La Cereza Cafe & Bakery is one of those hidden gems that popped up on my feed, so I decided to check it out--and I'm so glad I did. This isn't the trendy, brightly lit coffee shop that's designed for Instagram. Instead, it's a cozy little café where every drink feels like it was made with heart. As a family-owned bakery and coffee shop, they offer a delicious selection of freshly baked pastries, bagels, and cinnamon rolls that make it hard to choose just one. I ordered the vanilla latte with oat milk, and it did not disappoint. Their house-made vanilla syrup gave the latte a rich, creamy flavor that was absolutely delicious. While I was there, Mayra had just pulled a fresh batch of matcha cinnamon rolls out of the oven, and I'm so glad I gave one a try--it was warm, soft, and incredible. Located directly across the street from Basta and Honey Cup, La Cereza is easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. Don't sleep on this little café--you'll leave wondering why you didn't stop in sooner. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]First time here, the location gave a nice local vibe and I was really looking forward to trying this place out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was hoping to add this place to my rotation of local breakfast hangout spots that I patronize. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In the dining room, they were streaming some pulsating hyperpop music laden with heavy explicit lyrics. Totally inappropriate. Not the type of vibe I'm looking for at 7:30 in the morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered the sausage breakfast burrito. The burrito was heavy on the breakfast potatoes, it took up more than half of the burrito. Unfortunately, the potatoes were all undercooked which made them CRUNCHY and unbearably BLAND. The amount of thin breakfast sausage slices inside was small relative to the entirety of the burrito. The scrambled eggs with cheese inside were very good! It came with a small cup of salsa which was excellent, unfortunately the cup was only half filled. It was not nearly enough as the burrito was so bland because of the large amount of undercooked potatoes. I could have easily used two or three cups of salsa to give it taste. I'll be willing to give them a second chance in a few weeks, I'm curious to see if my experience will be better as I am hoping that today was just an aberration. read more

The kids got the cinnamon rolls and devoured them before I had a chance to take my daddy tax. So that tells you how much they liked the cinnamon rolls. My wife got a bagel breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, and spinach, and really enjoyed it. The coffee was tasty and really hit the spot. The staff was really friendly and always smiling. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What really stood out was the patrons. I saw college students, construction workers, and people in suits all coming in here. Some greeted the staff, offering a clue that they were likely regulars. Today we were heading back to Camarillo and wanted a little pick me up caffeinated drink. We got lucky because they were getting ready to close but they asked what we wanted. We ordered 2 Cappuccino with almond milk . Very tasty and great quality and we ordred a blueberry loaf bread. Stumbled upon this lovely little cafe while in Thousand Oaks for an early morning girls' day, and wow what a find! Nestled right next to Tarantula Brewery and across the street from Basta on T.O. BLVD you can't miss this spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the moment we walked in, the vibes were absolutely immaculate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The owner was so kind and instantly made us feel like family. Within five minutes of chatting with her about life, family, prioritizing wellness, and the importance of community, I knew this was going to be a regular stop for me. While I love good food, something I love even more is support good people. They have coffee, teas, speciality drinks, smoothies and then the food ranges from muffins, bagels to burritos and breakfast sandwiches. A large menu for a cozy place. I had the best smoothie I've had in a long time here, it was a mix of raspberry and dragonfruit with a mango juice base. So refreshing, vibrant, and naturally sweet. I'd come back alone just for this sip. Definitely their smoothies are a 10/10. read more

My girlfriends and I with our newborns have been doing a tour of all the local coffee shops around town the last few months. And we really enjoyed this place. The coffee was excellent. I ordered an iced lavender latte, my girlfriends ordered a cappuccino and an iced dirty chai. Everyone loved their order. We didn't try any food but it looked delicious and homemade. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is lacking a bit, feels sterile and cold inside and could use a little help.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside and the patio is large and inviting. Plenty of seat options[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and price was around $6 which is on the lower side compared to other coffee shops which is wonderful. The owner was incredibly kind and sweet to us. She made sure we were comfortable with our babies and had enough shade outside. Would love to visit more and give a non coffee chain more business! read more

Overall I like this place but there was mold on the syrup. As a restauran This is something they should be checking every single day and is not acceptable. Dined on 12/25/25! (Open on Xmas!) Loved dining here, the staff is soooo sweet - family owned. On xmas the drinks were half off which was really nice too. Typically I do not like all the drinks at coffee shops with flavors as they tend to be too sweet but I enjoyed every drink!!! So good. Ordered via food delivery service. Breakfast burrito with bacon, requested no potatoes, as I am not allowed to consume it at this time. Burrito had lots of potatoes which I had to remove and hardly any bacon. Basically used the potatoes to stuff the burrito. Also had a Chai latte. Was good, but most of the cup was the foam, so only just under 3/4 of the drink was actual liquid. My personal experience was pretty mediocre, which saddens me as this seems to be a mom and pop establishment. I hope others have a better experience than I do. read more

They're one of the few coffee shops in the area that serve actual food that isn't pre frozen. I got the egg and cheese croissant and it was so nice to actually get a good portion of egg instead of mainly bread. It was delicious! The coffee was very good too. Talking to Manuel, who is the son of the owners, I found out it's both family owned and family operated. Now that we know about it, we will definitely be back! Highly recommend! read more

Meeting a friend for brunch. Wanted something new in TO (new for me anyway). La Cereza is a small cafe with ample free parking both in front and behind the cafe. Order at the counter and they bring your order out to you. Very small on the inside - only a few tables. We chose to sit at one of the tables on the patio. A limited breakfast menu. I went with a breakfast burrito and coffee. Brought out in a plastic bowl and plastic silverware. Very informal. It was my first breakfast burrito so I can honestly say it was the best breakfast burrito I have ever had! It was also absolutely delish. Very good coffee as well. La Cereza Cafe & Bakery is located in Thousand Oaks, on Thousand Oaks Blvd & Parker Ave. You will see the hanging sign for La Cereza on the corner, not on the building. If you know where Tarantula Hill Brewing Co is, they are in the next building at the lot next to them. It has its own parking lot & street parking. Indoor & Outdoor seating is available. This Family Owned & Operated Biz opened up about 4 months ago. I was helped by Mayra this morning. She was nice, very informative, knowledgeable & mentioned some of their offerings. Breakfast & Lunch Sandwiches are made to order. I was glad to know they also serve Breakfast Burritos & Chilaquiles. I definitely need to try those next time! They have a pastry case that I was eyeing, but wasn't sure what to get. Gives me an excuse to come back. In the display case I saw different bagel options, croissants, cakes & muffins in the case. They offer coffee, tea, hot chocolate and some Grab & Go Drinks available for purchase. I got a simple Latte (extra $.95 charge for Oat Milk & for a pump of SFV), which I probably didn't need. Good temp & smooth foam on top. Since it was National Croissant Day, I had to order a Breakfast Sandwich Croissant. I got the Egg, Spinach & Cheese Croissant. (Croissant was an extra $1.50 charge btw). Croissants for sandwiches seemed ready made, but Sandwiches are Made to Order. The sandwich was warm & I devoured it. Okay I love a family business and I want to support but I had a mixed bag experience and may have to give them another try. The total tab was a shade high. Will leave it at that. The pastry tasted like onion. The sweet pastry. Now they gave me a sub but that also had the onion thing. We ended up being helped by several different servers, which made it difficult to know who was actually taking care of our table. At one point, we simply wanted to order another drink. Our server told us he would be back shortly to take our order, but he never returned. After waiting for quite some time, we eventually had to walk up to the bar ourselves just to order a drink. Between the lack of attentive service and the way the disturbance was handled, the overall experience was disappointing.

My girlfriend and I discovered La Cereza Cafe & Bakery after getting a bit tired of our usual spot at Philz Coffee. We wanted to try something different, and we're so glad we stumbled upon this hidden gem. While the café may be on the cozy side, the warmth of the place is undeniable--both in its atmosphere and from the kind people behind the counter. The smooth, creamy flavor is perfect, and I love that you can choose your own flavor. I'm a big fan of the brown sugar cinnamon. On my second visit, I tried their breakfast burrito, and it was a game-changer. I don't usually have time for breakfast, but this burrito was incredibly delicious and did the trick to stave off my hunger headache. It was exactly what I needed. Ordered a Breakfast Burrito with light potatoes, provalone cheese and an extra EGG. Burrito came with mostly potatoes (fillers), no cheese and no extra egg. Price was not too high for the value of the burrito. Very disappointed in the value of the food. high price and low quality. Breakfast Cafe in Oak Park has a great value for breakfast burrito's.
