They towed my car at 3:30am and when I picked it up at 11:30am the exhaust tip was missing from my car, along with the clamps and the turbos boosters that came with it. A very rude, hostile organization who refuse to abide by accepted business practices. Before my car was off the ground I went out to confront the tow truck operator stating I would pay the drop fee as I had legal reason to park there but my pass was obscured. However, he refused to drop my car and drove off with it. If your operator is mentally incapable of holding a simple conversation they should not be employed there. This place is barely legal, if that. Tow impound looks straight out of GTA, and employees don't get friendly when cops come around. They'll tow any day/time and charge extra claiming it's "out of business hours" (while their business was operating to tow in the first place). Hidden fees everywhere, only under the table cash allowed, and only business done in what looks like a back-alley building. They towed my car in a parking lot of an apartment that I live in . And then didn't notify anyone, not even the apartment. Lo and behold my surprise my car was not there at 3pm, thought my car was stolen cause "I'm allowed to park here, why would they tow me?" Nope, turns out they're just idiots. Called at 3:30pm, got informed that I had 30 minutes to find a ride, atm; and get there or else I'd have to schedule an appointment and pay another 30$ storage fee and a 65$ "after hours payment" l. Couldn't make it, oh well. Called around 3:45pm, booked an appointment for the next day at 11:30am. Fun fact, they can't charge more than 85$ starting rate in west Lafayette, but they charge 125$ because they mark themselves as a car restoration area. So, paid in cash (that's all they offer because they're a sketchy business) turns out they charged me for Dollie's? For what? So yeah paid 270$ for my car being in their lot for not even 24 hours. Whoever I spoke to on the phone was rude and said "well you're stupid for parking there" after I said I lived there. Hm, not a very professional business I'd say. I wasn't gonna write this because this company is known for retaliation, but I'm moving out tomorrow so f it. Also, they only scope out one or two parking lots a month so they're not consistent and always catch u off guard (I've been parking in my parking lot for 6 months), but whatever it takes to keep the lights on and the gas in their shit trucks I guess! Asshole drivers towing me from my own property and threatening to take my bike that is on my porch. Repeatedly drive by our place at all hours of the day looking for cars to tow. It's really frustrating hearing their loud truck EVERY DAMN DAY at 3am and being nervous they might tow me again (even though I have a pass displayed). Don't know how this is legal. You can bribe them for $80 (cash only so there is no evidence) to not take your car. Hope they get what's coming to them. They also charge more than the legal west Lafayette limit ($85) for towing by claiming they use special equipment when they use nothing but the bare minimum towing equipment. Also charge more than the minimum for storage but there's not much you can do to talk sense to these POS scumbags with their combined IQ of 53. read more

This place is a sorry excuse for a business. If I could give zero stars, I would. I got my car towed, and at the time that it was towed, my front bumper was intact and attached just fine. They failed to exercise due care to my car while in their procession, as any towing business SHOULD DO. When I picked up my car 3 hours later my front bumper was hanging off one side! After bringing it to their attention, respectfully, hoping to work something out, the owner stated "the damage was there before, I will not be responsible for repairs." Another employee stated "no offense but the car looks like it's been through the wringer." To that I responded well I'll be reporting this to the police, filing a insurance claim, and reporting you to the BBB, he responded "you do what you need to do, I will not being paying for any damage." Avoid this place at all costs, and read other reviews, it's no coincidence they only have 1.5 stars. This place is a joke. My grandson is a student at Purdue. On Friday his truck was towed from J.R enterprise. Because of the Purdue game on Friday the parking area that he normally parks at was blocked off. So he parked at A B permits instead of C permit parking. Yes that was a wrong choose that he had made. He goes to class from 9;30 until 4;30 on Fridays. He walked to where he had parked after his classes only to find his truck was gone. After several calls to try and locate it he finally found out where it was at, it was then after 5;00 pm. It cost him 235.00 to get it out because it was after hours. After we paid them they told us they were headed back to Purdue to see who else they could upset. So sad that they have no compassion and its all about money. read more

This place makes no sense. First of all it is not primarily a tow company. Second of all they towed our car after closing time for the business. We called three separate times. Letting them know we were on our way as well. We get here and call again and was given a sigh and attitude saying "fine someone will be there in 30 minutes" even though we called ahead of time. There is no front door and only an office door where the tow truck driver has to let you in. Incredibly expensive if after hours, even though the car was towed after hours in the first place, and we need the car so he can drive to school before they open tomorrow and he is a teacher. I realize that no tow company is gonna get great reviews but this was just insanely ridiculous. Our car got towed MISTAKENLY while we were parked at our own apartment complex... It was completely the towing company's fault. Getting your car towed is never a fun situation, but the guy who we talked to on the phone made things so much worse. We are from out of town and had no way to get to the impound lot to get our car. He was not willing to work with us or help us at all. He basically told us to figure it out ourselves even though it was not our fault by any means and we literally had no way to get there aside from making our family drive hours to pick us up. Unsurprisingly, that man was just as unpleasant to deal with in real life as he was over the phone. He sucks and his business sucks too. These guys towed our car on a Friday night, from our reserved spot! They didn't even check to see our permit clearly displayed on the windshield. They just said they didn't recognize the car so they towed it, leaving us stranded for over an hour. No apology, nothing, poor business practice. This establishment provided the most unprofessional experience and service I've ever received! Although they have a card reader, and a sign displaying the different varieties of cards that they accept, they refused anything other than cash transactions, and do not provide an ATM. When I mentioned that this information was not provided on the phone when I spoke with them, the gentleman called me a liar, and began to yell at me. He threatened not to return my car to me, because I said his disrespectful attitude was unprofessional and followed me out while I left yelling. My daughter, who is a student at Purdue, with a Purdue parking pass, was towed while parked on campus. After a 25 minute walk to get her bike and a 30 minute bike ride, she finds out it's cash only and they do not provide an atm. Fortunate for her they also charged her the $30 a day storage fee when her car was there for no more than 3 hours. This company preys on young, vulnerable college students then makes them pay a small fortune (cash only, of course) to release their vehicle. I'm appalled they towed in the first place being that she has a parking pass and was parked on campus. This is definitely a company owned by someone who has no compassion for anyone that's not lining his or her pockets. A 1 star review is being generous, wish I could give it a negative 5. read more

One of the employees said we can talk to the owner on Monday in hopes to reduce the fee but failed to mention that I would be charged $20 per day for storage. Tow truck guy was very rude. Never had issues in our neighborhood before, it was five minutes before curfew and he comes up and latches onto my friend's car. (we live in an HOA type neighborhood with parking rules) I understand we were in violation, but he didn't have to be so nasty. I asked if they accepted card because I had virtually no cash on me, to which he rudely responded and demanded money or he was leaving. After my friend and I finally scrounged up some cash, he literally ripped it out of our hands, not even giving us a chance to hand it over to him ourselves. Never had anyone attempt to tow my car before and never had an experience like this before, but I feel sorry for anyone that runs into this company. God I wish I could give a zero star review. I am a worker on Chauncey hill and I currently work third shift for all of the drunk children. I parked my car in an apartment complex that had a deal with my company to let employees park there whenever the Chauncey parking lots were full. I came back to my car after my shift and saw it was gone. Immediately assumed it was stolen so I called the police and they explained that it was towed. So of course I called this god forsaken lazy company to get my car back. Lady on the phone was very very rude and even after explaining our issue with the towing she refused to wave any fee. EVEN THOUGH AS AN EMPLOYEE I WAS ALLOWED TO PARK THERE. She then proceeded to tell me it was $185. Like for what though lol? Like you towed my car 4 miles and you're going to up charge me like an extra $100? I don't comprehend where you're getting your prices Jr? Anyway so I walked 20 minutes home in 35 degree weather at 5 in the morning after a long night shift. I get home and call them back and ask when I can set up an appointment to get my car back and pay the stupid fee. So I had an appointment for 10 am. I get there at 9:50 and call because the doors were locked. Lady said they were on their way and would be there around 10:30. Like oh I'm sorry so why did I set an appointment for 10 am and would have to wait 30 mins for y'all to show up just to rob me of my joys and money. so like 15 mins late they roll up, old people mind you, NOT WEARING A MASK IN A PANDEMIC. YIKES. So I then tell the guy my information to get my car and ask for a paper of everything I had to pay for. Because once again $185=no sense. Turns out they were closed today and the lady on the phone regretted to tell me there'd be a $45 extra charge to just get it out today. Okay but why're you closed on a Saturday? Do you predator tow on Fridays just to screw people over on money? And the funny thing is that if I would've waited till the day they opened on Monday, they would've charged me an extra $60 just for keeping it in the impound. This whole company is a scam. If they actually would price right it would be cool concerning a 4 mile drive shouldn't be $185. Worst customer service I have ever experienced! I don't think I have ever come across a such a rude and heartless person in my life. My friend was in a small accident that totaled her car around 5:45. She was taken in an ambulance to the hospital and was unable to grab her backpack(which had medication in it). She also noticed after the accident that the diamond from her engagement ring had popped out and she thought it might still be in the car. Once she was released from the hospital with no injuries fortunately, she called J.R. Enterprise to try and get her backpack and try to look for the diamond. The response she got back was that they closed at 5 (even though she was in an accident at 5:45), but if she paid $45 she could come in a 30 min window to grab her backpack. The attitude was unacceptable and the charge for something that wasn't her fault was ridiculous. But it gets worse... Once we arrived at J.R. Enterprise a very rude employee led us very unwillingly to the car without saying a word to us(literally he did not speak to us). Once we got to the car my friend was looking for her backpack and we also tried to glance around for the ring since she was very upset about losing it as most people would. The employee's response was "you can only grab the backpack, I don't have time for you to look for SOME diamond" I might add that the employee was on duty(since they are open 24 hours for towing) so it wasn't like we were preventing him from going home to his family. He had no compassionate what so ever. My friend was obviously upset about the accident and the ring and you can't give her 5 minutes to look for her ring? I hope he has no daughters or a wife because I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have wanted them treated that way. I wish I could give 0 stars.
