Wow! this beautiful is BEAUTIFUL. I have to say that the attention to detail, the structure, everything from the mirrors to the private bathrooms feels like it was crafted with intention; I tried two drinks, Pachamama which was espresso based and Fuji, i would give the fuji 3/5 based on personal preference i wish i could taste the apple a bit more, and the Pachamama a 5/5, sweet but bold, coffee didn't taste burnt truly a great drink! The entire place just feels like a work of art, it's not TOO crowded, everything is CLEAN - honestly worth it to check it out! The only reason I am rating it at 4/5 is because of the entrance fee - I think with the price of the cocktails being within the $18-30 range im not a huge fan of the entrance fee BUT i would pay it for the experience. Me and my significant other came into the lounge for the event. The environment was more than welcoming. Service was very packed but still diligently attentive. I was not once disappointed with the drinks. I do not drink heavy but all the drinks we did try were true to their names lol. We didn't focus in on any appetizers though I heard about them. The best part was the overall vibe of the lounge despite its location. This is definitely a place to go with the friend group to hang out on a Friday night. read more

Beautiful inside. Drinks are curated with detailed touches on their signature cocktails. Service staff are quick and knowledgeable about drinks. The fact that they put in effort to bring in music/performances from all different cultures really speaks to the special space they want to create. The drinks were also amazing. I have been to Laila lounge several times now and it has been an amazing experience. I have attended the new years party, the brunch party, and another themed party. Each one has lived up to the event description highlighting some amazing performances as well as some wonderful cocktails. It's fun to see the first of its kind in KC where the ambiance is upscale and immersive. I would say it's important to buy tickets early or reserve a table because it can get packed. The staff is really friendly even when they are busy which is nice. I will definitely be back since they are always coming up with new innovations to entertain read more

Laila Lounge is a nice upscale lounge in the West Bottoms. The Saturday night cover fee is $25, the hosts are constantly checking on you, and the decor is perfect for pictures! I did not get a chance to try the menu looked promising. read more

I had an unforgettable experience with Laila Lounge. I had a very good time and the atmosphere was something that you'd find in Vegas or NYC. The servers were attentive and polite. But there was confusion over the bill and charges. My only complaint is I did not appreciate the $150 hold on my debit card when I bought a mimosa. read more

Loved the drinks, service, and ambiance. Cáfe Corazón had featured drinks on the menu which were attractive and delicious.

This is such a cute spot in Kansas City! Did not try the food, but they gave us complimentary snacks. The service was great as well. The ambience is top-tier. Beverages are a little too basic for the price. I did come to see the fire dancers, but unfortunately, they did not have it that night. Imagine having a party of 14...brunch was to be from 12-3pm. We arrived at 1pm and brunch was not ready to be served. Caterer was still setting things up. Shortly after 1pm the food was served. The only thing that was warm was the eggs, and the wagyu steak! NO labels on the food keep that in the back of your mind and I will tell you later why this is an issue! I asked the server if the eggs had cheese and his reply verbatim was "i dunno"???? They appeared a little slimy so I thought there may be cheese in them and I don't eat cheese so I passed first go around. So here is what was on my plate, bacon, cold waffle and wagyu steak...I go back after my daughter tells me there is no cheese in the eggs so now add this to the plate. I eat and socialize ...its about 20 mins before I get back to the buffet...waffles still cold, eggs are cold now, NO bacon, No chicken strips...so i ask the Chef...do you have more bacon coming...her reply was I didn't know this would be such a hit...HUH??? Bacon is a staple for brunch...how do you not know...especially when we paid a $150 deposit for the 14 of us...so whether 14 showed up or not...you had the same head count for every party in there that paid in advance for a reservation! As we are eating and socializing...one of our party says this is lobster mac...THERE ARE 3 PEOPLE AT OUR TABLE WITH SHELL FISH ALLERGIES! There is NO SIGNAGE on the food saying they contain shellfish...as a matter of fact there are NO SIGNS at all on the foo!!!! Now we are in a panic because this has potential to turn into a emergency situation! We called the manager over and she apologized and gave the 3 people with shellfish allergies their money back...but the rest of us ate 1 plate of COLD food that cost us $91! Its pretty bad when you leave brunch and have to get something to eat. We contacted the manager after this disaster of a brunch and she offered us $100 drink tab...divide that by 14...$7 per person! WHAT AN INSULT! So i chose to write this review to hopefully save someone else the time and trouble with this place...they wont last long! KC is a small market...you may get away with this in Vegas or New York but BRUCH spots are rare here so when the word gets out about HOW you conduct business and don't hold up your end of the bargain...your place will slowly become another vacant bldg in the West bottoms! read more
