So happy to have found a "dental" family practice! I first saw Dr. Michael who is semi-retired and leaves most appointments to his son Mark or daughter-in-law Alyson. Dr. Michael Sperling is so warm and kind! He was very thorough and found issues I asked my former dentist about yet he'd ignored- specifically cavities I could actually see! So I am now getting cavities filled and crowns replaced thanks to some great dental examinations by the Sperling team! My first cleaning was with veteran hygienist, Rose, who was exceptionally gentle and mindful of my TMJ syndrome. This week I began getting my fillings and crowns with Dr. Alyson who was very bubbly and charming and good at keeping me aware of what processes were happening during my treatment. Lauren, the dental assistant, is absolutely precious! She is so authentic, funny and caring and very good at her job. All of the staff members I've encountered at Sperling are so genuine and friendly! I am thrilled so far!! read more

I have been going to Sperling Dental for about 4 years and they are great! I initially came to them as a second opinion after my last dentist tried to tell me I needed a bunch of unnecessary work done. I have never had any issues with the office staff or the dentists. Appointment scheduling can be a bit tricky since that are usually booked out but they have a cancellation list and work to fit you in to the best of their ability. Everyone is very professional and kind. I have had to have a few major things done and the price is what you would pay if you went elsewhere. Let's face it no major dental work is cheap anywhere you go. I have had to get a few referrals for a root canal and perio and the places they referred out were also great. I trust Sperling Dental and they will be our families dentist for life. read more

I chose not to return to this dentist however I do not say they're good or bad. They are nice, professional and have a clean office. If you want aggressive treatments to minimize future visits and issues I feel this dentists may match you. However if you want a more conservative approach this may not be the dentist- on my routine cleaning visit he recommended a lot lot of work showing X-rays- which I and my insurance paid for. I assumed more work needed as people age. Note I've never had dental issues in the past and I had no pain. When I came later for a routine cleaning again I had no symptoms and again there was problems he recommended being addressed. I got second opinion, and no treatment beyond cleaning and note of areas to watch and pay special attention when brushing. read more

I've been coming to Dr. Sperling and his staff for 6+ years and even now with Covid they are very safe, efficient, and caring with their patients. The office is very nice and clean, the equipment seems new-ish and well taken care of, and they have TVs in every room to take your mind off anything you might not like with having your teeth cleaned. After a full mouth Xray, Dr. Sperling referred me to a different DDS to extract 3 of my bottem front teeth. The extraction left me with exposed roots well below the gum line on the existing tooth next to the extracted teeth. Dr sperling told me the gum line will grow back. It will not. Dr. Sperling made me a removable plate to replace the extracted front teeth, but even though he tried to adjust it, the plate never fit in my mouth and even though he knew I could not wear it, I had to pay for it. Dr. Sperling told me I need to have ALL of my teeth extracted and he would make me false teeth. Yesterday I got a second opinion from a different dentist. He took full mouth Xrays, then told me I do NOT need to have any teeth pulled, and that one tooth has an infected root that can be treated. He then fixed the removable plate for my bottem front so that I may now use the plate comfortably. read more

Dr. Sperling is fantastic. He runs a little practice over on Delaney street and have always enjoyed his professionalism and the staff. His prices are very reasonable and are willing to work within your budget. I remember one time I had gotten an infection and had to call Dr. Sperling on his cell phone. He got a prescription for some penicillin and called the pharmacy to make sure everything was taken care of when I arrived. read more

Let me mention in particular that Rose, their dental hygenist, is wonderful. She is sweet, gentle,friendly without being patronizing. She accommodated my needing to being my little girl (4 years old) with me when babysitter wasn't available. Rose made sure my girl had a seat and was doing fine while I got my teeth cleaned. She even offered to let her take a ride in the cool chair that went up and down when mommy was done (and she did). this office gets better each time I go. Highly recommend! read more

It is hard to get an appointment, but they will obviously work with you if you're in pain. He was recommended by a co-worker who need a lot of dental work. First problem front office staff Kelly is just plain rude and has no desire to help you schedule for convenience. She insist on having me come in only for x-rays during the first appointment. I've never been to a dentist that doesn't do a cleaning and x-rays at the same time. I work during the week Monday through Friday and requested to have a cleaning and x-rays done at the same time. Kelly was annoyed with this request but after some discussion I thought we found an appointment for both a cleaning and X-rays. Wrong. I got to the appointment and all they wanted to do was take X-rays. I asked about the cleaning and was informed I'd have to schedule another appointment. I waited for Kelly, who apparently was running late, to discuss my options. The only option was to reschedule. Then she complained that I only gave her my insurance information and paperwork Monday! 24 hours isn't enough time? I'm just confused at what this business finds acceptable at this point. Highly unimpressed. Also, I wasn't a new patent and had all the same info previously on file. Same plan, same ID.... maybe she's just over worked, but it's enough to make me look elsewhere. read more

The entire Sperling Dental office is SO amazing. So amazing that I drive an hour to see them whenever needed. I had a crown fall out the day before I was scheduled to be induced with my baby and they saw me day of induction to ease my mind. Told me everything would be fine and to come back once I was done healing from the pregnancy and they would fix it. That's when Covid hit so naturally I couldn't come in for a year and a half (especially with a new baby) so it just went on the back burner. Fast forward two years and they are still so accommodating with fixing the crown. They saw me immediately, worked around my schedule, and even redid the work at no cost. I am never anxious before coming in, they numb everything before officially numbing everything and the process is so easy. I'm always in and out and never wait in the waiting room. They take you straight back! All 3 dentists are wonderful, kind, and have excellent bed side manner. I highly recommend the Sperling family. read more

I Initially went in to get a crown on my front tooth. Sperling JR was recommending that i also get my other front tooth removed even though it was perfectly fine. I thought this was a weird request and called around for 2nd and 3rd opinion and the other dentist informed me there would be no reason for that. Not sure why it would be recommended for a perfectly fine tooth. After waiting 9 months and using a temporary mouthpiece i went in and they had my permanent tooth ready. It wasnt even close to being a color match and they sent it back to the lab to make it less white. I went back a 2nd time about a week later and it didnt look much difference. At this point Sperling Sr was finishing on putting the permanent tooth on. I informed them i dont think its a match and they blamed it on the lighting. I took their word for it but unfortunately when i got home it was clear that it wasnt a match. Very disappointing and felt mislead by the dentist. After about 6 months i gave them the benefit of the doubt and went in for a cleaning. To be fair I am very picky for teeth cleanings as i have more tartar buildup than the typical patient. I expressed that with them and even stated i would be willing to pay double out of pocket for a thorough cleaning. They insisted a regular cleaning would be fine. Once they called me in for the cleaning it literally took 22 mins and felt rushed out. The hygienist never even polished my teeth. This is by far the shortest cleaning i have ever had as they are typically a hour long or longer. I felt like just another number to them to quickly make a buck to get the next client in. I should have known better with my Crown experience. I left and politely told them i was not happy with the cleaning and expressed that to Sperling Jr. He later called me and apologized and said this is typical as his hygienist are fast, I didnt undertand that explanation but bottomline i will not go back to this dentist as they failed on both procedures. Of course, after I graduated from college, my dental health kind of took the back seat, but then I met Dr. Sperling and he fixed me up. I have had a family dentist my whole life but when I moved permanently to Orlando, I had to find someone new. Dr. Sperling is a perfectionist when it comes to teeth, and he is also a great person. He is very interested in his patients and he is very easy to relate to. His staff is also very friendly and helpful. His office is equipped with the latest technology but it still has a very non intimidating feel. I also hear his son will be coming on board to help out in the next few years. By far the best experience I have ever had at the Dentist. Dr. Alyson is kind, friendly and professional. The staff is welcoming and professional. There were no lectures and I was treated like a grown up. My first appointment they did a full exam and x-rays and Dr. Alyson laid out all that needed to be done and the staff sent me the breakdown of what it would cost after my insurance. Seriously, don't go here. Junior is trying to get experience. Thus he is drilling away with reckless abandon on teeth that do not need to be touched. It will cost you. So if you have insurance, you will be a victim. He drilled and cracked a tooth that he claims had no idea had a filling (he only took a full set of films). I ended up with an emergency root canal and crown. Also, I got a second opinion on the "cavities" he claimed I had, and I had none. read more

So far I really happy that I made the switch to Sperling Dental. We were going to a dentist, closer to our home in Winter Park, but we kept leaving there unhappy. Finally, I researched reviews and formally made the swich to Sperling Dental. I have been very happy with all of the hygenists, and with both Dr. Sperlings (father and son run practice.) The facility is really nice, easy to find, and sparling clean. I needed a new crown after my first cleaning and they talked me through that step by step. Everything was done very professionally and I have had no issues with my teeth at all. Quick, easy, and painless...just the way that I like the dentist!! Dr.Sperling also let me listen to ipod, which had a great seletion in my opinion, while they were drilling to drown out the noise. I wanted to write this because there are so many like myself who seriously fear the dentist. As the dental issues pile up, so does the anxiety. I knew I needed to have a lot of work done, so I started researching dentists in Orlando. After some time, I finally got the nerve to make the appointment. I began with a consultation, and it was a very positive experience. The staff and Dr. Mark Sperling were great. Once X-rays were taken, and the doctor had a chance to review them, he had a look at my mouth. He asked what my goals were, and had a great plan to achieve them. Today was the first of several visits to get there. My anxiety was very high, but Dr. Sperling kept everything so positive and made me feel very comfortable. He has a great attitude and he listens to his patients and their needs. I really believe that no matter the problem, he can develop a plan. His confidence in what he does helps you feel more comfortable. The feeling in my mouth is starting to come back now. He said it would last until about 9pm. They used the "good stuff".
