EDIT: Reached out via Instagram to management who was more than accommodating and willing to fix my nails. Returned on 8/14/20 to the salon where Susan evaluated my nails and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to fix them. It was an entirely different experience and my nails now look amazing. The level of customer service that I received on 8/14 was unparalleled and I couldn't be happier that I returned. Can't wait to come back next time. Went here 8/13/20 and wanted to love this shop because of its great location and beautiful storefront. That being said, I received one of the worst dip manicures ever. The tips were haphazardly glued on and there was nail glue all over my fingers and skin. The shape of the nails (square) is crooked and uneven between my two hands. The lengths between my nails on both hands are completely uneven as well. The dip powder was applied entirely too thick and then shaved down, resulting in awkward color patches and a horribly thick manicure. I left the shop bleeding, due to sloppy work with the drill. I also got a facial wax, and the paper sheet on the pillow and the sheets on the bed were NOT changed before my wax or after (that I saw because the technician turned the lights off and left the room before I had even gotten up from the waxing table) I sincerely wish that I hadn't wasted my money on trying this place and am incredibly disappointed with the quality of service that I received read more

I went in for a pedicure yesterday. I choose the $43 pedicure with gel polish Total $63. I called today to let them know I would be returning for someone to fix this problem. They told me to come in to fix the problem. I arrived today and the manager tells me, "this is dry skin (in a nasty manner)." She goes on yelling telling me it's dry skin and never fixed the problem. I left with my feet looking a week old due that fact I didn't want to get upset. I normally go to Cumberland Mall to see my girl Paula upstairs.However she didn't have any appointment. I will never ever return to this nail salon or will I recommend any supporting this business. This is a big learning lesson stick to what you know. read more

The place is really nice and so are the people. My reason for not 5 stars is because I wasn't completely happy with my set considering it was 85 dollars! All I got was foil and a clear top coat on them. Some of the nails are different sizes also, they didn't come out even. I can't take a picture of both my hands but one of my thumb nails is bigger / longer than the other thumb nail and It's a noticeable difference. Other than that at least they came out decent. (Maybe the price for nails is really that expensive out here, disclaimer: I'm from California our full sets with gel polish range from 40-70 and usually you get exactly what you want) Aside from price I'm really just mad how my nails came out different lengths on the other hand. read more

Love love love my nails! I used to drive 45+ to get to my old nail tech but after today i feel like i no longer need to make that drive! For starters the service is A1 the moment you walk through the door! I'm used to the typical nail salons where you don't get greeted you just get asked what do you want done. I love that they check up on you mid service and even offer water and wine (a big plus) i didnt expect much walking in especially after having to go on a man hunt to find it (I'm new to the area so having to go downstairs to the belt line confused the fell out of me) but after finding it i was more than impressed! New fave nail spot in the Metro Atlanta Area. When you first walk into the shop, you will be warmly greeted and welcomed. The decor is chic mid-century modern, and everything is very clean. I've had great experiences at Lacquer! I had one experience with an SNS mani that was not on par with my typical experience and they were quick to assist and offered to fix it for free! The only change I'd ever want is validation for parking in the paid lot near the salon, but there's usually plenty of street parking in the area and it's just off the Beltline so easy to walk/bike to there are options! read more

Love this place! They definitely pay attention to detail. I love how responsible they've been with the covid precautions as well. It feels clean and safe! They are a bit on the pricier side but I'm willing to pay for high quality nails. I needed to get the perfect shade of pink/white and they took the time to work with me. Great service. Super clean environment. Lots of brand new massage chairs. Spacious, they offer you something to drink. Lots of color options. I had Todd. He did a great job on my pedicure. Friendly staff. Fair prices. Cool branding. Just off the beltline. Not a long wait to be seen though if you don't want to wait long best to have an appointment. I had a 3:45pm apt and was brought in around 4pm. Bathrooms are clean. They have a changing table if you have a baby. I love that there are both male and female and all kinds of clientele, and I also love that there are men and women mani/pedicurists. It challenges the gender stereotypes for both customer and employee. It does smell a bit in here though, it's not a stench or a gross smell but it is like an acetone/nail polish smell that isn't bad but it's strong. Absolutely great service here the 2 times i came in for a pedicure. Both times i got a male technician who really did a great job. You can tell they try hard to do a great job and please their customers! Its beautiful here and right on the beltline. The managers and front staff are equally lovely. Its right near the studioplex where i work so its really convenient for us Sudioplexers. Ill be back everytime for sure. read more

I had a wonderful experience! They are still fairly new, so we had the place to ourselves. The employees were friendly and made polite conversation. They finished mine and my friend 's pedicures quickly, but thoroughly. I didn't feel rushed as I have at other places around town. I felt they both did an excellent job and our toes look great! We we're able to relax in a space with lots of natural light, and a beautiful view of the beltline! They even offered for us to stay and chill in the massage chairs if we wanted! My friend and I have been looking for a go-to nail salon for a while. This was the fourth one we've tried. We think this might be our go-to now for multiple reasons: the nail technicians do a great job, people watching on the belt line adds another element to your salon visit, cleanliness of the salon, variety of colors, and the kindness of the nail technicians. The customer service here is outstanding from moving your bags for you, throwing any of your trash away, etc. One downside is that parking can be a hassle, but for me it's worth it. read more

I've been going to this place since they opened. I'm usually pleased with the service here. Today was different . I went in for a repair and to get my eyebrows waxed . Waited a half an hour to get my eyebrows done . Just to sit and wait another half an hour to get my toe fixed. About 5 women came in after me and where serviced before me . The one day My services don't require a bunch of money to be spent the customer service was poor! Spent nearly an hour and a half in this place just to only leave with my eyebrows done . I'm giving 3 stars because of how friendly the staff is, and this is a cute, clean salon. I am, however, disappointed in the quality of my last 2 manicures. I get SNS dip powder and each time not even a week after the sns starts cracking. I work remotely, I am not doing intensive activities with my hands, so this should not be happening. The first time I reached out and the salon re-painted my nails for free, which is so appreciated. The second manicure when this happened I did not reach out again, just went back to the salon I was at before trying Lacquer. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. read more

I've gone to Lacquer Nails twice, and both times the nail technicians were extremely rough when filing/drilling my nails. The first time I went, I got SNS with tips and for some reason my nail beds were lifting when they removed the polish. When I showed my nails to one of the customer service members, she said "well, we don't know what your nails looked like before. Sorry". I wanted to give the nail bar another chance, but was disappointed again. The second time I went, the nail tech was filing my nails so hard she was scrubbing my skin and my nails were burning. I was incredibly disappointed, as the salon has such a friendly vibe and elegant ambiance. I asked the nail tech if she could be more gentle, but was ignored. I also asked if they had a chocolate brown SNS, but was told no. I even asked them a picture of the color I was looking for. I settled for a different shade but as I was leaving, I saw another woman that got there after me getting a chocolate brown SNS manicure. I told them that was the color I was interested in getting, and all they said was "oh". Not sure if this was discriminatory or not. I left spending way too much money for sore nails, and a manicure that looks opaque. Other reviews can attest to this. read more

Was headed to hang out with friends on the beltline and stopped by at 6:45 pm when they close at 8 pm. It was nearly empty (maybe 4 customers inside) and was told that they could not take me. I'm not sure what kind of nail salon doesn't take customers over an hour before they close... I guess one that doesn't want business. Very disappointing since I planned my night around getting my nails done here then going out. Will never try to come here ever again. read more

Best SNS ever! The salon is very nice right on the Beltline. Super clean and friendly. My SNS nails have lasted a month and I am still getting compliments ( no lie). I wish I lived closer to go to them every 2 weeks like I normally would. I literally have not gotten them redone elsewhere because my nails are doing so great. The location is great, right on the Beltline--heaven for a lover of people watching like myself. Customer service was top notch. They greeted me with enthusiasm and very willing to help. One of the managers (I believe) even came over when my services were almost complete to check the technicians work, and to ask me how everything was. Beautiful and clean interior. I went during the day on a weekday, so I can't speak to how busy it is. But they're new, so not as busy I'm sure as they'll be over the next few months. The only 2 reasons I didn't give them a full 5 stars, is because I got a pedicure and gel manicure. They did both services at the same time in the pedicure chair. It was hard to relax and enjoy my pedicure when someone is working on your hands and feet at the same time. They also used pre-portioned packs of scrub and lotion during the pedicure--a lot of waste/trash with the packaging, which is not environmentally friendly, and made me cringe a little thinking about the trash. Both reasons are personal preferences, but would still highly recommend this place. read more

I recently stopped by lacquer for a spa mani-pedi. As I live in the area, I was able to bike there with ease. For those who are not familiar to the area, Lacquer is across from Krog Street Market/ Bell street burritos in the new development with the Nina and Rafi pizza and Playa bowls. I came in on a Friday afternoon at 1pm and had no wait without appointment. I had both my nails and pedicure done at the same time. The location is very nice so the amenities were nice with a great collection of colors. The manager is a younger man with a much nicer demeanor then your typical salon manager. He stopped by a few times to make sure things were going well. I thought the techs were pretty meticulous about my nails. The sanitation was on point. The pedicure and manicure together was about $43 which is comparable to salons in the area- which is nice as this is definitely prime locale. I also liked that the pedicure included a salt scrub which is often extra. I never felt rushed which was nice. My only major complaint about this place is like other salons, they are heavily plastic reliant- plastic bottles and cups. I wish more places would just switch over to glass/or re-usable cups completely. Overall, I would be back. read more

Only putting a one star because I have to. This is my second time having a bad experience here. The first, the nail technician cut my cuticles on my toes WAY too far that my skin was sensitive and my skin all cut up. I was even given 10% off for my bad experience (not that it really makes a difference). I said to myself I wouldn't go back but out of convenience I went yesterday. This time, a pedicure and dip nails. Not only are my dip nails THICK and Bubbly, but I now have an infection on my big toenail! I am a runner, and sometimes get ingrown toenails and now I am not able to run because my toe is sensitive and infected. I will NEVER go back to this place. Not only am I annoyed about the money that I spent, but the fact that I may have to now see a doctor after spending the money. I would upload a picture, but it's not pretty. read more

They take the necessary precautions to ensure safety from wearing masks upon entry, washing hands and distancing from other patrons. In addition to that, the prices are great. I had by far the best experience, the location is slightly difficult to locate if you're not familiar with Atlanta. But from the moment I called them it was excellent service. I walked in and it was clean, warm and inviting. They were not pushy and very nice and patient. Also, they took the time to talk to me and I feel like I've known them for years.
