Apparently, the lenses were received but no frames! Apparently, the frames and lenses arrive separately and are assembled at the store..... REALLY? Never heard of that. I'll not be getting my glasses at MEIJER again. You should go elsewhere also. You might get your glasses in a timely manner. This is an update to the review posted earlier and my glasses were delivered today - September 21 - almost one month to the day from the initial order placed on August 22. Initially, I was told I should have my glasses in five to seven business days. My sales associate (Mary) said the late delivery is the fault of the company Meijer uses (U.S.VISION) for frames and lenses. Apparently, U.S. Vision did not process the order properly which resulted in the late delivery; something I've never experienced with Meijer Optical on previous orders. In this case, the lenses were sent, but not the frames! Strange! Today, Mary said the original frame order is STILL PENDING and if she hadn't taken alternate steps to resolve it, I would still be waiting. I suggested to Mary that a better order tracking system at Meijer might help. With an improved system, after a reasonable amount of time, a "Red Flag" would go up to start an investigation about why the order is late. Mary was trying her best to get this resolved but only after I waited weeks and had to call to find out why I didn't have my glasses - something the customer should not have to do. Apparently, I'm not the only order that fell through the cracks. Mary mentioned other late orders for the same reason (U.S. VISION). It appears to me that a joint order process review between Meijer and U.S. Vision might be warranted here to avoid this issue in the future. So, I received my glasses today, they fit, and the prescription seems correct, Mary was very apologetic, and I will return to Meijer in the future for my vision needs.
