It's…read morereally quite a cute little place, with a ton of fun stuff to do there and in the area it's located at. It's in Belmont about an hour from Ossipee Lake and about a half an hour from Lake Winnipesaukee. It's a cute set up with a few tenting sites as well as a majority of RV and cabin sites. Definitely a seasonal place we're regulars spend their time. Quiet hours are after 10pm and fire had to be out before midnight. There are privacy fences around the few tent sites. When we forgot our paddles for one of our kayaks they let us use one for free. They had paddle boards and kayak rentals as well. The beach area was as nice as it could be but it did have a lot of floaties and a good amount of guck on the bottom. It wasn't a deep lake and it was filled with river weed and plant like to the surface just after the beach. Definitely don't want to fall in out of the beach area ! The owners hand delivered ice and fire wood whenever we called the front office, among other things. They wouldn't take our tips either. They even had a small store. All in all the place is cute, the owners are nice and when we were in last minute jam they were very accommodating !!

This year was the first year that mangy was horrible as the camp ground was sold to modern America and it use to be a family owned camp ground . No one was ever there to meet us to check us in or there when we had to return the gate key . The first visit my uncle who is handicap the bathroom shower seat broke when he was on it , one of the mgt was there and did nothing but put a sign on the bathroom "use caution shower seat broke " 5 weeks later they kinda fixed it. We started a fire and half the ground from the site went up as the site was full of pine needles and leaves that were never cleaned up. We were asked to move our car from the overflow parking lot when the same lady told us to put it there. The last night of our stay in Oct of 2023 there was domestic with a gun at the entrance and not one person of mgt was there but my husband was with the police. I am so upset with modern America They every went as far as not renewing another family memebers seasonal because she asked very nicely when they thought the shower seat would be fixed (after 4 weeks) she politely stated there are lots of elderly and disabled in the park an she was just wondering .

I'd recommend it to families for larger get-togethers, too, as all the living, cooking, and dining areas are shared. Depends what you're looking for. I stayed twice…read more It's a rustic ski lodge vibe, creaky wood floors, no rugs. The rooms & house is clean. The coffee bar is Keurig with Kcup & tea options, zero cream or milk; requested but not brought. Would have gotten some myself had the arrangement/request not been handled by housekeeper. The front steps could use some maintenance. There is a key code needed to check in; same code different stays. Zero staff on site. They send you a security deposit request by text w/a link. Most of us ignore texts from unknown senders. I emailed to get code; got it once I paid the deposit. The front-door code/security is deceptive. There were 3 other doors, all unlocked, one open/ajar & one w NO lock. At 10:30 pm we called all numbers posted; one was disconnected. No response that night. Kayla the manager NEVER responded. Heard from the (website?) management company after check-out time/after we left. Heard from BRI later. Another guest came at 10:30 pm out of the dark at back door, wanting us to let them in. Told them the process to get the code. They then said they had come in earlier & put stuff in a random room. Def a security breach. The door that wouldn't lock we gathered house things to try to barricade it since no one called us back. No idea if others had entered via the unsecured doors. Since our "private bath" could be accessed by anyone in the building (unlocked/just a note on door) & we had to cross a public hallway from our room, it was unnerving. (I do not consider that a private bath.) BRI seemed to not understand how frightening this security breach was. Management co took 4 full days to convince RBI to offer a partial refund. Another phone # was provided that we should have used, long after the stay. Not helpful. Without this security breach & lazy follow-up, I probably would have given them a 4+. Inexpensive lodge, quiet area. Rm keys by front door so all entering know what rooms are occupied. They claim a locksmith has come & fixed the no-lock door. Check doors/security at nonhotel stays!

Even without the familial connection, I'd be absolutely in love with this place. Family and friends gathered this past weekend for a memorial hike in honor of my dad, who passed in 2007. Leon and Nellie went out of their way to accommodate us, down to even offering additional rooms when some extra guests appeared and getting up extra early to make us to-go egg sandwiches we could take long on our hike up Mt. Washington. Both our group and the other guests at the Inn were treated like treasured friends in their home and it felt like a big old family reunion for us all. The Spruce Moose is the perfect location---a short walk to the adorable North Conway village, and a quick drive to countless hiking options. The decor makes you feel like you're visiting friends in a luxurious mountain home. Zeb and Avery, the two trusty labs, greet you at the door and will cuddle you on the couch for hours if you let them. The beds are comfy, and the rooms contain no tvs so you can truly enjoy the nature around you (though there IS wi-fi if you need your technology fix). Breakfast in the morning is delicious and filling. Tea and coffee are available at any time. It was an amazing weekend, in no small part to Leon and Nellie. I will be back to the Spruce Moose the next time I come to North Conway!

Avery and Jed are the most welcoming doggies, I was only with them for one night and I miss them terribly. The breakfast was excellent, coffee and tea are available all the time. My room was beautiful, the shower had great water pressure, and the lodge itself is super warm and cozy. I honestly felt like I was visiting relatives I just hadn't met yet.
