The Whitaker St. salon location does not exist. It's an empty storefront that is locked and inaccessible. I made an appointment via their website, which listed this as the address. When I called, I received a voicemail box that told me to make an appointment via the exact site I used. I left a voicemail stating that I was at a location that does not, in fact, exist and could someone please call me back. I never received a callback, and that was about 2 weeks ago. Fortunately, I opted to pay later and didn't have to worry about trying to get my money back. If the Whitaker St location is no longer a valid salon location, they need to remove it from their website so others don't get duped into making appointments and/or paying ahead for appointments that won't be honored. read more

I made an appointment and still had to wait an hour before being helped... luckily I had nowhere else to be because it took up my whole afternoon. after waiting an hour, it took another 2.5 hrs for a mani/pedi that was subpar at best. no lotion was used at all. my "long lasting gel mani that is supposed to last longer than dip" only lasted 3 days before they chipped off and 5 days later were completely off. it was also outrageously overpriced. after tip and all i paid roughly $130, which i have never paid anywhere else ever before. I am giving it 2 stars though for convenient location & cleanliness of the entire salon. I personally would not recommend. read more

Alex is very nice and quickly accommodated us on short notice. HOWEVER, be warned. I paid $90 + tip NINETY DOLLARS for a gel "manicure" and SNS removal. The nail shape is inconsistent and the gel work is uneven. There was no soak, no lotion. Just some (very rough) cuticle trimming and polish. I'm honestly going to be surprised if this last past a week. Meanwhile my friend got a mani/pedi for $85 with regular polish. Again, no massage, lotion, etc. We were there a total of 3 hours and the polish was smudged immediately after leaving and the money is down the drain. We are only in town for three days and this cut into our trip budget significantly. Never in my life have I paid over $100 for a crumby manicure until today. I'm so disappointed in both the unreasonable price and the overall outcome of our nails. I was in Savannah for the day, and I really needed to get my nails done. I had my gel on for 3.5 weeks and it was growing out and just didn't look great. I called Polished and was able to get an appointment within two hours. The salon is beautiful! It was so clean and bright inside. Everyone who works there is so nice! It was really a challenge to get the gel manicure off - we're talking multiple rounds of acetone and a decent amount of scraping but my manicurist (I'm so sorry I forgot her name!!!) was so patient and so nice about it all. I love that they use Zoya (which I think is 5 free or 7 free nail polish) and that the salon didn't smell like chemicals. I definitely recommend Polished Beauty Lounge! The massage she gave me and my boyfriend was amazing, and the decor was cute but I honestly would never recommend this to anyone... if you get your nails/toes done regularly and you pay attention to what they are doing you know the process of a gel pedicure and how they should look after. I had gel on my toes previously and I don't think she owned a drill because she only scratched the remainder gel off ... My toe nails look blotchy, they are not opaque, they have no top coat on them. I walked in to this salon without an appointment and was able to take me right away! Alex was wonderful and was able to "fix" a damaged toenail so you can't even tell how bad it looked before (see photo). In 20 years + no nail tech has ever recommended a gel nail to replace the damaged and I think it looks great! I was looking for a local salon to get a regular manicure. I walked in and the place looked clean. I use my own polish and they said they would give me 10% off. Never has that offered anywhere before. The person who gave me the manicure was veRy personal and loved to talk Maybe too much. But I wasn't in a hurry. The utensils didn't appear to be sanitized and the table was very small. My manicure was fair at best. She did a poor job filing my naIls and awful job with the polish. One day later and my polish is already chipping. The worse part was the bill. $35!!!! What a rip off. Alex took her time with my toes. They look great. The scrub was wonderful. No lotion though. As a nurse, I'm on my feet 99% of my 14 hour day and use my hands a lot. No idea how this place has such a high rating. The lady there was nice enough, but did a very poor job. I didn't want polish on my toes, but when it came to polish on my fingers... it was uneven and clumpy. Most of her effort was put into my foot soak and scrub. Literally no effort into my nails. Everyone was nice and the place was clean and pretty, so I'm sorry to give such a bad review, but I paid $55 for a no-chip mani and one polish started lifting off the same day! By the second day, 5 nails had chipped/polish lifted off. I was on vacay, so I wasn't doing anything aggressive with my nails and didn't even wash any dishes. I was in Savannah a few weeks ago for my wedding. The day before, my bridesmaids and I had reservations at another local nail spa to spend the afternoon. However, the day before the salon canceled due to staffing issues. That's where Polished comes in. We called and they made the arrangements to take all eight of us in at the last minute. When we arrived we were greeted by the most friendly and professional staff I've ever encountered at a nail salon. They really made the day special for us, laughing and joking around with us the entire afternoon. In addition to amazing staff, the spa itself was extremely clean and bright. The scrubs, which I believe they said they are made on site or are from a local vendor, came in various scents and left our skin feeling soft and glowing. I had a regular pedicure and gel manicure, both of which lasted the wedding and my honeymoon. I'll definitely be going again the next time I'm in town and would 10000000% recommend Polished to anyone looking for a great mani/pedi! read more

I scheduled and paid in full for a manicure/pedicure a day prior to my wedding. However, when I showed up to the salon for my appointment, it was locked and no one was there. I made several attempts to contact someone at the number listed without success. I finally received a phone call back from the owner/manager who said the person who was supposed to provide services had a last minute emergency and that the owner/manager herself would be there to help me and that she would call me when she arrived. I did not ever receive a call that she arrived. My fiance and I spend more than 2 hours waiting and received no services, no apologies, and no refund. It has been very difficult to get ahold of anyone via phone and I have yet to receive a refund and instead was blamed for no-showing the appointment. I understand that things happen that are outside of our control, but then good customer service should take over to make things right. I ended up needing to involve my bank to assist with obtaining a refund for services never rendered. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. read more

Bad vibes. Nail tech was constantly looking at her phone in front of me, would disappear to the "back" for long amounts of time and would ask a question but "zone out" when I responded. It was the weirdest salon experience I have ever had. No parking, and I had a ticket when I returned to my car (my fault because I was nervous about being late for my appt.) Bonus: received an incoherent text from the new owner, laced with bad grammar and misspelled words, never addressing my unpleasant experience, but imploring me to remain a patron. Beautiful salon - I've done pedicures here twice. The technician even turned on Pandora Disney for my daughter. Their color selections are immense and it's hard to choose from so many gorgeous colors. I wish they took more walk-ins and weren't so short staffed. read more

I'm in Savannah for a few days and managed to partially tear a nail, so I wanted to get it mended before it ripped off entirely. I was a walk in at the start of their day but there was no problem taking care of me. I explained what I needed and they spelled out exactly what would be done and how much it would cost. I was given the option to prepay and pretip so I wouldn't mess my polish at the end. I was so pleased with the process and the results.
