The beds are comfortable and there is a coffee maker and refrigerator with bottled water. Unfortunately I didn't realize till the last day that bottled water is needed to make coffee. I was blaming the brand of coffee . The food was good both at the restaurant and the large banquet. The quesadilla with sautéed mushrooms was great. I was able to order through the bar and sit outside. The staff was patient with a lot of retired teachers running, well maybe walking slowly, and asking questions. There is a coffee shop next door. The gift shop has bottled ice coffee $7 and sodas but no diet. Hyatt - PLEASE turn down the air conditioning.

The staff is very friendly and eager to please, the restaurants are also pretty solid and put out good food and their store and gym are very good with a surprising amount of options. I will admit there's some hiccups; having a hotel gym off hotel property is weird, their restaurants and stores are Very expensive even taking into account you're paying more in a hotel, and I wish the showers had better pressure. Plus this is another hotel that will let you opt out of housekeeping - and if they forget to mention that you're going to be in for a nasty surprise. Still it's a good hotel for the money and the location with good people working in it. Would definitely recommend.

I was greeted by helpful staff and started exploring the lobby and the amenities, it was my first time in Sacramento, as well as my first time Meeting & Greeting a young lady I had met Online ‍‍ We weren't meeting up for a few more hours so I decided to explore the area for things to keep us busy, mind you it's Memorial Day Weekend The staff at the Embassy asked what brought me there and so I told them about how we met and what got us to this point. The staff saw I was a bit nervous/anxious and immediately without my knowledge, jumped into "Action". I asked about having flowers delivered.... Then they gave me recommendations for attractions and events for the holiday weekend "Do you have any dinner reservations we can help with"....these were some of the suggestions and questions I got ‍‍‍ After exploring, I came back to see if my room was ready, and I had been upgraded to a Suite, which had a view overlooking the River Then she arrives ‍‍ And I head to the lobby to greet her, she asked to see my room, so we went back up & upon arrival...the flowers I had ordered were in front of my door she was so surprised and I totally wasn't expecting that delivery by the staff I showed her the room and the view then we went horseback riding. We got back around 730-8pm the staff had changed but all knew this was a special weekend, because once we got back to the room we had an even bigger surprise.... The atrium was fun for the kids to see their friends and the breakfast was wonderful! The hardest part for me was waking up to a pretty serious water leak above my bed dripping consistently on the pillow next to me. I immediately called the front desk and the person I spoke with didn't seem concerned at all and said the engineer wasn't in until 7am. My daughter was sleeping soundly, but having a steady flow of water dripping on my bed meant I was up at 4:45am with a third full day of education ahead of me. Literally nothing was done to improve the situation and I just hope and pray the leak was fixed before they put anyone else in the room. It would have been nice to offer SOMETHING to make things right. Don't stay in room 420 or at least ask if the water leak has been fixed!

With our discoverist status, we got waters and an upgrade to a 2 queen suite that comes with a kitchenette. I love having a kitchen even though I know dam well I'm not going to use it LOL. It's just nice knowing it's there. All the silverware, cookware, and cups were pristine. Room was clean and cute. The only issue was the bathroom door was a little difficult to open from the inside. This was purely a design issue. Complimentary breakfast is at the Star Lounge and was great. Hot foods and traditional breakfast, yogurt, cereal, and a nice toaster with a whole tray of different breads and bagel. The woman that was manning the breakfast station was awesome (short blonde hair). I always noticed her helping out guests with something and had a good hospitality radar (to anticipate needs). Would definitely come back. Valet: $40/day with in & out privileges

This building is pretty! There are 8 stories. The rooms are apartment-like and some are suites. My 1-king bedroom on the fourth floor had a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and comfy couch. The bed was soo comfortable. The blankets were warm. This room faced 28th Street. My issue with this hotel was that the guy at check in barely said anything to us. He didn't explain breakfast hours, where the elevators were, or welcome us as status-holders. This was the first time in a while I've had such an experience at a Hyatt property. Parking: valet only, $40. I found an uncovered parking lot on 28th that was $10 for overnight. The valet attendant is directly in front of the hotel. Breakfast: M-F 6:30A-9A, S-S 7A-10A on 3rd floor. This is a gorgeous and up-scale hotel with lovely amenities. Parking was very easy. You have the option to valet or self-park in the underground garage. The elevator from the garage leads you directly into the beautiful, modern, and clean lobby. There is an abundance of lounge seating available and a very nice coffee/hot cocoa bar. In the coffee bar, there were syrups and toppings available for use which made it feel much more luxurious. The room was great too. We booked the Premium King Room with the Golden One Center view. The room was spacious and clean. It did not feel cramped or crowded. The bed was comfortable and was furnished with many pillows. The hotel offers almost any bathroom amenities that you can think of if you forgot them. The mini bar is fully loaded, but pricey as expected. I was unfortunately disappointed with the view though. We were placed on the sixth floor and could hardly see the Golden One Center. The window overlooked just the roof of the stadium. We could not see the plaza, city, or much of the stadium at all. If you crane your neck to the sides, you can barely see the Tower Bridge and the State Capitol. We also had some trouble with the AC in the room. It was working early in the night, but despite being set to 65, the heater seemed to have kicked on. It got very hot in the room, and then got very cold on its own even later. Despite this, I would definitely stay at the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel again, just without paying extra for a "view."

I woke up with 2 very sore fingers on my right hand. I reported to desk (only 1 staff working solo). She did give me an ice pack and a wrap. She did apologize. She asked me what she could do. That's odd to me, I've been in customer service over 45 years, I never asked a customer "what can I do?" for bad service or experience s...just make it better. I told her have someone go remove the nightstand so the next guest doesn't get injured. I went back to room to record how severely unbalanced the table was. A HK Supv (Myneli) was very kind but also unsure came by, I told her take it out PLEASE. It's a handicap room to make it easier for those of us with disabilities, not to make it unsafe or uncomfortable! She removed it as I requested. The front desk agent, said she was going to make an incident report and a manager would contact me, I never heard from anyone. That was 5 days ago. The front desk agent said she would put some points on my honors account, never happened. I also reported that I left my breakfast passes on the same dresser I placed the tip (not 2gether) the tip and passes were gone. The front desk did replace them, thank you. I also chose this location because it had an outside hot tub near the pool but was disappointed to see CAUTION tape like a crime scene. No access. PLEASE update repairs so we have accurate info when booking! I opted for a hot bath (dirty tub, I had to clean. See photos) There was also long hairs on the soap & shampoo bottles. I always travel with clorox wipes BUT why do we have to spend so much money and still have to sanitize a room? I still leave a cash tip daily because im sure they work hard & are most likely low wages. It's the right thing to do. Lastly the decor in the room was off. Only 2 small pictures and no full length mirror nor suitcase stand. I reactivated my Marriot account, I don't know if I will continue on with Hilton.... Update Manager? Luis Robles gave "stock" reply in Trip adviser...wow Hey Luis, you should ACTUALLY READ the reviews, some things require sincere attention not "copy & paste" reply....

The tall ceilings and quiet rooms--thanks to excellent insulation--made the stay very comfortable. I also liked the different water options available near the front desk, especially since the bottled water in the rooms cost $10 each. The music in the pool area created a great atmosphere, and the jacuzzi was a nice size and very enjoyable. However, the main issue was the mandatory valet fee--even when not using valet service. This makes no sense and feels unreasonable. If arriving by Uber or not bringing a car, there is no justification for being charged valet. The website does not clearly state that valet is mandatory, and there was no prior notice when booking. At check-in, staff simply said, "We have to charge it anyway," regardless of whether the service was used. The fee is also quite high at $52 per night, which adds up quickly for a service not utilized. According to previous reviews, valet fees have increased significantly over the past three years. I would not stay at this Westin Hotels & Resorts location again. The accumulation of mandatory fees makes the experience feel transactional rather than guest-focused. I would much rather voluntarily tip valet staff when I actually use and appreciate their service, rather than be required to pay a substantial fee regardless of need. Overall, while the hotel has many appealing qualities, the mandatory valet charge without clear disclosure or usage was a major drawback.
