Had a fantastic two day stay at Lady Anne. The hosts were very accommodating. We texted the hosts that we would arrive at 730 pm. The hosts were present at that time for check in and tour. They said we had only reserved the room for one night when it had been requested for two nights. Thankfully they were able to give a two night stay. It could have been a real problem. The hosts didn't send an confirmation email after the reservation was made. The bed was very comfortable. I think it was the largest room. The bathtub was delicious. Breakfast was pancakes, eggs, fruit, edible flowers and delicious coffee. Our hosts were very entertaining and friendly at check in and at breakfast. I'd definitely stay here again. Just make sure to get an email confirmation.

When you enter, there is a receptionist that greets you... and you walk into a lobby full of comfy furniture, a roaring fireplace and a basket full of blankets. Above the two receptionist sits a bar where you can grab a glass of wine to sit in front of the fire. They also have a tower of fruit for you to grab as a snack. We stayed in one of the regular rooms which I found quite spacious. However, we were on the corner so we had a little extra space. I'm not sure if all the rooms have a fireplace, but ours did which came in handy because it's quite chilly in Eureka. If you're staying for a few days, they have plenty of space in the room to put your clothes. However, the bathroom is very tight. I will say the bed and pillows are very comfortable...I definitely slept very well! The hotel itself is located pretty centrally and easy enough to walk to good restaurants just down the street but if you don't wanna walk, the hotel itself has an amazing restaurant both for breakfast and dinner. I'm honestly not sure about lunch.

After waiting 35 minutes we finally got the soup, with a bad attitude from the waitress. As all the other tables around us were getting their plates we were left sitting there for way too long, the waitresses kept telling that it was the kitchen fault. If it was any other day we would have gotten up and walked out, but it being Valentine's Day we knew we how hard it would be to try to walk in anywhere else. It was so bad they comped our dinners. She knew we were not happy at all, and sent the manager over to talk to us who apologized for how everything had went, saying that they hoped we would give them another chance..... Our first impression wasn't great. The gentleman who checked us in was surprisingly rude. The booking site had listed our teenager as a child instead of an adult, so there was a $10-per-day charge to correct it. That wasn't an issue--we expected to pay the difference--but he made such a big deal about it that it felt uncomfortable, almost as if he assumed we couldn't afford it. It was an odd way to start our stay. One thing I hadn't seen mentioned in other reviews is the location. The hotel is next to several large dispensaries. If that's your thing, it probably won't bother you, but if you're like us and don't enjoy the smell, you'll notice it the moment you step outside or open the window. The room itself was clean and nicely updated. My only complaint was a strange design choice: there was a table placed directly over the air conditioning unit, blocking much of the airflow. We visited in June, and with the warmer temperatures it definitely made it harder to cool the room. On the positive side, the location was convenient for exploring the area and visiting the attractions we had planned. The breakfast also exceeded our expectations. Instead of the typical waffle maker and stale cereal, there were hot options both mornings, including eggs, sausage, potatoes, and plenty of fresh fruit. Overall, I'm not 100% sure I'd stay here again. They have clean rooms, good breakfast, and convenient location. Just be aware of the nearby dispensaries and don't expect the warmest welcome at check-in.

It was fine for one night but I don't know if I would choose the same type room if staying longer. The hotel has some history behind it and can be a little creepy if you decide to walk around at night by yourself. Our room was #16, located on the second floor. The room was a decent size with a sitting area with two chairs and a settee and a small armoire to hang your clothes. The bathroom was small with a walk in shower but the shower pressure was good and the water was warm. No air conditioning but there was an industrial oscillating fan in the room. Unfortunately, I didn't find the bed too comfortable and the headboard creaked a lot but it was ok for just one night. Taylor at the front desk when we checked in was very helpful and informative. We left early, around 8am and they had a complimentary breakfast available for guests consisting of bagels, sweet pastries, fruit, Tillamook cheese and sliced tomatoes and cucumbers which I presume are for the bagels. Cute spread!

It is dark inside and smells "old". Our room was nicely decorated in old Victorian. It was overlooking the corner of 2nd & C right over the Irish pub. Everything was clean and nice inside. Bathroom was small but well stocked with supplies. The issue is more with the area. We took a walk after we arrived through the marina and old town area and concluded that we didn't feel terribly safe. We decided to stay in after dark. There were plenty of homeless and very "sketchy" people walking around talking loudly to themselves, etc. Know the rooms have no air conditioning so the hosts opened a couple of windows facing C street, which we left open all night, hoping that street wouldn't be terribly noisy. Fortunately, the Irish pub below us closes around 9:00, and the Mexican restaurant across the street was the same. By 9:30 or so the street was very quiet with only the occasional car and lone, loud motorcycle around midnight. Also there is no TV in the room, so bring your own entertainment! The WiFi didn't work either. We couldn't find the WiFi the hosts provided on check in. Overall, this area of town is trying to revive and the hosts are trying to bring back this hotel. Just be aware!

My wife, her mom, and I spent two nights here as we explored the various parks (national and state) in the area, and found it to be good place to stay. I made the reservation for two nights via Chase Travel, total of $536.06. Holiday Inn is part of the IHG rewards program (which having a CSR credit card will automatically give Platinum Elite status, though it didn't really provide anything additional worth mentioning). One good thing though is that one will earn nights and points through the IHG rewards program, even if booked through an on-line third party travel agency (which usually doesn't happen). Just need to make sure that your rewards number is listed in the reservation (mine wasn't). Another big benefit is that you get a $250 annual credit if using your CSR for a 2+ night stay at an IHG hotel. It has shuttle service to the airport, and we noticed airline employees taking advantage of it. Surface parking is free, with plenty of spots. We noticed a section where rental bikes were available, for those who wanted to ride at the Hammond Costal Trail. Our two queen room was fine, and it was an accessible, meaning the bathroom and front area were very large. It was a shower/tub combo unit and the water pressure was very strong, best we had on the trip. Shampoo and soap were Dove products, which my MiL really liked. Beds were comfortable, the large flat screen TV had a variety of basic cable channels, and a large work desk with a comfortable office chair. A microwave, coffee maker, and small fridge completed the set-up. The room had a modern thermostat, connected to a Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner, which worked well. The hotel does have an indoor pool, guest laundry room, and 24-hour fitness center. The lobby has two Costa Coffee espresso machines, with freshly ground coffee beans. The breakfast/lobby area is decently sized with a nice complementary breakfast in the morning (opens at 6:30), and a section of to-go items for those that want to get an earlier start. Free freshly popped corn was available throughout the day, which my wife took advantage. We were able to take advantage of the full breakfast on the 2nd morning, and I liked the premade Green Chile Egg Chorizo & Cheddar breakfast burritos available. There was no make your own waffle machine; instead, a 'Go Ahead Pan-cake my day' machine that made pretty decent pancakes ("in a minute flat"...l love puns :-).

It's right by the airport, but it was surprisingly peaceful. I went on a quick walk around the area and it was actually really nice. Walking inside, you're immediately welcomed into a very pretty Holiday Inn Express--it's clean, bright, and just feels good to be in. They had free cookies and popcorn, plus a little complimentary coffee and hot chocolate bar, which after a long day of driving was genuinely appreciated. The woman who checked me in was wonderful--super kind, long gray hair, just a really pleasant person. She even gave me a room with a small balcony view, which was such a nice bonus after being on the road all day. The room itself was clean, modern, and I had zero issues with it. They also offer a complimentary breakfast buffet, which matters more than people admit--there are hotels that cost more than this and don't even offer that. Holiday Inn Express isn't luxurious, and that's not an insult. It's not trying to be. It's clean, comfortable, reliable, and consistently better than you expect. You go in with low expectations and leave thinking, okay, I get why people swear by this. For what it is, it really punches above its weight, and I'm genuinely glad we stayed here. Thanks!
