*Update: Response from business owner is garbage. It is exactly what happened and is reflected accurately. She was clearly frustrated with the minor inconvenience. Yes. She stated she works with Canva but she expressed by tone and clearly grumbling under the phone "Oh my god." She was annoyed by our conversation and it showed. There was nothing friendly about the conversation, even at "Hello." I did speak with other print shops in the area while trying to find a good one who wouldn't be frustrated with me. They all stated that Barbara, the owner of this business, is known for being this way and is commonly frustrated with her customers. My interaction here is a PERFECT example of BAD customer service in any workplace. From other print shops, they informed me that it was likely a "Barbara," as this was an older woman. I called in (seeing Google's rating was 4.8) in hopes of getting my dad's invitations printed for his party. I was seeking guidance and she wasn't friendly at first over the phone. At first, I mentioned Canva and she seems a little bit disgruntled over that. "Yes. I've worked with Canva. Everyone uses it. I don't know whyyyyy." I brushed it off and mentioned emailing the invitation. I'm not familiar with Lake Natoma and its spelling, as I'm from Fresno and simply trying to get invitations for my dad printed. We got through info@... and I asked her to repeat the Natoma part and she was even more disgruntled over that. I didn't even catch her spelling it out again until I heard her very clearly grumble and under her breath "Oh my god." At that moment, I excused myself and hung up. I couldn't even get the help or service because I felt I was a burden to Barbara and felt she didn't want my business. I go on yelp to see this place has 3.5 stars. Safe to say, never trust Google reviews. read more

I ordered 3 tshirts over the phone (my first mistake) in July with Barbara. I told her EXACTLY what I wanted Anvil 50/50 heather gray tshirts (providing sizes) and I would email her the design I wanted for front and back, which I did the same day. I told her my Suicide Prevention Walk is on September 29th. She thanked me for giving her plenty of time to do the order. She stated in that first call that she did not have the exact tshirts I wanted in stock but could order. She informed me she would email me the designs when completed. I heard nothing for atleast 3 weeks. I called her and she stated again she would email me the designs when finished and asked again what tshirts and sizes I wanted, I told her again. Atleast 2 more weeks go by and nothing. I called her and she said her equipment went down so she had to start over and she'd been out of town, on this call she asked again what tshirts I wanted. I called her again in about a week (by now the end of August) and at that time she emailed me the design for the back. I approved the design. On this call she asked again what tshirts I wanted. She stated she had not finished the front design yet. Yes by now I'm pi**ed. Another couple of weeks (now the second week in September) I called her again and she stated she would email me the front design, AGAIN asking what tshirts I wanted and size. A couple of days later I received an email with the front design. I approved it and asked that it be in dark blue. On September 17th I received an email that my order was ready. I went to her very unorganized, dirty store (which now I understood why she seemed so flaky on the phone everytime) on Natoma in Folsom. The sizes of the tshirt were right, the design on back was correct, the design on the front was not dark blue and the brand of tshirts, color and blend were incorrect. They were light gray not heather gray (gray with white specks throughout), brand "very important tee" aka cheap and that's what I had in stock because I forgot to order what you wanted. And 90% cotton/10% polyester. Stiff, thick, uncomfortable tshirt. I went to pay with a card and she told me she only takes cash (strange right?) and told me to drop off the $35 whenever. I took the tshirts home knowing I would return them but I honestly could barely get out of her store because she would not stop talking so I did not want to deal with the incorrect tshirt issue. On September 18th I returned the tshirts after work. Barbara was not there but I left them with another lady who wrote down my name and number and the issue I had and told me Barbara would be in at 4 and would call me. Of course I did not recieve a call back. On September 19th I emailed her in the morning telling her exactly why I returned the tshirts and stated in writing that I wanted Anvil 50%/50% Heather Gray. I never received a reply. I called her in the afternoon (she answered) and told her I would be in the next day at 2:15 to talk to her about my order. She told me she would be there all day. On September 20th I went to her store at 2:15 and her employee said she just left and would be back in about a hour. He knew I was beyond pi**ed and showed me some tshirts but of course they were all 100% cotton, not want I wanted. I left an actual Anvil 50%/50% Heather Gray tshirt with a note saying this is what I asked for from the beginning and to call me. She of course did not call back. At 4:30 I called and she said she had some 50%/50% tshirts in stock and her employee was suppose to show them to me (which I did not believe for a second). I told her I would be in the next day again at 2:15 to look at her 50/50's. On September 21st (one week before my walk) I went in to see her 50/50 blends which were cheap and heavy and felt exactly like her 100%. I reminded her again what I asked for in the beginning and why (the suicide prevention walk passes out Anvil 50%/50% heathered tshirts and they are very comfortable). I was willing to pay extra for the right tshirts. And...remember she told me she could order them. I decided I was beyond done dealing with her incompetence and just took back the original incorrect tshirts and gave her $20. I owe her another $15 which I really should not have to pay because my order was wrong. I asked on a few FB sites back in July for recommendations to have tshirts made and 9/10 people said Barbara at Lake Natoma Printing and Screening. I will never ask for advice from local FB members again. I gave 1 star because the sizes and design on the back were correct. read more

My business has attempted work on several occasions with this company and has always had troubles working with Lake Natoma prints. Barbara has always been short and rude when dealing with us and has never expressed any form of appreciation for our business. It doesn't matter how early you reserve your shirts or cards or posters, they'll be there two days late. I recently got off the phone with Barbara who told me to come and get my shirts at 3, and I waited out front of the store for half an hour only to find out that the store was closed and she never showed up. Had one of the most horrible experiences here. I was waiting three months (contacted the company January 25th, 2019 and it is now May 6th, 2019) and my order still has not been received, and I ended up cancelling because it was just so frustrating. She initially said she was able to make my order in around 2 weeks, which was great, but then 2 weeks came around and no response from her. Week after week went by and she would always say that there was a problem with the order and that it would get done within a week. Each week went by and I would always be the one who had to contact her, and if I didn't she would not reach out to me to update me on the situation. My order was for 30 other members who were waiting patiently for their sweaters, and every week I would tell them that their sweaters were coming because that is what Barbara told me, only to have to tell them that the order was being postponed another week. Horrible communication. After months of this cycle, I had to call her again, only for her to tell me that they actually can't do the sweaters, and that over a 3 month time period, she only made 2 out of 30. She was rude and short with me throughout this whole experience. When she told me she couldn't make the sweaters for me and I was expressing my justified concerns, she was insensitive and never once apologized for her lack of communication. The worst part, is that she knew that she could not make the sweaters since a week from when I was the one to reach out to her. So she probably never would have called me to inform me of the situation, and if I never called her then I would have still been waiting for the sweaters. Honestly, just buy your clothing on another website. It would probably be cheaper and a lot less of a hassle. read more

After being frustrated with our usual printing and design company for being unresponsive (we have a big conference coming up and we are in a hurry to get everything done before it gets down to the wire), I called Lake Natoma because of the previous review here. I ended up not giving them our business because of how slow they were to even get back to us regarding our project. I spoke with Barbara 2-3 times over the phone, she was rude and told me about how frustrated she was with her clients. I've been working with Barbara for a couple of years now on various orders for my company and she's consistently had the fastest turn-around time for shirts of any of the vendors we'd previously used. Easy to work with, gives great recommendations on products if you're looking to save money or get something with a little more quality. Honestly terrible. They have consistently been late on shipments, by days even. They also have told us the wrong pick up times, wasted our day trying to pick items up. Barbara leaves randomly throughout the day and her employees will not answer the door but will pick up the phone when we are right outside. The only reason I even keep returning to Lake Natoma Printing is because the print quality and prices are good, but now I'm done. Barbara is always rude and impatient when talking to me, and she makes me feel very low priority, almost like I'm annoying her with my business. She is knowledgeable about printing and I'll give her that, but she's so rude and unprofessional that it's just not worth it. I'd rather drive to the other side of town so I can deal with people who know what customer service is and what it means to be commonly decent and polite.
