I have been going to this station for many years, but he won me over bigtime when he fixed our Mercedes Diesel Sprinter Van. My art handler used gas instead of diesel and drove it to Westport. Mercedes of Fairfield said the van was a "total loss." Jean-Louis said that was ridiculous and that he could fix it, which he did! Charged me a complete fair price as well. My van runs great and it has been over a year. I won't go anywhere else. read more

My friend has a problem with her car. They proceeded to pull up the valeting to open the dashboard. They couldn't figure out what was wrong and not only didn't put the car back together but broken part of her seat among other areas. I have had good experiences with this place. Full serve for the price of self serve. Gas station attendants are knowledgeable. They can check your fluids and top you up if needed. Some of the cheapest gas in Greenwich and it's full serve! On the service side, I have done one oil change there. It was fine. read more

Excellent work. Jean Louis Sr is an outstanding mechanic who loves cars and has extensive racing experience with Ferrari. I brought my car in for an annual service. It is a 15 year old vintage mid-engine sports car. He looked over every part, every bolt and set everything back to its original condition. He paid particular attention to tuning the spark plugs. The result was miraculous. What was already an amazing car, was transformed. It was smoother than ever, probably faster than ever. It felt as if it had woken up. Highly recommended. read more

I second the reviewer who noted that the owner (Jean-Louis) was "arrogant and belligerent; he took no responsibility for his mistake... He even went as far to blame me ... couldn't own up to even the possibility of making a simple mistake. He was combative and insulting". I HAD AN IDENTICAL EXPERIENCE. Once could be a bad day. Twice is a pattern. This place is a lemon - and your car will be if you bring it here. My car battery died within walking distance of his shop. I paid $250 for a new battery. A few days later, the new battery he sold me died. New batteries don't die in days. Most shop owners would be embarrassed and offer to help. But Jean-Louis' only response is "It must be your car". Not even the hint of possibility he could've done something wrong. I asked if he'd at least do a diagnostic on it, and charge it, but he was too busy, had some other emergency "at home", and if I'd come back later, maybe his son would handle it. Maybe. But that didn't help me stranded with a dead battery, did it? Of course, I went to a different shop. The diagnostic showed no issues with the car. Alternator? Fine. Starter? Fine. Literally, no codes. This is a BMW with automatic headlights, so it wasn't that I left the lights (or anything else) on. Most likely scenario? He installed it wrong, didn't tighten the nut holding the negative battery wire to the car body. Either that or the battery had sat on his shelf a long time and he had not charged it before installing. Minor issues - if he had taken the time to address them. He didn't. He left me stranded. It's not surprising and it's my own fault for having gone to such a place. One look at the parking let tells you what his focus is: There are a number of old French sports cars, in various states of disrepair, strewn about the lot. He likes to tinker, to do body work on old European junkers, perhaps to resell them for a buck or two more than he paid. But basic repairs? Not his thing. The gentleman below had his car damaged when this shop did an OIL CHANGE. They gave me a (supposedly) brand-new battery that died in days. This isn't an auto repair shop; it's a gas station whose owner is a French car hobbyist. It also is a junkyard that would make Fred G. Sanford proud. The fence around the station adds to the "junkyard" feel. I asked several neighboring businesses for a recommendation of an effective mechanic. In doing so, I described what happened. They said, to a person, some variation of "Wait - you took your car to Jean-Louis' gas station to be REPAIRED! Ay-ay-ay ...what a mistake...everyone knows he is cuckoo!" (Literal quote, "Cuckoo"...lol). If a battery change and oil repair are too much for Jean-Louis to handle properly, I suggest you confine your business there to "fill 'er up". Or, if you aspire to a 1960's or 70's Renault or Peugot junker in need of a total body rebuild, you've found your place. read more

Its a family run business which I believe in supporting and Jean Louis, the owner couldn't be more pleasant, helpful & honest about all the works involved . His prices are unbelievably fair, I'm literally talking half what I would pay at Mercedes Benz dealership. They are currently undergoing major renovation but still managing their business in the most professional way happy to accomodate everyone as much as they possibly can. This is absolutely the worst place - do not go here! I went to get my oil checked, as my engine light came on when I was on the road. I was told I needed oil, so they put in 2 quarts of oil in my car. The next evening, I go to my car to see a huge oil leak! Took it in to the shop and the shop owner told me that I had a blown gasket and a destroyed plug due to an OVERFLOW of 2 QUARTS OF OIL!!!!!! The pressure of the oil in the tank caused the leak! I have receipts to prove this and the invoice from the repair company and LEMANS 24 HUNG UP ON ME WHEN I CALLED TO DISCUSS THIS! This is absolutely the worst customer service I've ever had. All I can recommend to any of you is that you NEVER go HERE! read more

Lied about how long it would take, then stopped repair halfway through without asking me, and when i showed up and complained they held our car hostage until we paid them for the work they'd done AND the work they had to redo since they had stopped early. I went in to get a tire plugged, they let me know I needed some parts replaced asap. Since I do not know much about cars, I am always hesitant but they showed me what they were referring to and it very clearly needed replacing. After the parts were replaced they showed me my the old parts, which looked like they had seen better days. I appreciated them taking the time to show me. I usually feel like I have no clue what is going on with my car so this was a good experience. read more

I have used Le Mans 24 Inc for car repairs and to purchase gasoline often as I believe in supporting local community businesses. My car developed an insidious oil leak and my engine became covered in oil over time. I determined it was due to missing O-Ring gaskets that were not installed when LeMans 24 changed my oil last. When I brought this to the owners attention, his response was arrogant and belligerent. He took no responsibility. He even went as far to blame me for not noticing the problem earlier. I realize that people make mistakes. The LeMans 24 owner couldn't own up to even the possibility of making a simple mistake. He was combative and insulting. I wonder how he would handle a more serious and possibly expensive error on his part. I don't recommend you find out the hard way. Stay clear. If you can't trust them to change your oil correctly, what can you trust them with? read more

Just got gas from this station and they lost my gas cap... The gas pump attendant seemed drunk or high or even both. After a long and sketchy encounter of having my gas pumped the attendant claimed he lost my gas cap and didn't even help me look for my own cap that he had lost! I searched for 30 minutes in the pouring rain, ALONE, for my gas cap that they lost! This gas station is sketchy and seems very scamy, weird vibes all around. The Shell Station right next door is 1,000% better. I would bring your service there for sure. read more

Probably the worst experience filling up a car I've ever had. I was in the way way back, little ones in the middle, wife up front in a rental minivan. Sunny day and we did not roll down the windows (our mistake). After the car was filled the attendant was chatting with the car behind us. It got hotter and hotter in our car. The guy kept talking to the guy behind us, oblivious to our rapidly heating car. We could not start the car b/c we were still attached to the pump. Finally I tapped on the window to get the attendant's attention. He comes up and acts like some Travis Bickle wanna be and asks "Is there a problem"? Of course there was a problem - the rental car was turning into a frigging sauna. Good grief - I will never do business with these jerks again. read more

This place deserves no stars. They are dishonest, and scummy. We got an alternator there that we believed to be new with a warranty, the voltage regulator was faulty, two months later our car would not work. We called them to warranty the part, they then told us the part was rebuilt with no warranty. Do not go here, they are dishonest. AVOID IT. read more
