This lovely location touches the heart from the minute you drive up, through each day you stay. Bonnie is an excellent, energetic and thoughtful host who has decorated her villa with eye candy in every corner. The rooms are all spacious and creative, the kitchen and living area wonderful for any kind of gathering. I was fortunate to stay there for a 60th birthday celebration along with 7 other girlfriends and we had a blast! Morning coffee on the balcony was a peaceful slice of heaven. Bonnie's breakfast was wonderful, her tequila tasting and presentation delightfully entertaining and lively. Your group will not be disappointed!

My husband and I stayed here our wedding night and the night after in mid April. We arrived close to midnight after our wedding, and I had a VERY good time at my wedding, so I was really not feeling very well (we will blame it on the open bar). Bonnie was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! She gave my husband a hangover remedy for me to use in the morning. She served us coffee in our room in the morning (which was delicious) and made us breakfast (which was to die for!). Because I had such a rough hangover the next day, I did not feel up for doing the complementary custom tequila tasting. Bonnie assured me that we could come back anytime to experience the tequila tasting once I had recovered lol! The space is kept so clean and is decorated beautifully. Our room was also super clean, comfortable, and had incredible views. We stayed in the Anejo Suite and all the amenities worked perfectly. The lighting was bright in the restroom and it had great natural light in the room. There are also heavy duty blinds that can block out light too. I truly cannot say enough good things about this villa and about Bonnie. She really made the trip that much more special by being the most welcoming and gracious host. STAY HERE! You will not regret it. My husband and I will be back often, thank you Bonnie!

My husband & I went here for our 1 year wedding anniversary not knowing what to expect as weve never been at a bed & breakfast before... but this place was unbelievably AMAZING! From the breathtaking views, the decor, tequila tasting, champaign 3 course breakfast, the latin music, the cleanliness and the amazing host Bonnie it captured ALL the feels of being in Mexico without actually being there. Bonnie catered to our every need with organization, lots of warmth and details :) It was an experience we will never forget and we will be coming back again for years to come! If your looking for great food, peace, balance, local wineries, activities & wanna escape in a loving environment, then this is your oasis to vist.

Best tequila selection in Placerville county!

I have had the privilege of staying at this beautiful villa twice since it's opened. The setting is extraordinary, the love and attention to detail is unsurpassed, and the proprietor goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is unforgettable.

What a lovely, sweet place. Beautiful environment, and setting, and Bonnie the host is definitely the hostess with the mostest.

Absolutely wonderful couples retreat. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here for two…read morenights, and we enjoyed the gourmet breakfast, beautifully tended grounds, the iconic rowboat, and of course the beautiful rooms with soaking tubs. David and Karen, the owners, are so sweet and welcoming. The inn is dog friendly, as there is a fully functioning outdoor patio area you can eat meals at. There's also a fire pit that's gorgeous at night, and plenty of bird feeders. If you enjoy birdwatching, this is the place as there are a variety of different feathered visitors that come by this naturally beautiful retreat. If you're looking for a peaceful, romantic, and memorable retreat, Eden Vale Inn is your place! Would definitely recommend.

We stayed in the Stone Pine room, which is one of the smaller rooms, but it was a good enough size for a couple, had a private entrance, and did not share any walls with other rooms. Very peaceful and quiet. Keep in mind there was no cell service in this room (Verizon), due to the more secluded location, but the wifi worked great. The star of the show were the outdoor soaking tubs, which really made the experience so special. The tubs are more like bathtubs than jacuzzis, with temperature adjustments which was perfect for being pregnant, and no yucky chlorine smell after. Amazing! The breakfasts were delicious each day and part of the magic of the bed and breakfast. Breakfast was delivered to the room promptly and the owners were willing to accommodate my dietary restriction. Coffee/tea was available via Keurig in the rooms (Starbucks and Peet's pods) with plenty of cream and sugar options. The only downside to our stay was that we ended up having to lose our *full* pay for an expensive massage package due to a personal medical emergency. I am not docking stars on this rating because I understand they are running a business, we signed the policy, etc. This is just my personal opinion on a unique situation for you as a potential guest to know. Because they contract out for their spa services, just beware they do not have a forgiving policy. I happened to have a horribly timed medical emergency at the time of our massage. The masseuses were already onsite and we felt terrible, but I was physically unable to get the massage and needed to go to the hospital promptly. We informed the owners what was going on every step of the way, and they were kind and understanding in the moment given a bad situation. However, I was disappointed they offered no support with brainstorming a potential reschedule (we were willing to pay more), offer a partial refund, small future discount, etc... nothing. It was honestly just crickets from them and seemed to be unsaid that it was not their problem. This might come down to personal opinion, but it felt cold and dampened our experience. I ended up having to be the one to reach out to the owner via text, and again in person when we returned to the Inn to inquire about a reschedule or any support with the matter. The owner stated there were no slots available, no refunds, and cited having to put strict policies in place due to people in the past missing massages for arriving late, oversleeping, etc. Again, this just felt cold considering the terrible morning scare we had, which clearly was different than just being irresponsible. This kind of humanity in hard situations is what sets certain businesses apart for me in extenuating circumstances, and keeps guests coming back. Other than this, we had a wonderful stay and would choose to revisit the Eden Vale Inn given all the other great and accommodating features of our stay.

My husband and I have been to the Green Toad Inn twice now - both times were for accommodations…read moreduring a whitewater rafting trip on the American River. I cannot recommend this B&B enough. The food is unsurpassed, the rooms are beautifully appointed, the beds are comfortable, the grounds are lovely and the location is convenient. THE FOOD: The first morning you will be served the most delectable french toast of your life, along with scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon. The second morning will likely be a spinach and egg quiche with graham cracker puff pancakes, apple cake and shoo-fly pie. Each breakfast begins with a parfait of fresh fruit, yogurt and granola. Accompanying each meal is also orange juice, grapefruit juice, coffee, tea, home-made oatmeal, and a long list of other thoughtful accouterments. Oh, and the best part...eating on the deck while you look out over the sweeping lawn and listen to the various water features and birds chirping. You sit there, immersed in the majestic pine forest that surrounds the house and think, IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS! As an aside, the inn-keeper also baked us fresh cookies and left them out for us when we returned from our rafting trip. THE ROOMS: The rooms and the home are plush and beautifully appointed. Most have private baths, but if you are in a room that doesn't have its own shower, don't worry. There are plenty of washrooms throughout the house and you never have the feeling of being hemmed in or crowded by any other guests. I have stayed in both The Toad Abode and The Nest and both were outfitted with robes, slippers, ample towels, water bottles, chocolates, a hair dryer, shampoo, etc. The room you choose to stay in will determine whether you spend more time on the deck or in the interior of the home. Both are spectacular and by no means exclusive. However, some rooms open onto decks and others open to the inside of the home. Whichever you choose, you can't go wrong. THE GROUNDS: With over a hundred acres (with trails), a pond, a natural spring and towering pines, the grounds beckon to be explored. If you're not a natural-born hiker, the grounds can be enjoyed from the multiple levels of decking that "bedeck" the house. In the evenings, there is nothing more inviting than donning a swimsuit, robe and slippers and heading out to the hot tub for a dip. Grab a bottle of water or soda from the fully-stocked guest fridge and a homemade cookie and you're set. THE LOCATION: The B&B is about 15 minutes outside of town, but that is in no way a downside because of the privacy it affords. Honestly, you will feel like you are on top of the world.

Location would be great for Receptions or large family getaways, especially if you can occupy all the rooms. No real 'food' or 'drink' amenities, so bring your own. I will note, the kitchen is spacious with modern appliances. The wife & I had a great stay. I suggest searching BOOKING.com for a reservation.

The photos and room description was different depending on what site you looked at. There is a steep staircase to get up to the upper rooms so if stairs are an issue, book one of the downstairs rooms We had the Stafford suite and it was amazing. Nicely decorated and again, that bed was so so comfy. If you are under 5'8" you may need a step stool to get in the bed! It can be noisy with the freeway and train nearby but we weren't bothered by it. There is a huge fountain outside the window that helps. This would be a great place for a small wedding or family reunion... the whole place is inviting and cozy. I am sure the grounds are gorgeous in the spring! They do not offer breakfast so we brought some muffins and fruit and enjoyed our coffee in the parlor... you do have full use of the kitchen so If you want to cook, you can. The owners are very prompt to reply if you have questions and check in was a breeze! We will most definitely be back!

We met inside where Bonnie checked us in real quick. Then we got a tour with Bill. He is sooo super friendly and kind. Just a genuinely nice host. Some people act nice but it is professionally cordial. I didn't feel that with Bill, or Bonnie. (Sorry don't mean to leave her out ) Bill gave us great recommendations for wineries and we were able to wine taste with fee waived at 2 wineries we visited. We also got discounts on wine! The places were so chill and relaxing. Beautiful, quiet, relaxing, just what we wanted. I texted Bonnie a few times and she always got back to me super fast. Bonnie also is a wonderful baker and she made a super nice breakfast each day. Bill would refill your OJ and tell you to have a seat as he got coffee refills. When Bonnie was done cooking she came out and then I got to pick her brain about our meals. I love talking food . She was really nice as well and easy to talk to.
