Cici's Cafe may now be Lady C's, but one thing definitely hasn't changed--the pancakes are still incredible. I've been here before, and I've always thought they had some of the best pancakes around. Their soufflé pancakes, especially, are on another level. I've even had the opportunity to try soufflé pancakes in Tokyo, and they were absolutely amazing. But I have to say, Lady C's can definitely compete at that level--and for me, Lady C's still takes it. That's saying a lot considering how good the ones in Tokyo were. The best part? I don't have to travel thousands of miles to enjoy an incredible soufflé pancake! One thing to know: be prepared to wait. It can easily take 30-45 minutes, especially for certain pancakes. Just be patient. Good food takes time, and here, it's absolutely worth it. This time I decided to skip the soufflé pancakes and ordered the peanut butter banana pancakes instead. I kid you not--these were AMAZING. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, covered with bananas and what felt like half a jar of peanut butter! It was rich, heavy, and definitely not a light breakfast, but somehow everything worked together perfectly. If you love peanut butter and banana, you have to try this. I also had corned beef hash with over-easy eggs on the side, and the whole breakfast just hit the spot. It's been a long time since I've sat down after breakfast and thought, "Man, that was REALLY good." This was one of those meals. And it's not just the food. The service really adds to the experience. The servers have this warm, family-friendly way of taking care of you that almost makes you feel like you're having breakfast in someone's home. They're welcoming and attentive without making things feel rushed. My cup of coffee was never empty. Great coffee btw! The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable too--the kind of place where you can settle in, relax, and really enjoy your breakfast. What made this visit even better was having family from Las Vegas with us. They're foodies and are used to the incredible Vegas food scene, so when they told us the food and their experience here were top-notch, that said a lot. New name, same great experience. I first discovered souffle pancakes while I was honeymooning in Japan back in 2019. Little did I know that a place in Westlake Village - literally across the street from where I used to work! - had souffle pancakes of their own. I've come here 3-4 times now and the food is always fantastic. I recommend coming on a weekday if you can, because on Saturdays and Sundays I've waited over an hour to get a table during peak brunch hours (still worth it though, just plan accordingly). My wife and I usually split a savory breakfast item (usually a benedict or an omelet or something) and then share a souffle pancake. Last time we tried Bannamon and it was divine. We were looking forward to a relaxing breakfast and decided to sit outside, but unfortunately our experience was anything but peaceful. A family nearby brought a loud toy truck for their child that continuously made an extremely high-pitched screeching and beeping noise throughout our meal. It wasn't just us who found it disruptive--several other customers also brought it to the staff's attention. Unfortunately, nothing was done, and it completely took away from what should have been an enjoyable dining experience. Had we known this was the atmosphere we were paying for, we honestly would have gone somewhere like McDonald's instead. The food itself was a mixed experience. My boyfriend ordered the loco moco and really enjoyed it. I had the pancakes, which had great flavor but were a little on the dry side. The sweet potato fries were delicious, although the ranch dipping sauce was surprisingly bland and lacked flavor. My Diet Coke was also flat. It's disappointing because the food had some strong points, but the lack of attention to the dining experience really overshadowed everything else. We understand that restaurants can't control every guest, but when multiple customers express concerns about a major disturbance, we would expect staff to at least attempt to address it. Overall, I'm not sure I can recommend this restaurant based on our experience. Note: I'd also like to mention that the service was inconsistent throughout our visit. We ended up being helped by several different servers, which made it difficult to know who was actually taking care of our table. At one point, we simply wanted to order another drink. Our server told us he would be back shortly to take our order, but he never returned. After waiting for quite some time, we eventually had to walk up to the bar ourselves just to order a drink. My first time here since they changed it to Lady C's. First off, compliments to the chef! Their corned beef hash Benedict was so yummy. Not too salty and not greasy. Everything on my plate was delicious and visually pleasing, since it looked like they plated the food with care. The lemon twist strawberry souffle pancake was also amazing. I loved the hint of jasmine, and I asked for lemon syrup on the side, and a touch of that syrup was perfecto. The staff here are friendly, and the atmosphere was inviting. Finally made it to Lady C's, formally Ceci's.  Wow, 29 page menu..... you can be here a while trying to decide what to get. So many options. We got the Beef Panang Curry with Lava Omelet, a strawberry waffle, a Ceci Benedict and a Green Forest Omelet. Seeing all of the wonderful food arrive at the other tables made us even hungrier. Some of the dishes are just amazing. The fluffy Souffle pancakes, the outrageous French Toast, and the shakes, wow.... Just so many wonderful options. My father loved the Beef Panang curry and Lava omelet. First time he has had a Lava Omelet. Runny egg that mixes in great with the heat and flavor of the Beef Panang. Wish we had some bread to soak up the juices on the plate. My mom really enjoyed the waffle. So many strawberries and inches of whipped cream. The Ceci Benedict was flavorful and cooked well. It looked so good. The Green Forest Omelet was really tasty, good garlic flavor, lots of veggies. And the potatoes were cooked well and just disappeared after I started on them. There is plenty of parking as it shares a parking lot with a few restaurants. Clean bathrooms. Plenty of seating inside and out. There was a generous amount of fresh, sweet fruit and a light dusting of confectioner's sugar. Delicious! Ample accessible parking near the entrance, and while not a large restaurant, it's well laid out and easy to navigate with a wheelchair. The service was prompt and friendly. Some of the menu items -- like soufflé pancakes and Dutch babies -- take a little more time to prepare, but good food is well worth the wait. The service was extremely slow and inattentive. It took forever just to get our coffee, and basic things were overlooked--like not being offered a straw with water. Our food took a very long time to arrive, and when it finally did, it came out in intervals of about 10 minutes. Because we were trying to be polite and wait until everyone had their meals, some of our food ended up getting cold. There were also multiple issues with the food service itself. Syrup wasn't brought out with the pancakes, and even after asking twice, we never received it. The coffee creamer was a big problem--several were spoiled, curdled, and smelled awful when opened. On top of that, the butter and jam dish was a mess, with butter spilled all over and mixed into everything. It was honestly pretty unappetizing. To top it off, an automatic 18% gratuity was added for our large party, which felt frustrating given the low quality of service we received. 4/5 Although the interior is tight and the tables are always full and busy people will still line up. The parking is shared with other vendors, so pick cones to play depending on the day. We parked further along the street from n Ventura Blvd. All food we got was 5/5 and worth it. They have amazing staff, very help and doesn't who is the server they will assist you. They always keep the tables and area clean which is impressive as it is a busy place. The only downside is the 30 page menu. Geeezzz it was hard to select as it is calling you to try everything. It took us awhile to select what we wanted as we go page after page before we decided what we wanted to try. I guess they just as good. I recommend this place for sure. read more

Plenty of food for two people. The scalloped potatoes were terrible! Fresh fruit was nice. Dutch baby was big enough to share with my parents at home. Charging an extra $1 for salsa with a $20+ burrito is absolutely ridiculous. I already paid over $20 for a BURRITO, and somehow salsa is considered an optional upgrade? That's like ordering a $20 salad and being told dressing costs extra. What's next? Extra for the tortilla? A napkin fee? A surcharge to actually wrap the burrito? It's not about the $1--it's the principle. If you're already charging more than $20 for a burrito and still feel the need to nickel-and-dime customers for a tiny cup of salsa, that says a lot about how cheap this place is. Save your money and go somewhere else. There are plenty of restaurants that won't charge premium prices and then squeeze you for another dollar for something as basic as salsa. This was my first time at this location. Not only was the food delish, the staff was kind and on top of it! I got the spicy fried rice with beef, soo good! My mom had the loco moco Benedict and she really enjoyed it. To end the meal we got a soufflé and a soufflé pancake! Came in about an hour before closing on a Wednesday and we're seated right away! I imagine it's very busy on the weekends. The inside is clean and nicely decorated with a decent sized patio. We had the Bankok 101 mimosas and they were good! A sour and sweet mimosa. However it was the food that makes me want to come back asap. Onto the important part now; the food! The menu is extensive and a bit overwhelming honestly. It took me a good minute to figure out what to get. I went with The Airbus which came with eggs, corned beef hash, and I chose the banana berry cream cheese pancakes. Eggs and corned beef were okay but the pancakes....SHEESH! So delicious! And a huge portion of them. My husband got the eggs, chicken apple sausage and itty bitty French toast and he really enjoyed it all. I would definitely say that their sweets are their show stoppers. Everyone can find an option or two to suit their breakfast sweet tooth. The Azteca mocha was so good! Strawberry latte wasn't what I was expecting but it was okay. Food is always incredible every time my girlfriend and I go , but the service is terrible - this last time we had a coffee cup delivered to us with lip stick on it ? I get it mistakes happen but no apology , nothing was done to make it right , there were no words exchanged after I complained , was simply brought another one after I asked what they can do to make it right - delivered in a paper cup in SILENCE. Makes you question their attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness.
