Bought my truck with just over 80,000, (just voiding their extended warranty that goes until 80,000), for around $26,000 listed price. (Under 100 miles over 80,000) Timing chain went on truck within 2 months. IWE system started being noisey within a month and half. Still isn't right after the dealer has looked at it 3 times. And when I called and asked if they could just hook me up with a mechanic that could get in sooner than the dealer, (I literally stated I don't expect them to do a thing for me as I'm outside their warranty), I got "what do you expect us to do for you". Did end up calling his mechanic who basically told me their first apt availability was a month out. I would say "Buy with confidence" anywhere else and I truly hope this helps someone in the future when looking at their motto. read more

Ive bought 3 vehicles from these guys and thought for sure I'd be a lifelong client, the owner seems to be a great guy, the salesman Dan seems to be a great guy, but I'm at a loss here. The vehicle I bought is a 2018 Audi SQ5 for over $40,000 it was my dream vehicle and the owner actually got involved in helping me get in the vehicle. Super props to him. Shortly after I got it home I noticed a pulsing vibration through the floorboards while going straight and more aggressively when I turn right. Nothing happens when turning left. I thought it was nothing, maybe needed the tires balanced, so I had that done with no effect to the vibration. I notified Lake City of my problem then, maybe 1 at the most two weeks into my ownership of the vehicle. I brought it to multiple garages including an Audi dealership for diagnosis. Everyone kept saying wheel bearing (which would be odd having a wheel bearing go at such low milage 64k) so I wound up having the rear left replaced twice and the front right replaced once. I also had the tires replaced and a rear axel replaced. Lake City assisted with I think two of the 3 bearing replacements. None of these repairs had any effect on the condition of the vehicle. Eventually expert staff at the Audi dealership got involved and gave me a correct diagnosis, the issue is the transmission in the front differential area. I spoke to a transmission specialist, described the symptoms and he seconded the diagnosis, transmission specifically the front differential bearing. Now I'm putting a transmission in it for $4700 not even a year into owning it. Pretty awesome. This is 2 out of 3 cars that have had costly major issues within the first year of owning. read more

So it started with me wanting a 7 or 8 seater at a specific amount a month. They did work with me about the payments but it has been horrible for months. First was water pouring in my car rain or shine. They fixed it. Didn't fix it. Happened again for 1 month. They finally fix it and now my electric is messed all over the car. Now the engine is making a bad sound and when I called to say after 1 week I have to deal because there is no lemon law in maine. That's what nick said. So now months later my really crappy car is stuck at garage and now I'm out money for a car I frankly can see will be nothing but problems. So I called the office of the president and they said I could probably switch it out cause I still want a car just not that one. But after weeks they said no and here i am. I had to buy a 700$ car off some old ladies who had an illegal sticker on it cause mine wouldnt run. No body should have to be forced in a used car with this many problems. * Helpful at acquiring loan *Purchased vehicle for $10,990 * Gas tank 1/4 filled after purchase * After 10 minutes of owning the vehicle we called to report lug nut cover missing we were told " We do not cover wheels." * Part was purchased at the Chevrolet Dealership across the road for $7.00 by me * 2 weeks into owning the vehicle, a noise that I thought was the roof rack, was diagnosed to be the front struts. * Lake City exports paid their repair man to fix the vehicle at no cost to me. *The thermometer of the car read the engine was hot a few weeks later. We checked the fluids and the coolant was on the low side. We filled it with coolant. This appeared to solve the issue. * At times on hills the vehicle would not shift properly out of park and I would have to hit the brakes to stop the car from rolling and re start the car. I took this as a new user issue to the Cecile. * On May 14th 2011 20 (approx) days out of 60 day Lake City exports warranty the vehicle ceased to work in a safe fashion. The vehicle was traveling at 55 mph when the speedometer independently went from 0 to 60 to 15 to 60 to 0 ...we continued to travel 55mph until we lost power and stalled within seconds. The radio drifted in and out. We attempted to drive again hoping to make it home (we were 30 miles away) and we drove a mile and the same thing occur ed again. I called AAA and they towed it to a mechanic. *After the weekend I contacted the mechanic who said he would take a look at it as soon as possible *A week later I believe he said it was the Transmission Modulator * I called Lake City Exports who I acknowledged knowing the warranty expired. They helped me to acquire the part for what they would pay for it $367.00 Due to them having the wrong number, it was a month until I contacted them to check if the part had come in. They had sent it back as they could not reach me. I was able to get the part from the Chevrolet dealership across the street that same day after they contacted them for me. * The car has been in repair since. The gentleman who has the vehicle is 15 miles away from this location and the vehicle is undrivable. He replaced this part and reprogrammed it with no success. * I called Lake City Exports after calling Chevrolet themselves and they are willing to help me figure out a game plan for fixing the car, however the cost of course is my responsibility. With these facts in place I give this business a neutral rating. I appreciate the help at acquire parts, however feel the small gestures of them not paying for a lug nut cover or truly acknowledging this car is a lemon is disheartening to me. I will not recommend purchases from this auto dealership to those that I like. The only way I would do business with them again is trading this vehicle, for one that can actually take me from point a to point b for a reasonable amount of time. read more

Please read full review I bought a 2005 Volvo S40 T5 from them in February 2013 and I've nothing but problems since. Because I paid what the car was worth and not what they wanted for the car I did not receive a warranty. Ok, if I'm buying a good car I shouldn't need a 30 day warranty anyway so I should be safe. The car made it 75 days when the head gasket went. The car was in the shop for two months after the head gasket repair because of a timing code. I then had to take it to a Volvo dealer because the first shop couldn't figure out what was wrong. The out come is a junk engine that needs to be replaced. That aside you really can't predict mechanical failure so let me move on to the "Brand new tires". They were hung up on the new tires that they had put on, and pushed quite a bit during the sale. After a short time it would appear that an alignment was never done, so my new tires started cupping. After blowing off some steam in this review and being quite frustrated with my situation, my wife decided to call the dealer just to inform them of what was going on. The owner Derek was quick to respond to her and talk through the issue, but quite frankly Lake City doesn't owe us anything. Because I did not receive a warranty as part of the bargaining process and I would have been beyond the warranty time line anyway. What happened next is the surprise and how every person should run a business. Derek contacted me and said that he would have the tires replaced because it's obvious that something was not right. AND because he wants to take care of his customers the best he can, he's going to give me some money towards the engine replacement. I really appreciate Lake City Exports' customer loyalty and the help that they have given me, above and beyond what they should have.
