What a nice rooftop bar located at the Crossroads Hotel! I met some friends here and really enjoyed the vibe and views. Even on an extremely hot day, it was a nice spot, although we didn't stay long because of the heat. I'll definitely be back once the temperatures cool down. The bartender was friendly, but I wasn't a fan of their check policy. They don't split checks, and each party receives one bill. You can pay with up to five different cards, but the total is split evenly between them. Overall, a great rooftop bar. read more

Finally rooftop season! We took the elevator inside the Crossroads Hotel all the way up to the top. Stopped by late Friday afternoon, and it was pretty busy. There were a good number of smaller tables and chairs, picnic style tables, long tables for large groups, a comfy couch area with tables, and a standing area. We were able to snag a small table in the shade for the two of us. Seating is open for the most part, minus a few tables reserved for parties greater than 6. There were one or two servers walking around taking orders for drinks and food, but we just ordered drinks directly at the bar. The bar tenders were super friendly and made delicious drinks! We ordered two mocktails: Preacher's Daughter - passion fruit, vanilla, lime, lyre's n/a sparkling wine + Summertime Sadness - pineapple, n/a red bitter, seedlip garden, lemon. They were a bit smaller than expected, but nonetheless, both were refreshing and fruity, just how I (we) like them. My personal favorite out of the two has to be the Summertime Sadness, which was more fruity and sweet! They have a ton of food, apps, and other drinks available, but we were just stopping by before our dinner reservation elsewhere. Would love to try their food next time with some friends! I had a friend singer songwriter from Nashville in town. We took him there. He was impressed and ordered a big appetizer with many different appetizers. He was so impressed. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was incredibly disappointing. I made a reservation well in advance for my family and expected that our table would be available when we arrived. Instead, the host told us that the guests at our reserved table refused to leave. Rather than resolving the situation, the host and manager simply allowed those guests to stay. We were essentially told there was nothing they could do, offered an unempathetic apology, and turned away with a shrug after honoring our reservation meant nothing. The whole purpose of making a reservation is to ensure you'll have a table at the agreed-upon time. If a restaurant isn't willing to enforce its own reservations, then reservations become meaningless. What was most disappointing wasn't just losing our table--it was the complete lack of ownership, urgency, or effort to make the situation right. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I can't recommend this establishment. read more

The bar line is extremely long and it's in the way, hard to walk around. They may need to invest in some ropes or wrap them around the bar side. I visited this place the other day and had a fantastic encounter with a server named Aspen. My pack of cigarettes and a couple receipts were laying on the table when I went to the restroom. Upon returning, I asked Aspen if she knew where they were because she was wiping the table down. She replied no, she hadnt seen them. At that time Toni was walking by and she said ' yeah those would be in the trash. I said, can't you go get them and she replied that she could see if anyone wants to go through the trash which was fine, I just needed them. Aspen said "I'll go get those, sir and did." When she returned to the table, I pulled out my wallet and said "this deserved a tip." She told me that's not why I did the favor. Simply WOW....... I've been here before and the service has never been this terrible. it was a tuesday night not super busy but we were not served. at all. we got seated by the host, at a dirty table mind you. half ass wiped. and then absolutely nothing, for 15-20 minutes. everyone else around us got served and greeted. got waters. we were confused so we asked the bartender who also treated us rudely, if we're supposed to get served for food and he said a server will come by. nobody came by, we saw multiple servers walking around. nothing. the ambience is nice with the rooftop but service is slow and bad and not up to par with the prices and ambience of everything. will not be coming back. there are better rooftop bars. the drink selection isn't good either. read more

Not only are the servers not attentive at all, they have a major attitude like they're upset that they are having to serve you. Our server took our drink and food order and never saw her again. Someone else brought our food. She didn't check on us, didn't top off drinks, didn't ask if everything was okay. We had to chase down another waiter to get water and had to search for our waitress to get the check. The bar wasn't busy either. It was maybe 1/3-1/2 full. Cute rooftop! I unfortunately had just eaten before coming here but the food menu looked delicious! Very Mediterranean style options. There was a good mix of seating options. Big tables, couches with a small table and a chair, bar height tables with no chairs for mingling, this place could fit any occasion. I ordered the party pressure cocktail with tequila and I loved it so much I took a picture of the menu so I could try to recreate it at home. Nice views and fun place to hang out and grab a drink but I don't recommend going there for any holidays. 4th of July was a complete mess. My group made a reservation and was told "it's going to be a while" before we got our table. Ended up waiting over an hour at the bar and still didn't end up getting seated after an hour and a half. Made reservations for 25, and they were ready for us when we got there. Our sever was great for majority of the night. Then, we saw the manager getting on to him at the bar and after that multiple people never got their drinks. The manger came over and told me "this isn't a private party and you only had two hours" it was past the two hour mark and that was the first time that night we had heard that. Which was fine, I said "thank you for letting us know" then she repeated it again adding this isn't a private party and it was in the email. I said "again thank you for letting us know". Then the server came back over and someone asked about the missing drinks. He told us our "energy was off all night and they closed at 10"- earlier telling us they close at midnight. Adding that we were gone for a long time. The girls in the group went over to the other side to take a group picture. The first picture was taken at 8:30 and the last was at 8:40. Most the girls went back right after the first picture. Then he walked away and said we all have already closed out our tabs- not true. I went and asked him and he said people were being rude to him. I asked him to come back over so we could all tab out. Which he did. Then, when someone was asking him a question he put his tray down like he was going to fight her. I had to go get the manger because it was very uncomfortable. The worker then finally walked away. As we were leaving, he was walking back towards the group, I said "it's really probably best to not go back over there" he said "oh I'm just going to that restroom". Later to find out he was just standing there and staring at the rest of the party leaving. This seems like the pressure to get us out was placed on him. Which again, totally fine, but it could have been an easy "hey so you guys actually have to be out in 30". I made the reservation July 7th and called to ask questions and verify multiple things since it was going to be such a large group. Very disappointed in the management. Also, still have no idea what I was charged for or anything because they never let us tab out. This definitely left a bad taste for all of us there, which is unfortunate. read more

This cute little bar is on the roof of the Crossroads Hotel. It has some great views of the city! We did not eat, but the food that was delivered around us looked really good. Drinks were on the high side but very tasty! We had reservations (which I highly recommend if you want to be sure you have a place to sit), so we were seated quickly. Our waitress took a few minutes to wait on us, but it wasn't a huge deal. She took our drink orders and brought them out. She did come back to check on us but not so close together that it was annoying. The music was very loud (and we were there at 3 pm, not at night), so that was a bit distracting. We were second in line and checked in when the hostess literally laughed at us when we told her our party size and name and proceeded to tell us it would be a 5 hour wait. We had no way of knowing the amount of time when we arrived and the laugh was incredibly unprofessional. Apparently everyone should know that if you don't have a reservation, even though waitlist is offered, that you are a joke. read more

Hard to find a place to park. Great rooftop views of downtown and the Kauffman at night. We went to watch the full moon rise, but the buildings are too tall to see it when it just starts to rise and is still huge. There's a very limited but interesting selection of specialty cocktails that are served in very small glasses, for a high price ($14). Only a couple of them are sweet, but the Turkish Iced Coffee was good, and you get more for your money. The food menu is also pretty limited, and didn't wet my appetite, but the hummus with pita was good. Friends who ordered the Kofta Skewers (lamb) said they were very dry. We had to ask for water and napkins. If you order food or drink, you have to give them your credit card upfront and they keep it for the duration. I asked about their security for those cards, and they said they keep them at the reception desk...no lockbox or safe...and the only reassurance was that "only employees will be around the area where they are kept," which I don't consider to be any insurance at all. But that is their policy. So I only ordered one drink, closed out my tab, and got my card back. read more

Percheron is the kinda place you go to for the ambiance. Picture worthy views and drinks. Table service isn't always the best especially on busy weekends and there's usually quite a line to order at the bar. Not sure if they're short-staffed, but surely there's a better system that will help the servers to not feel so overwhelmed by the lunch/dinner-time rush. Personally, I've found week nights at Percheron to be a lot more enjoyable as far as service and seating availability. But regardless, if you're with good company a wait isn't so bad! Drinks are refreshing, sometimes inconsistent in their flavor, but enjoyable to sip on a rooftop nonetheless. read more
