Chris at Ridge Street was AWESOME -- over the phone with a description of the symptoms, he was able to confidently tell me exactly what he would do to to confirm his hypothesis. We brought the car in and it worked out really well -- he did the diagnostic and confirmed his suspicion. There was no pressure to get the car fixed with him, and he told us that we could still drive the car and got us on on merry way. After getting our day done, we simply dropped the car off at the gas station later that night. They fixed the car in 2 days time and let us pick it up on off hours, again using the gas station. It was great -- hope not to be in need again, but will definitely go back if I have to.

The most egregious was their claim that our front brake rotors and pads were worn and dangerous. Ironically we had put in new front rotors and pads at our local Lexus dealership two months earlier. The owner said that our air suspension was iffy and that they also needed attention. Because of his claim that we needed front rotors, we knew that this place was a ripoff clown show. We were nervous about the air suspension so we stopped by the dealership. The Service Manager checked and said the air suspension was perfect. I would be extremely wary to bring my vehicle into these grifters. Not only what they told us was abhorrent, but the fact that they put the fear of God into us over their claim of a worn out, pricy air suspension. If they'd do this to us, why wouldn't they do it to you? STAY AWAY!

Within a day of getting my car back, the stabilitrak light was back at it as I was on the highway and when they picked up the car a few hours later he gave me some story about the cars engine having been power washed and the spark plug cover was washed off. Within that same week of getting my car back, I was nearly smashed by an Amazon truck right by estoy 18 on I95Non my way, coincidentally, to the shop to thank them for their work. The stabilitrak light kept flashing, the car started to choke then it stopped moving although it was on. I left the car with them and a few days later he assured me everything was 10000% A-ok. About 2-3 weeks later, the stabilitrak light starts beeping and flickering again. When I reached out yet again, he assured me it was simply a misfire and all was ok. Upon meeting Chris, I explained to him this is what would happen prior to me taking the car to him and the car had left me stranded with my toddler and I needed to be sure the car wouldn't do that again otherwise I'd take the loss rather then invest the near $11GRAND I paid him- not to mention I also paid for new brakes and it has come to light that he didn't even change my brakes at that, which leaves me to wonder what else he did not fix all though I made sure to have my payment in full to him because of his reassurances. I even sent business his way because of how kind he was. I have called and texted several times over the last few weeks and apparently he has blocked me because it goes straight to voicemail and the bubbles went from blue to green. The stabilitrak light continues to light up, and the car begins to "jerk" among a slew of other things. I share all of this to say, it's a hot Sunday, we were trying to celebrate my daughter's birthday and the stabilitrak light pops up, it says to turn off the AC- which isn't even on, and now I'm on the side of the road in a situation I specifically ask he not place me in by being honest and saying he didn't know if he could fix the car- with my child!!!! Poor service/workmanship and port etiquette in customer service don't even cover what this is. Shame on you Chris for speaking so poorly of other mechanics and shop owners about letting their egos get in the way of quality customer service and honesty when you are EXACTLY like them! I chose US-1 Auto due to its proximity to me: it turned to a better choice than I thought. US-1 Auto is a small family owned business which still does work in the time honored way of labor intensive thoroughness with a meticulous attention to detail. With a late model Audi, it not just about repairing a door. The drive systems, safety systems, even the emergency braking are integrated into one AI unit. Essentially the car had to be partially rebuilt. US-1 Auto complete rebuilt the door - right down to it being able to swing completely closed with a single finger push. The paint work is literally flawless even under differing light. They worked with Audi to purchase and install authentic Audi parts and had the systems reprogrammed at an authorized dealer. When this tiny repair shop was done, the car performed BETTER than before. There is something to be said about the "old-fashioned" way of performing a task with exhaustive attention to detail. US-1 Auto understands this and the apply that principle with fervor.

The title was never transferred to me although he had received 100% of the cash for the Canadian MB auto. He also posted that the advanced technology was too difficult for me. However, the truth is-- I purchased the identical model of MB (pre-owned and certified) from an MB dealer and love it. I have been driving it for the past year. The problem started because US 1 Auto sold me a Canadian car built for the Canadian consumer which was paid for in cash. The two MB dealers in my area said that they could not accept any warranties on the car nor fix the recalls. The owners of this place were never honest about anything.
