I got there. Also loved that I could make an appointment through Yelp. Have been to Lacquer a few times & saw Julie. She is great! Super outgoing & does an amazing pedicure & gel manicure! The place is super cute & fun! Very disappointed in the service I received yesterday. I scheduled a basic pedi 4 days ahead and received a call 3 hours before the apt. that said my apt was cancelled because their tech called off, so I agreed to a different pedi, a more simple one that I didn't necessarily want. When I got their 5 min late due to traffic I was told I cannot get anything but a polish change anymore, and the receptionist was arguing with me. Their policy is if you don't show up to an apt or cancel less then 24 hrs then they charge you for the full service because you wasted their time, well they wasted my time and all I got was a 50% off next service, which I didn't take, lets just say I won't be going back!! I have told a few friends about this experience and they agree that bad service tops over quality anytime. It just baffles me that their owner always has a smart comment to say back to the customers anytime she gets a negative review instead of just apologizing. Multi millionaire companies treat their customers better then this small business salon does!!! read more

They were welcoming and friendly, I went with my girl friend and we brought some wine and had a great time. Yes booking online is a def bonus and even though our appts weren't ready on time it wasn't a problem to wait on the couch. Staff was friendly and made sure the water was the right temp for my pedi even after first saying it was ok then changing my mind that it was too hot, Katie made no deal out of changing it for me. Lisa is such a breath of fresh air, this small nail salon is so warm and welcoming. On the window sill are plenty of coffee table books and candy galore! I came in for a standard manicure and Lisa was very efficient, friendly, and warm which a nail tech should be. I even had a hand scrub afterwards and it smelled GREAT! The gal that did my nails was very nice and I think she did a nice job. However, in less than 24 hours, my gel nail application popped off two of my nails, and I didn't even do any dishes! Bummer. I love the color choices at Lacquer but OPI gel seems to go on smoother and last longer. Also, the removal process here is different than every other place I've gone -- they soak it off in a bowl vs a cotton pad/foil. Therefore, the smell is a bit nauseating. It doesn't seem like a healthy or environmentally friendly technique. read more

I booked an appointment with Julie, and she did such an amazing job! I showed her a picture of the nail art design that I was looking for, and she recreated it perfectly.
