Pearl District delivered an outstanding dining experience from beginning to end! Not only was the ambiance inviting and comfortable, every single dish was delicious, making it hard to pick favorites, and it was clear that a lot of care goes into both the flavors and presentation. The beet salad was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. The Brussels sprouts were absolutely incredible and easily some of the best we've had. The salt & pepper shrimp had the perfect balance of savory and sweet, and the quality of the shrimp itself was very high. The braised short ribs were cooked to perfection, and were so tender they practically fell apart with each bite. For dessert, the Wonder bar was a fun surprise and tasted remarkably like a Snickers in the best possible way. The chocolate bread pudding was also a favorite, and the perfect ending to an amazing meal. I found this spot via yelp. From start to finish one of the best meals I've had. What made my experience extra special was having Ella (bartender) serve me. We came here to celebrate a couple family birthdays and we had a great time! Our server was very responsive and friendly. The service was just the right speed for a relaxed dinner - prompt enough that it kept things moving but never felt rushed. We started with some drinks. They have a good mix of cocktails and wine on the menu. Then we got a couple appetizers. We had a couple braised short ribs, ahi tuna crudo, and sourdough bread to share amongst 7 people. For the main course I ordered the branzino. It was delicious! The lemon butter sauce was so good and flavorful, and the potatoes and veggies that were paired with it complimented the fish really well. It had nice crispy skin on it too, which I loved. For dessert, almost all of us ordered the wonder bar. It was a peanut butter caramel shortbread dessert that was pretty unique to most restaurant desserts. It was delicious! They originally sat us in the front of the restaurant, we requested a seat change because we and my wife wanted to sit next to each other instead of across and they opened a section in the back for just us. First time coming here on the new year eve and we had a great time. I did a make a reservation ahead of time and it turned out to be the right decision. We ordered the daily special shrimp cocktail as well as the lobster tempura for the appetizers and grilled salmon as the main dish. The lobster tempura would be my favorite for the night, very flavorful and cooked perfectly. I also like their cocktail selections and I ordered "muddy monk" myself and my parent ordered "wildwood". I like the yuzu flavor of my drink and it's not too sweet. Another thing to note that they have great desserts and excellent services. We enjoyed every bite of the "wonder bar" and it paired perfectly with the dessert wine we ordered. The old fashioned was made well, but the wildwood cocktail really impressed. Had to try the muddy monk which they claimed was a "bartender's drink"; it combines complex ingredients to give an earthy taste. I personally really liked it, but I have varied taste. Darren provided excellent service and was very knowledgeable about the menu and what was seasonal and rotating off at the end of summer. Instead of bringing out all our appetizers at once, he paired them so the flavors would compliment each other and brought 2 out at a time so we could enjoy them slowly. His judgement was spot on and the chef made delicious food with artisanal touches to each plate which made it very elevated and special. I see why this place has been around for so long. Make sure to book a reservation because they are fully booked. They are also pet friendly as I saw two different couples with their dogs dine on the patio. So we got cocktails to start off the meal with bread and butter. I got mezcal and the rim was salted with vietnamese carrot salt - so good. The butter was infused with herbs and something unidentifiable and it was so good. For appetizers we started with shrimp ceviche and crispy shishito pepper. The pairing was delightful and the ceviche had whole shrimp pieces, not diced up into little pieces like you may be accustomed too. Then we got tempura lobster and salt n pepper shrimp. Wow, what a pairing. I've never had lobster like that before and it was so good! We shared short rib ragu and brazino which were both stellar but the brazino definitely was a highlight with the sauce that it came with. By this time we were all pretty full but we wanted to end on a sweet note. We got the wonder bar which tasted like a decadent snickers bar. Every dish we got tasted so good and there were thoughtful touches throughout the meal that made you appreciate the plating or taste or something that caught your attention. Dre is a master behind the bar, and always makes you feel like family if you get the chance to sit with her at the bar. I started off with the Roselle cocktail - it was a perfect balance of citrus, herbs, and sweetness. I highly recommend. I had the seared ahi tuna special with a yuzu sauce as my appetizer. First off, I must tell you that with very little exception, I round my numbers when attributing stars while reviewing on Yelp. Numbers & grades are fuzzy things. Like how can my daughter have a 4.++ GPA? Mathematically there is nothing more than 100%. That said, we've waited all too long to try out Pearl District. Shouldn't have! Pearl District didn't disappoint us in any way. On every measure, Pearl District earned perfect marks!! So 5 these 5 Stars they've clearly earned them. Before I forget to mention, the wine list is well curated with reasonably priced options that truly sing with the dishes coming out so beautifully plated from the kitchen. Food? We three coursed it and shared the whole way through. Their lobster tempura was nothing short of unforgettable. We followed up with two shared entrees. Their 6 hour braised beef (divine) over cavatappi was melt in our mouths succulent and the pasta was like Spicoli inspired, (pardon the pun) ..."TOTALLY TUBULAR!" Then there was the Grilled Eye of the Ribeye cooked to perfection. With the Syrah-Green Peppercorn Demi Glace and the Potato Terrine, the only thing we regretted was not including a third entree with the Grilled Venison! All the way through, our bottle of pinot noir proved to be a perfect companion. So, ends up we were lucky to have not ordered that third entree. An okay place to go break up the monotony of the food scene in WLV, but underwhelming to say the least. Tiny portions for appetizers that cost $16-20, which is expected at this point. Ambiance is minimal but I think that's just my personal taste. Service is good. What really got me though was fact that I went with a group of 10 and we all ordered different things, but I think just about every single dish had a fried component which I find unnecessary and a huge turn off. Pasta had fried shallot. Salad had fried goat cheese. The five spice duck with Chinese pancakes were fried wontons basically and I wouldn't have ordered them if I had known that was going to be the case. This was my first time here and wow, what a gem in our neighborhood! Our server was Christopher who was delightful, knowledgeable and thoughtful! Our dishes and silverware were changed out promptly which I truly appreciate and he created such a wonderful experience for us! Christopher had suggested he bring out each dish slowly which was the perfect way to enjoy our meal. The wine offerings were great and we ordered what was recommended by the sommelier. First we had the bread which was piping hot served with a delicious herb dip. Although the menu was small, it was difficult to choose what to order. But I reckon that anything we ordered would have been excellent. We settled on the ahi crudo which was light and fresh and the filet tartare. Next we had the heart of romaine salad. By the time our main entree came, we were full! We had chosen the sea bass which was a special. Every dish was a culinary experience! Not only was everything tasty, the presentation was impressive. A subdued and unpretentious atmosphere Grilled Octopus appetizer: A++. This was an absolutely delicious dish! The octopus was tender, the two sauces were mind-blowing, and the potatoes were crunchy and slightly smokey. It was well balanced and truly a delight for my palate.It's definitely large enough to be a meal. Heirloom Tomato Stack salad: A++. Looked like a fun party and tasted like it. I have been wanting to eat here for a long time. When my family asked me where I wanted to go for my birthday tonight, I said "Pearl District!" WOW! It was everything I imagined! There were five of us and some of the items aren't pictured below. We ordered a lot of food and shared it. The appetizer section is my favorite. We got the Braised Short Ribs, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, Lobster Tempura, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Fried Chicken, Six Hour Braised Beef, and Spring Black Pepper Gnudi. Everything was magical. Our server was amazing, the food was amazing, and wow! The bread and rosemary butter was to die for! For dessert, we shared the Wonder Bar, Cobbler, and Salted Creme Caramel. I celebrated my father's retirement here! I made reservations for a party of 12 the week prior without any difficulty. The ambiance was very nice. Nice casual, elegant, but comfortable. Our server was amazing. He was vigilant, kept our whole party happy, and had great recommendations. We ordered almost every appetizer (fresh baked sourdough, braised short ribs, salt and pepper shrimp, lobster tempura, crispy shishito peppers, filet mignon tartare, oysters, and pan roasted wild mushrooms) and they came out promptly. It's hard to pick a favorite but the sourdough bread and the braised shortrib were outstanding (everything else was amazing too). It was hard to keep track of everyone's orders but a few highlights that were delicious: hearts of romaine salad, grilled prime 8oz filet mignon, and beef short rib sugo ragout. After many recommendations to try their food, I finally made it. And it was worth the wait. The food here was absolutely delicious. They have bread available on request - request it. You'll get a thick loaf of fresh-baked bread with that crisp on the outside but soft on the inside. The house made butter that comes with it is just the icing on the cake. The lobster tempura is the perfect appetizer to start with. It's positively stuffed with fresh fish, and the sauce is creamy and pulls the dish together. The sea bass was soft and moist with great flavor. Sea bass is my favorite fish, and this one is definitely at the top of my list. For dessert, the sweet chocolate bread pudding was the perfect ending, and the raspberry sauce really elevated it. Drinks here are also great. I wish I could remember the name - I believe it was called the Lovejoy. One of the smoothest tequila-based drinks I've had in quite a while. Absolutely delicious. The restaurant is super lively, and you can sit either at the bar or in the restaurant. Would be a fun place for either a date or to go as a party. Service is top notch - staff was super nice and knowledgeable. Pearl District is pricier, but I've been to restaurants that are at the same level with pricier food of lesser quality.
