The Corner Cone is a great place for a treat. They now accept credit cards and are no longer cash only!

We had Cherries Moobilee. It had plenty of cherries, chunks of brownie, with a chocolate swirl. We had a small, but it was very generous. There were a variety of favors. I wish I had room for more. There were a few tables indoors and outdoor seating at picnic tables on a deck overlooking the farm. The service was quick, and workers were helpful. You may have to seek it out, but it is worth the effort. I would definitely recommend Moomers.

Good because the ice cream was fantastic but bad because we went every single day and I've never eaten so much ice cream in such a short period of time . Moomers is a local homemade ice cream spot next to their dairy farm a little off the beaten path. Their website lists all of their flavors (and there are many) but when you arrive there's a daily menu of what is available. Every flavor I tried was delicious and chock full of the goodies they add in. They highlight their Cherries Moobilee which is a black cherry ice cream with chocolate swirl a black cherries. They also have some sorbet options if you're non dairy and some unique sundaes on their menu as well. When you enter the store you immediately smell the homemade waffle cones and you're likely to see a line, maybe even out the door. But their service is friendly and efficient and they do a great job of moving people through fast! There's a few booths indoors to sit at but the patio is a real gem on a summer day with plenty of picnic tables and a view of the farm next door. Definitely stop in and give them a try! It was a highlight of our vacation!

Fantastic sandwich and pizza option if you're headed to or from Sleeping Bear Dunes!…read more We came across Shipwreck Cafe after stopping for gas next door on the way to Sleeping Bear Dunes. We wanted a kid friendly option and came in for the pizza, but ended up being blown away by the massive sandwich menu! Don't be discouraged by the line - it moves FAST!!!! The young people at the register and in the kitchen are efficient and so nice!!! We arrived about half an hour before the sign says pizzas are ready, and the lovely man at the register said "sure!" when we asked if we could order a pizza. The menu has something for everyone - Including plenty of vegetarian options (I think they even had a vegan option). I loved my Griffon, and the meat eaters in our group enjoyed the SS Noronic (a BLT) and the Fitzgerald. Our kids devoured their cheese pizza! They also carry Great Lakes Co Chips, which are some of the best potato chips we've ever had. Our sandwiches were all so inventive with delicious, fresh ingredients, amazing condiments, and the most freshly baked "pretzel rolls" ever. If this place wasn't a vacation stop for us, we'd be back all the time! Our kiddos favorite part, bedsides the pizza, were the tiny plastic swords that came in our sandwiches holding them together. When they each wanted one more sword, we went back inside and the staff inside was so used to kids asking for more tiny swords that their response to "May we have two more swords?" Was "Sure! What colors?!" Very different from what the response would have been where we're from. :) We even came back later in the day for the frozen custard!!! All in all, it was a great experience with great food, great service, plenty of outdoor picnic tables under umbrellas, and something for everyone to eat.

Part clothing, gear, and tourist shop, part ice cream parlor = 100% good stuff…read more I always love browsing here. They carry things you may need for a day at the beach, clothing from brands like North Face, Patagonia, Free People, etc. Plus local touristy gear like branded sweatshirts from local brands like M22, stickers, etc. The brands they carry aren't cheap but Leland is a pricier tourist town. The ice cream parlor serves Moomers ice cream which is some of the best ice cream out there. Here you can pick from one of 32 flavors to get on a cone, in a bowl, as a sundae, in a float, or a shake, etc. My go to flavors are usually Supermoo or Cherries Moo-boolie. The shop is one of the few in town that is not dog friendly inside (I'm guessing because of the ice cream counter) but it's ok because they also have a walk up window (for ice cream only) so anyone with a canine can still enjoy a nice scoop. It also has water and such out for your pups!

We stopped here to stretch our legs and walk the dog for a bit. It is a cute little town. This store was cute but pricey. We had kids so they all wanted ice cream. The staff was friendly and they had a cute little pup window to get us a pup cup for our husky. She loved it. My ice cream was delicious too.

We are here camping with family…read moreand were looking forward to our breakfast at Bud's as we enjoyed them so much last year. We arrived at 9 am on a Sunday morning, only one other table in the restaurant waiting for their order. Our family members ordered their food, and then our order followed - all went in all by 9:10 am. 5 meals total. The place began to fill up, and soon it was packed. Our family received their food about 15 minutes after. Their breakfast was 2 of the 'Bud's Breakfast' - two eggs, ham + toast, they said it was not hot, seemed like it had been sitting for a bit. We thought our food would be close behind, a meat skillet, a buds breaky, and pancakes for my 3 year old twins...but unfortunately at 9:57 I finally went up there to ask how much longer it would be as our family had already finished their food. The staff said just a few minutes more. At 10:05 my husband walked up and could see all of our food sitting in the window, ready, without any efforts to begin bringing it out to us. We decided we'd rather leave than eat a cold breakfast almost an hour after placing our order. My husband requested a refund, which they first said "oh we can bring out your order" to which we insisted on just refunding us. The staff member refunding our order was understanding, and didn't try to push further, although we found everyone did just brush it off by saying 'we're really busy' and we were trying to be understanding; but we arrived before the rush. I respectfully expressed our frustrations, as my 3-year-olds began getting hangry (and honestly, I was feeling hangry too, mom-snack-stash to the rescue!) as this was not the way we hoped to end our family vacation. So we left with empty stomachs, major disappointment, and crying children. We loved the atmosphere so much, they have fun games on the back wall that kept us entertained. We were just hoping for a fun experience as a family, but it just didn't deliver. Truly a bummer!
