I arrived the Lake Orion location after checking the posted hours of operation before driving over…read more The website and store signage both stated the location was open until 7:00 p.m. I arrived at approximately 4:50 p.m. Upon arrival, I was greeted by an associate who immediately said, "What is it that you need? We are closing at 5:00 today." I explained that my son needed a new prescription. The associate responded, "We can try to help, but we are closing at 5:00 p.m. We weren't going to open today because of the watermain break, but we did and closing early". I explained that the website said the store was open today despite the watermain break and no indication of early closure. The associate said she could try to help, but again, "We are closing at 5pm". When she asked about insurance information, I shared I would need to locate my card. She replied that I could look for the insurance card, but that they were closing at 5:00." I had also hoped to look at glasses since the posted hours and website indicated the store would remain open until 7:00 p.m., but instead I left abruptly due to the poor customer service and repeated comments about the store closing early. I felt as though I was inconveniencing the associate simply by coming in during the posted business hours. I was also told to come back tomorrow, which is not possible for me. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and because of it I will be looking for a different optical center.

I had surgery in April/May 2025 ( right away) and when i called them they told me that it was past 60 days and it would cost the $350. that my insurance would cover with additional $100 out of pocket. I already paid $341 out of pocket for my glasses that are of no use to me. They are very rude.. I will be contacting corporate asap.

Horrible! Ordered glasses, they took 3 weeks to arrive. A rude kid called me and told me they…read morewere ready. I went to the store on a Thursday at 1:49pm. Thursdays are one of the days they are open, and for pickup without an appointment. No one there. Store is closed. At random. No sign on the door my in the middle of business hours they are randomly closed. I called ahead of time too ensure they had business hours. From the parking lot, I called the number. Thursdays they are open. No, you are not. I left a message asking them to return my call when the store is actually open. I left and did some shopping and other errands, and returned about an hour later. 2:45pm. Still closed. Called the store from the parking lot. No answer. Left another message. No return call from either of the two messages. Went to the store on Friday midday. They were open. Several employees in there. I asked why they were closed at random the day before? Their responses. "Well we are all from different stores" "We should have been open" "We are open now, how can we help you?" RUDE. Not one apology for randomly being closed in the middle of the day on a Thursday. Not one. Excuse after excuse. Worst service I have obtained form any business in a long time. They made no accommodation (refund, discount, apology) for the store randomly being closed during business hours the day before. And, I had to drive half an hour each way to get there. 4 times, this is 2 hours of driving total. If you must go there - be sure to call ahead and talk to someone and make sure they will actually be at the location when you arrive. Don't trust their website, or their phone number when you call with the hours. That is if you must. There have to be better places out there then this place. Don't bother.

Avoid this eye care chain if you can. The eye exam was fine. Polite doctor. The problem is the…read moreservice. My wife and I purchased 3 pairs of lenses and 2 frames. The staff "assisting" us acted disinterested and irritated that we were there. Turnaround time for glasses was two weeks and I had to call to find out our glasses were in the office. We do not have complicated scripts. My wife had to leave without her glasses because there was a "post it" note on the case that stated the waterline (bi-focal line) was too high. They did not tell me that on the phone. They said it might still work. No it did not "work." So I received mine and my wife's went back for correction. Two weeks went by with no word from the store. So we called again. They were corrected & ready to pick up. My wife just came home without the glasses. I'm laughing because at this point it such bad service it is comical. The glasses were at another store in another town. They told her she could drive over there to pick them up. I think they beat her down because my wife told them to just ship them to our home - whoa. Can't wait to see or not see the end product. I can not in good conscience recommend Pearle Vision. There are so many eye glass providers out there reward good service from the moment you walk in the door to receipt of your lenses or glasses with your patronage.

If you happen to be a first-timer, don't worry. Just let them know when you enter the front door…read moreand speak with the person at the desk. There are locked doors that you can only be let into, after the check-in process. Tell them who you are and that you're a first timer. They'll need a form of ID so they can register that you visited. I don't believe it's an option to refuse. Once you get registered, you can go in and shop. Tell the person who comes to help you, that you're a newb (if you are) and they'll want to know a few things about what you're looking for. It helps if you do a little research before you go. I literally phoned a friend who has been going to dispensaries for a while. She explained the ins and outs about certain products and what they do before I went so I generally knew I didn't want to smoke anything and that gummies would be my chosen delivery mechanism. There are different types of processing they do, just like with food and drug processing that you should be aware. Solvents are used in some of the manufacturing processes, but you can get solvent free versions which is what I prefer. I found that the gummies are slightly softer and their flavor is much better in my opinion. I tried watermelon, cherry, and berry flavors (dark berry - looks blue) and the brand I decided to go with is solvent free. I mean, why put bad chemicals in your body when you're going with natural products like these? They cost a little more but in my opinion, they're worth it. I need to get back to the local store. This one is in Oxford. There's another that I went to for my first time over in Walled Lake. Both are excellent stores. The people at Oxford are very knowledgeable, friendly, and happy (go figure, lol!) They'll answer all your questions and they're very patient if they're not super crowded. If you're concerned about it being too crowded to get your questions asked and answered, call the store before you go to see how busy they are and tell them you're a newb and have lots of questions. They can give you an idea when is the best time and day of week to come visit. I'm heading over there soon, to replenish my stock. Hope to see you there!
