Had LaGreen's rebuild a mailbox and repair other brickwork around my home. I gave him my deposit and expected it to be done within the next week or so. Weeks went by and I hadn't heard a word. I called the office and was told that it was because of the intermittent rain. The funny thing was that the bricklayers who were building my new home weren't having any trouble laying bricks everyday. After a couple more weeks (I believe 6 or 7 total), I finally called to get either get them out here or get my deposit back. The gal in the office said she'd have Mr. LaGreen give me a call back. The next day Mr. LaGreen has a crew out to build my mailbox. It was still a couple of days before they got to the other work. In their favor - the mailbox is beautiful! However, they didn't even come close to matching the mortar when they repaired the other items, and it stands out/contrasts badly. We even spoke about the mortar color at the time of hiring because I was selling this home and wanted it to look good for the new buyers. I wouldn't use them again to repair existing work. read more

LaGreen's Masonary just completed our new mailbox and we think it looks better than we ever could have imagined. It was not an easy build since we wanted a custom top on it and we wanted it built with stone instead of brick. A further complication was that we hired a seperate company to pour a slab where the mailbox was constructed. The concrete slab allows the mail delivery person to pull off the street to place mail in the box and pull straight ahead to deliver mail to the next home. By constructing the mailbox off of the street we can get our mail without placing ourself next to oncoming traffic. Both Mr. and Mrs. LaGreen were extreemly friendly and professional as were their employees who extended the steps on our patio in addition to building our mailbox. STAY AWAY, very unprofessional! The only reason I contracted with this company is because of property damage done to a brick mailbox on another property that I couldn't cover under insurance. The homeowner contract their preferred masonry company so they would be comfortable with the repairs. My experience with Lagreen's was horrible and I only hope the homeowner was satisfied with the work performed. First: The homeowner requested Lagreen's to come inspect the area first, then provide an estimate. Lagreen's provided the estimate, then required that I pay half as a deposit to contract the work. I paid and authorized the work to begin based on the initial estimate of work that was for right at $780. Then three weeks later, after the homeowner called back did they finally inspect the area and added into the estimate an extra $250 for a planter box that was part of the mailbox not included in the original estimate because they didn't go inspect the work site FIRST! What contractor provides a written estimate without seeing the job site? Second: After the work was done, they sent me a text with a photo of the finished area. Then within a couple hours of the text, they started calling me wanting to pick up a check for the balance of the work. I worked late so I didn't get a chance to call them back. This is in reply to 'no reputable contracting business asking for half down'. ALL contracting is half down, always has been, always will. I owned and operated a masonry business for 20 years. In my experience, those who will not at least buy the materials FOR THEIR OWN JOB, never intended to pay anyway. Any "reputable" customer will gladly give half down for a job done on their property. If a customer is worried, they should research the company, before hiring them. Even a subcontractor who is working for builder, gets the materials bought buy the builder up front. So I started off just wanting to build a brick fireplace in my backyard. But Mr LaGreen gave me great vision on what I could do. We ended up building an entire outdoor kitchen , patio , outdoor TVs & beautiful walkway. Not only did the team do amazing brick work but the design aspect was way more than what I even originally thought. The guys were friendly , timely & most of all they cleaned up after themselves. My family & I now are enjoying the beauty of outdoor living. Great work & price. Just nice people. Which is refreshing in the Gomes that we are living in. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Be prepared to have Mr. LaGreen himself come to your house and be extremely pushy. He would not leave my driveway until I gave in and made a deposit for the project. I wanted to call a few other companies but he was so pushy and made me extremely uncomfortable with his unethical sales tactics. Be prepared for him to try and oversell you by telling you other parts of your house need to be repaired also. He clearly has zero customer service skills. When I asked what the timeline looked like he quoted me 3 weeks. It took about 2+ months for the work to be completed and I had to call at least once a week to "remind" them that I had paid the deposit (which is half of the full price quoted). It took a very angry phone call to get confirmation that my project was next. After completion they called me upwards of 4 times a day and sent emails within the first 3 days. OBVIOUSLY I know I owe the money. Be prepared for Mr. LaGreen and his wife June (the CFO) to email and call continuously if you do not pay immediately after when they do not complete work or communicate in a timely manner. This is the biggest joke of a company and I completely regret using them. The decent work was not worth the stress of dealing with everything involved. And to add insult to injury, I was told that the bricks would almost exactly match the bricks on our house and it looks like they just took the bottom of the barrel bricks they had laying around and threw them up. NOTE: This review is not regarding work performed, but for initial call, visit and quote. Essentially, a call was placed for repair work to brick around home. Good reviews online, so I asked for them to visit for an estimate. An appointment was made for the following week to have them come out and review work to be done and give an estimate. They showed up three days early, on a weekend while enjoying time off with my family. SO I had to stop doing that to accommodate the people who I may hire. First fail. Come when expected, or call. After work to be done was reviewed, this provider had the audacity to request hundreds of dollars as a "deposit" for work yet to be performed. I don't brag about what I have, because I work hard for it. I have a $400,000 home....in a respected area...I'm not going to give anyone a deposit on repair work....are you kidding me. NO respectable and licensed/insured contractor would ever ask for this. In my mind he was already fired...but I let him do his thing and I then asked if they could provide a written estimate, and then how long it would take to get started. He proceeded to show me names addresses and phone numbers of clients he had work orders on, telling me "these people have already paid this amount". Excuse me...I should have told your people before you came out...high pressure sales does not work on me. Also, the fact that you showed me all your clients addresses and other information tells me you are willy nilly with peoples information. Trustworthy companies place liens if they are not paid....and If your work sucks, I do charge backs and get my money returned. Welcome to America....land of the customer. Anyways, I was told his wife would email me the estimate and what not.....lol....never heard back. STAY AWAY from this high pressure sales company. I am glad that people possibly had good work done by this company, but no way in hell am I paying before work is done. That's not how we do things in the real world. FIRED. read more
