Hands down the best Barber shop in the west valley. Rob and his crew are all very well skilled with all their grooming tools. It's hard to find a favorite barber amongst Rob and his crew because they're all very good and very consistent with all types of cuts and hair types. I'm very comfortable with recommending lads & dads to all demographics and people groups. They handle it all . I've been their loyal customer for about 4 yrs and my 80yr old father has been going for about 2yrs. My favorite is a 1.5 against the grain up top and blended down to a zero with a razor edging front and back. read more

I just have to say I haven't been in the shop for almost a year because I started dreads! Before then I was in the shop every two weeks getting my cut by rob! This is by far the beat barber shop you will go to very kind. Very skilled barbers never had a bad experience. Definitely never paid $30 for a haircut. Idk why anyone would say that a taper is $16 if you got your beard lined up it's like an additional $10 but that's if you need a lot of work done on your beard. The haircut was good, Alex hooked it up. Didn't ask for a tip or anything. The reason I'm doing 3 stars is because I set an appointment online with another barber (Paulina) and when I showed up she was starting on a haircut. I understand good haircuts take time, but if you're setting up your appointment blocks to 30 minutes, you should be able to meet those timelines. Would I be upset if she said, I'll be done in 10-15? No, but she didn't even say anything. The owner had to ask Alex to get me, or else I would have waited 30+ minutes after my appointment. I'd recommend Alex, very cool guy. read more

I've been going to Lads for over 12 years and it's by far the best NY barber shop I've ever been to!!! The shop is incredibly clean and everybody who works there are always professional. I've had my hair cut here about 6 or 7 times now and I'll continue to go here for future cuts. The owner is a nice guy and all but 1 of his crew give great cuts. He's got one guy who's done a poor job on my cut twice now. Every time I've gone, I notice he takes too many calls on his cell and he jokes around too much. But him aside, all the other barbers and the owner are on top of their game. I just try to avoid the one dude. read more

I've been coming to this barber shop for over a decade. It is the best barber shop I've ever been to. Spacious, well lit and clean. Multiple TV's play for your entertainment while waiting. As others have noted Robert is the nicest person, as well as being an expert barber. All of the barbers here are competent as well as being sports experts..lol. My preferred barber was busy so I decided to give this shop a chance, I live mins away and been here just once (got a good cut too).. I got a guy I hadn't seen since the last time I was there, and I asked for a specific cut, even showed him a pic of it on my phone- no room for error or otherwise right? As he was cutting I felt like he was going higher all the time, correcting mistakes, but I didn't interrupt him, telling myself that he is a prof barber and he knows what he's doing - when he was done, he held the mirror and showed me the fade only on the bottom half of my head, not the sides- NOT what I had showed him in the pic at all, instead I got a marine high fade cut with uneven sides and cuts and scrapes from his blade and machine. That was my bad - he was talking to his peers and not focused on me at all, just the convo he was having - again that was my bad, I should've called him out on the spot as this is a service I am paying for, I also tipped him $5 for courtesy read more

Quality of work has dramatically gone down. I've been a coming here for 8 months about every 2 weeks. I bring pictures of what exactly I want. The time before last Robert gave me a new uneven hairline last time I went in and gave me a high fade (higher on one side too) when I specifically, with pictures, asked for a medium/low fade. I get mistakes happen, so I went back and Robert seemed like he was in a hurry, which I understand given the amount of customers that were there, but that shouldn't effect how good of a job or how much effort you put in. Anyhow, my last hair cut I showed him pictures of a low fade I wanted- gave me a high fade again. I wanted a part in the side of my head, that I showed a picture of, he put a 1/4 bald gap on the side of my head. The line up was worse than last time, he even shaved off 3/4ths of an inch of my hairline on my right temple. If you're looking for a quality haircut I suggest you go elsewhere, this is not the place. read more
