My husband and I love going to Laguna Del Sol, it's our lil get away from home! Just to start the tour was done so welcoming, the first day of our tour we dry camped. This was around summer so the weather was perfect. The pools and amenities are walking distance, kept very clean. We've also stayed at the hotel aka the White House a few times. Where we just spend all day in the indoor pool or getting some direct sun from the patio with a beautiful view.

Was a beautiful Memorial Day Monday morning until someone started mowing and waking everyone up that was still sleeping at 9 after a late fun evening. This is where a lot of us come for peace and quiet. So it's obvious management still has a lot to learn to take better care of there (Gold) members ‍

My yummy Mudslide--they can make Virgin Mudslides, too

OK, if you like to run around naked (like me)-- Laguna del Sol may be a great place to hang out! If you want to spend the night, there are lots of options to choose from, however, reservations in advance are really important!!! You can bring your own RV, and take advantage of hooking up to water and electricity. If you become a member at LDS, you can have your RV stored there, and pulled out before you arrive. All of rental units that LDS had to rent for this weekend were sold out a week ago. We tried several times during the week to see if there were any cancelations. There weren't, and we really wanted to hang out with our friends (who had fortunately called in earlier for reservations and got them). We were desperate for a place to stay at LDS, so we decided on what was available--dry camping. We pulled out our two person tent stored in our garage, and dusted it off. Then we made a list of what we needed to take with us. We didn't need much clothing--since clothing isn't encouraged, and the forecast said it was going to be hotter than hell. We filled a large cooler with foods that were quick and easy. We used one of the gas grills at LDS to cook steak, and corn on the cob, and also another meal we used the grill to BBQ our precooked short ribs. We decided to not get food from the restaurant because our friends ate breakfast there the week before and they weren't impressed with what they got. Tip: if you are leaving from the Bay Area on a Friday during the busy season, leave before 10 am. Recently, we left on a Friday at around 12:20 pm, and got stuck in a huge slow down in what seemed like middle of nowhere. Actually, it was a 4 way stop sign. The next time, we left the Bay Area on Friday around 10 am, and that 4 way stop sign was easy smeazy. Tip: look at the weather forecast, and if the heat is going to be really high (in the hundreds) I highly recommend not to do dry camping (dud). Even though I hung out most of the time in the swimming pool, the next day, I was totally exhausted. I just wanted to sleep (and we didn't have an air-conditioned room to sleep in). There are lots of things to do at LDS while being in the buff including hiking, swimming, tennis, pickleball, horse shoes , water volley ball, dancing and archery. There is lots of animals to be seen and heard. This last weekend we could hear the coyotes howling in the distance. There are snakes, and when we were hiking last summer, my friend had a close call with a rattlesnake (just watch where you walk and or sit in nature). BTW, you aren't allowed to take photos at LDS (for privacy reasons). So, I highly recommend going to Laguna del Sol if you like being in nature with no clothes. We look forward to our next visit.

So who, and in which parts of the premises exactly, makes you feel accepted if you opt to wear clothing? Clothing-optimal is a way, THE way, to ease into your own comfort being a nudist. They would not answer the question.

In all honesty, EVERYONE AT THE RESORT IS ON THE SAME PLAYING FIELD! The key is having the ability to separate the action of sex from the nudity of nature. Just because one is naked doesn't mean the should be solicited or approached in that…

How much is the entry fee?

The day-use fee for non-members is $33 per person. This is the same whether you're staying in one of their rooms/cottages, or whether you are a guest of someone else.

If you are camping how much do they charge on top of the $32 dollars eachç?

If you have a trailer or RV and want electric and water, it's $16/night; $23/night for full hookups.

Wow just a very clean and love the plants, which there was more since it's a garden inn. The staff was very pleasant to talk to, I was bored in around 5 am and the guy in the lobby add coffee was talkative so we chatted. lol. So before I get into the room info, I was afraid of staying here was gonna be noisy, due to the fact of they put us next to the elevator, (lol) and there was a soccer event going on, (and did I mention it's all kid's soccer) , so hotel was sold out with kids everywhere. And I have to admit I heard no noise from the elevator, and nothing at night. However about 7to 8 am , we did hear some running but it was muffled Our room was very nice. You walk in to the tv rooom area , bathroom to your left, and as you walk in more you'll see the mini kitchen and mini fridge. This room as its own ac/heater unit separate from the bedroom. Just fyi. There is a sofa and single chair , both very comfortable for a big guy like me. Walking into the bedroom , beautiful big room, with a good size bed, King of course, tv on dresser, and 2 bathroom with shower and separate bathtub.

But with that, Elk Grove is a good-hotel desert. Seemingly, the competitor hotels are old and outdated, and this one is rather new and updated. Right off the highway, it's located pretty central to everything. The complimentary breakfast was regular. They did have DIY waffles. There is a small, not heated outdoor pool. The rooms were fine, the beds comfy. There was a small, but decent gym. The front staff were nice. Overall, a fine hotel and rating depending on price. $200ish - great. $300ish for Elk grove - overpriced. Do what you will!

The ambiance in the front lobby is very chill, clean, and the staff are nice. The hotel rooms look like studio apartments with the fridge, kitchen, dishwasher, provided utensils, desk, etc. I do feel like some of the hotel rooms that I've stayed in here could have been much cleaner. Also, the trash cans in the bathroom and in the room do not have bags in them, which makes some people throw trash that will touch the trash cans. The last time that I stayed here, the kitchen sponge to wash the dishes were previously used, and the paper towel roll in the kitchen was all dirty. For breakfast in the mornings, they are alright. The eggs and sausage were a bit cold, I definitely feel like they can put the breakfast in food trays that can keep them warm. I do recommend coming here and trying the place out and see if you like it. My first few visits here were good, but my recent visit here was alright. There are some hotel rooms here that look more modern and more clean, like having a spacious shower with glass doors. On my most recent visit here, I had a bathtub shower with shower curtains; so it depends on which hotel room you book!

We came back to our hotel night, one to a room that had not been cleaned at all and when I called down and asked why the lady asked if we had requested it and I said no we are not from here so we did not know to ask because where we are from it's standard cleaning every night. She said she would put us on the list. The next day housekeeping came, but we were still in the room and I told her about 10 minutes and she said she would come back at lunchtime, we came back eight hours later to again another clean room and only the bathroom had been done. I called down again and asked why and she said well. Did you specify that you wanted a full cleaning... What am I even paying for? So on our very last night, we got the room cleaned. This was not told to us at check-in nor did we see anywhere, but it was posted that you had to call and ask for rooms to be clean. We were a family of five staying in one room and requested an extra blanket, which they did not have any and gave us top of the comforter, which was weird. They also had no towels down at the pool area as well as ran out of bathroom towels. The beds were very uncomfortable, definitely would not book here again
