We've been coming to Laguna Healing Massage individually for the last few years, but we recently decided to book a 90-minute couples hot stone massage together, and it was hands down one of the best decisions we've made! Their new location is fantastic, much bigger, beautifully set up, and it even feels like the massage chairs got a upgrade. The couples room was spacious, comfortable, and incredibly relaxing from the moment we walked in. I had Trinity, who is truly gifted. I had seen her about six weeks prior for a hot stone massage and was blown away, and she delivered that same magic again this time. She paid special attention to my problem areas and finished with an incredible scalp massage that left me completely relaxed. My husband had Kenyea. He doesn't get massages nearly as often as he should, but Kenyea blew him away! He told me afterward that it was easily the best massage he's ever had in his life. The modalities we can read about on the site are interesting. I wanted to try V Aguilar. Ended up being really good, used the right pressure as requested. Just what I needed! I think it's been probably at least 3 or 4 years now that I've been coming to Laguna healing massage. Times are harder than usual as the economy is really bad, with purchasing power being super low. But I am thankful for this place. What started as someone working a physical job standing 10+ hours a day, desperately needing relief - that's no more. I do very different work now, but I also live an active life and am a major proponent of good health especially physical health. I booked a 60 minute Neuromusclar/Myofascial Massage with Carressa Densby Pro: + not a lot of places offer this type of massage for $105 + asked if I wanted to focus on my problem areas or whole body. I opted in for the problem areas since I was recovering from an injury Con: - location hard to find, in a corner in a big office space off the freeway - my masseuse provided treatment for me with blue gloves on. It felt so uncomfortable esp when the oil dried up - she only massaged me with ONE hand, this is my first time experiencing this - I can't 100% say, but I have a feeling she was on her phone during the session. At one point I heard a video go off Overall, she's very knowledgeable but my experience made this session distasteful. I decided to give this place another chance after my experience last year while I was pregnant, once my daughter arrived in the world and I recovered, I decided to reach out to the owner. One thing that really made me decide to give them another chance was the fact they updated their website to say prenatal massages after first trimester which I appreciate so no one else goes through what I did. Laguna healing massage offers more styles of massage then jusporelaxing or therapeutic. You can look on their website for full list. They have an easy online booking system as well. So far I've had lymphatic drainage massages from Meka, Tabitha, Vanessa and Kim. I will say each person does things a bit differently but they all are competent at getting the job done. Meka has the most experience in lymphatic drainage. They also have some tools and gadgets they can use to help with fluid drainage. One they called the bell, it looks like a wooden suction cup bell. One is some type of cavitation device. So honestly there are many options here. There is no front desk, door stays locked so don't show up early, show up right on time. Their current 85 for an hr massage is a little high but not too high. They do offer packages as well if you prepay. read more

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I think it's important to share my experience--especially for post-op patients looking for a lymphatic drainage massage (LDM). I called the day before ans was schedule a 30-minute LDM for Sunday at 9 AM, depending on how much I could tolerate due to my recent surgery. The therapist arrived at 9 AM and called me a few minutes past the appointment time. The bed wasn't set up, she was sitting up while I was inside the room and throughout the conversation she repeatedly mentioned that she had been rushed and that traffic was heavy. She also seemed a bit disoriented. She mentioned that she's usually prepared but didn't have time to get things ready, including hot towels. The massage itself was shorter than the scheduled 20 minutes, even though I told her I was okay to continue. She covered my chest with what seemed like a pillowcase, and I'm not sure if that's standard practice. I still left a tip because that's just who I am, but overall, as a first-time client, the experience left a poor impression. read more

I love ashiatsu and masseuses with strong hands to get deep into my muscles where the pain begins. This place did not disappoint. She began with her heels into my rhomboids and continued with her elbows. It was fantastic. I just had a massage by Stephanie Yost, and she was the first CMT to give me a massage exactly how I wanted. Wow! First, I have minimal feeling in my back, not for any reason, I just have never been able to feel much pressure, so when I get a massage, I often have to repeat myself and tell them to 'please apply more pressure! Use the elbows if you must!' And seldom do they actually do what I ask. Stephanie thoroughly asked about my focus areas and the pressure I would like. I explained that whatever pressure she thought would hurt me, she could go even harder. She did not disappoint! I was hesitant to try this place, many mixed reviews but I was drawn to try the Lymphatic Drainage Massage so I took the risk. I would say overall it was a good experience during the appointment - I was rescheduled and my masseuse was friendly. Some points of feedback that I do note is 1) like a lot of reviews here, they do use gloves - which did throw me off since I've never had a massage with gloves before. 2) she asked me about my focus points which I'm glad, but she threw in that she didn't have time to read my chart/review my notes - which I'd anticipate from a pricier experience. 3) when I asked questions, she gave very generic or hesitant answers which made me feel skeptical about her knowledge of the massage. 4) in the email, it says to wear loose fitting clothes for after. I asked about this and she recommended that I wear tight fitting clothes/waistbands to keep drainage going... I followed these directions and 8 hours later did more research because I was skeptical and found out in fact you are supposed to avoid all compression clothing! I'm not afraid I may have harmed the effects of the massage, and again - am unsure about their depth of knowledge. I went here last year for a prenatal massage. I told the massage therapist that I was nervous about giving birth and nervous about my advanced age. She proceeded to tell me the story about the only person she knew my age who gave birth and ended up DYING in labor. I was so taken aback, I didn't even know what to do at the time. I was a stressed out, uncomfortable pregnant woman seeking some relaxation, comfort and self care and instead was sent to the moon with anxiety. It was such an awful experience that almost a year later, it still bothers me enough to finally write a review about it. I found another place afterwards to continue my prenatal massages through the rest of my pregnancy and they couldn't believe someone would tell me that, especially in this situation. I decided to get a massage at Laguna Healing Massage due to the great yelp reviews! I am so glad that I took the chance and tried this place out. When I first booked, it was great because they had a ton of time slots available! They have a bunch of different type of massages to choose from. I chose the 60 minute relaxation massage. Prior to my appointment, I was sent an intake form to fill out which just asked about any prior health issues and which areas I wanted to target on my body. I really liked that they ask what type of aromatherapy you want! I chose eucalyptus, they put the oil on the face pillow and it was just so relaxing to smell throughout the entire massage. My massage therapist was Serina! I haven't seen much reviews about her but WOW, this was one of the best massages I've ever had! I let her know that I have a nipple piercing and that it is normally uncomfortable for me to lay face down for a long period of time. She made the accommodation and put a pillow underneath my chest area and this made me feel SUPER comfortable! I really recommend this place! I've been coming here for a couple years now and every massage therapist I've seen is amazing. They ask where I'd like them to focus on, and really work out my areas in need. Even if I don't tell them a specific spot to work on, if they feel the knots and tensions, they'll work it out. My most recent appointments were with John and previously before John, Jerianne. I enjoyed & appreciate every minute under their care, it was much needed and I'm glad I went to them. I will definitely book again with them. I've also gone to Caressa and Tabitha and they are just as good. Everyone here is well experienced and have their own techniques that always seem to work with me, no matter who I see. If you're in need of a massage of any kind, I highly recommend booking an appointment with any of the therapists listed above, you won't regret it. I came here twice- once for a prenatal massage and the other time for a postpartum massage. My prenatal massage was with Tabitha- she took care of me and made sure I was comfortable throughout my massage during my third trimester. She helped alleviate my back pain and sore calves from the daily pregnancy leg cramps. My postpartum massage was with Kim- I asked to go medium and boy was her medium hard! I had a lot of soreness in my neck and shoulders from breastfeeding/carrying a newborn. I usually go for the painful, sports therapy type of massages. I'm always looking for muscle recovery from working out. I'm not a relaxing type of massage going person. I really wanted to like this massage place as I have been looking for a new massage place in Elk Grove since moving here two years ago. I tried this place out twice and both times and the massage and the experience was not great. The rooms are very cold, the sheets are very cold and slippery, the pillows are very flat. They also do not wipe off the areas of your body that are massaged with a very thick oil and I did ask for this to be done and it still was not. In addition to the towels that they do use are more like linen napkins, and overall the experience was so uncomfortable. read more

I was hoping to get an induction massage, which they don't do, so I settled for a prenatal massage. It was easy to book online, although the first available wasn't until 5 days later. In case you're wondering, they use Soothing touch nut free oil and sacred earth vegan botanicals lotions. My aromatherapy scent was breathe - like eucalyptus and peppermint. The space was clean and relaxing. My masseuse was Kim. I went at 40 weeks. She was great. I laid on my side and flipped half way through. Afterwards, I felt so much more relaxed. Hopefully that will encourage baby to come sooner! I've been to places where they charge more for prenatal massages, which I don't understand why... Thankfully they don't do that here. My review is complex and I really hope the business owner sees this. I made an appointment to see Jocelyn on 02/02/2025, before we began I let her know my problem area being my neck at the base of my scalp, and then I left it in her hands as I typically do with my massage therapists. They're the professionals not me. I felt as though she completely ignored that and worked majority on my back, left side, to the right side, very by the book, flipped me on my back and gave me a scalp massage for the last 5 or so minutes. I felt like it wasted the valuable time I paid for to bring relief to my neck and I left with no relief in my neck and couldn't sleep that night. I had to make an appointment for the next day, and was able to get in with Kim. Kim noticed I was in the day before and I informed her that my problem area was ignored and she completely understood. Kim went to town on my neck for an hour straight (I booked 30 min and told her to extend if it was necessary as I couldn't even turn my head). I was sore the next day but her hard work and the fact she LISTENED brought relief to that stubborn area. Overall, I am disappointed that I had to pay two days in a row being as the first therapist ignored the problem area. Totally depends on who you get. Pricing is good (if you get a good masseuse) prior to the last massage I've been generally happy. Last massage was 90 minutes and it was everything I could do to not get up and walk out. I went in for a relaxation massage and I did not get any relaxation. Well, I can appreciate her trying to work out the knots, the lack of symmetry, lack of lotion/oil, or weird things like let me rub some lotion on your hands, but I'm not gonna actually massage them - left leg was massaged for a really long , overly long and right leg was given barely any attention and some of the techniques were "unusual". read more

She warned me that it would hurt and that I would feel it the next day-no lies there! Later on that evening, I received an email instructing me to a link so I could complete a questionnaire and agree to a $59.00 non-refundable payment should I not keep my appointment. What? There had been no mention regarding a charge on their website and now they are trying to force me into agreeing with their requirement. No! A company needs to be transparent with their policies before a an appointment is made, NOT AFTERWARDS!!! So, I refuse to sign the agreement and couldn't cancel the appointment.
