I came in with dental insurance and a chipped tooth that needed a simple bonding. I clearly told them what I was there for. Of course, they started with a full X-ray and first-time exam (standard stuff), but then things got weird. A very well-dressed woman walks in not in scrubs, and starts telling me I need a deep cleaning before they can even touch my chipped tooth. She throws around things like "possible heart disease". The whole thing felt more like a sales pitch than a medical opinion. Honestly, if you're trying to be taken seriously in a healthcare setting, maybe dress like you're actually part of it not like you're there to close a car deal. Then comes the quote: $1200 for the deep cleaning with insurance. I was told insurance doesn't cover it. That sounded off, so I called my provider they said that's not true that they covered it . Insurance called the office asking for the paperwork to verify coverage. Aspen Dental refused to send it. It took multiple calls to finally get them to send what was needed, and sure enough, insurance confirmed it was covered. Did Aspen ever call me back? Nope. I ended up going somewhere else, had no problems, and guess what? The procedure was covered just like insurance said. Moral of the story: if you don't want to feel like just another dollar sign, go somewhere else. These folks don't care about you or your dental Health they care about the green in your pocket

Dr. Martin immediately came up with a plan to move the teeth to create spaces for implants. When the spaces opened up he attached Pontic teeth, so I wasn't left with giant gaps. Other orthodontics that I had talked to gave the option of shoving all my teeth together, which would have deformed my side profile and bite. Dr. Martin is the most accommodating and personable doctor I've known. His staff is the sweetest and is always apt to advocate for you. Several times they've made me retainers absolutely free.
