Zero's Stars to Lake Point Lodge Warning!! Close your rental with receipt in hand always. My findings: Slick tongue Front Office Staff and liers. Understaffed Motel Lodge. Blatant Liars of in site plain evidence. Me: Are you in the middle of renovating some of the rooms. Ben Front Office: No. Yet In plain site: *Room with no bathroom door on it rented for full price. *Blue paint tape left on the door jams. *Sheet rock boards propped against the wall. *Chairs stacked and not stage for seating. *Rooms unoccupied and unrentable when room is requested by room number. * Rooms with plastic taped windows. Warning $$$$ Trumped up towel charges on your open credit card account when you don't check out. You are told to leave the key in the room and no need to check out. Ben Front Deck: Called me to say. There was not one towel left in the room. Those towels are very very expensive. Your credit card will be charged. (Due to CC left open by not checking out with receipt closing your room charges.) Me: That's not the truth. My girlfriend was sick all night and had up chucked and she used all the towels for clean up on the bed, the carpet, the toilet, and the bathroom floor. I promise you no one took your towels. There is no way I'm taking any towels in my car for a long ride home to a place where I have clean towels. Me: Why are you lying? Oh we didn't check out fully with closing our room rental and so now you want to tack on charges because everyone steals your very expensive towels from Pakistan. People me personally... I will never return to a place like this. New management is needed. Their business neighbors close by are not even in friendship with Lake Point Lodge which speaks volumes to me as a paying customer.

(Doesn't have to be romantic; can also be fun with girlfriends!) This is an absolutely beautiful 3-bedroom home equipped with everything you can think of for a good time: full kitchen, dining area, patio with BBQ grill, fire pit, plenty of tables and chairs, and we even saw hammocks hanging on some trees! The rooms can be individually booked, or you can book all three for your friends and family. The home sits on a vineyard, so you get to taste their delicious wines. In the dining/living room area, you have access to games and a projector that is connected to Apple TV, so you can project a movie on the wall! How cool is that?! DANIEL gave us the best wine-tasting experience we have ever had. His explanations were thorough and very interesting. It went beyond the "peppery notes with hints of berries" descriptions you usually get at wineries. He explained the winemaking process because he has done it all, from planting grapes to making wine. And he was very kind and patient with all of our questions. And up the hill a little bit there is another home that they rent as well, and if it is vacant, you get full access to the pool! Another thing I appreciated now during covid is that the entire home was very clean! No carpet in the rooms (which makes it feel instantly cleaner already), the sheets smelled of fresh laundry detergent, and the shower was spotless. The rooms also have beautiful wooden patios. And then in the morning, we got a delicious hot breakfast by Gunay! She was so sweet and hospitable. On a sad note, they no longer have the llamas or sheep. But it is still a great experience! Also, don't be scared when you are following the GPS to arrive here! It's literally in the middle of no where! In conclusion to my short novel, we will definitely be returning with friends and enjoy all of the amenities!

One member of our family got there a day before the rest. She felt as though we was tricked from the pictures. She was told no refunds. My aunt was so disgusted she nearly got back on the plane and flew home. The place from the outside had spider webs and dirt all over the place. Its seriously needs to be pressure hosed from the outside all over. This is only where the problems start. In my beach house cottage the power and stove went out. They stated its a DFI switch or something like that, nevertheless after having a "employee who can fix it." They couldn't find her, she went home. So I had to wait to finish cooking. After about 2 hours they magically came back on. This seems as though its been a ongoing problem from the way they made it sound. Another one of my aunts had to wait for her unit to be painted 3 hours past check it. Yes I said painted! Who paints a unit same day of check in? Well later I find out they had a squatter who wouldn't leave dying there. the place smelled so bad they had to paint it to remove the smell. They wouldve been better off not renting the unit till it was complete. My aunt had to try and sleep there with paint fumes and she has asthma. Lastly mother and I was hanging out till midnight. When it was time for her to goto bed, she discovers her unit flooded from the AC. Her Bedding was soaked. They did come and mop it up and give new bedding. They literally gave the new bedding to my mom. My mother is handicap, the guy claims he has never maid a bed before. My mother could've slipped or gotten electrocuted, the offered no help. Here is the worst part they offered a $50 discount for the trouble. Moral of the story is NEVER got there. They need new owners and management that gives a dam.

Sans concierge, the Bluefish Cove is a comfortable hideaway for those outdoorsy types who truly like to play outside. A convenient landing spot indeed...a quiet spot to enjoy a bottle of wine and listen to the crackle of the fireplace after a long day of sublime laziness. Blue Fish Cove is a simple no-frills kinda place located "off the grid" for those of y'all who don't want to be bothered... and it's a hop skip and jump away from Sac and SF. I mean REALLY shady! So to receive the level of hospitality, patience and professionalism along with a HUGE somewhat "funky" house was refreshing. My brother-in-law rented the main house and two cabins for a first annual Family reunion (16 of us). Clearlake holds a special place in the hearts of my husbands family so coming to the lake was a given. The main house is quirky and has plenty of room for a large family to sleep and hang out. Is it 5 Stars in a "SF Ritz Carlton"Way? Ah no. This is 5 Stars for Clearlake folks. The main house is old with a musty odor and the furnishings are far fancy but completely comfortable. Lots a large TV's, free wifi and newer kitchen appliances. Down side, totally not a good option for the elderly or handicap because there are lots of stairs. My 80 something parents-in-law had to stay in one of the small adjoining Cabins because the quantity of stairs in the main house just wasn't doable for them. The real gem is the fact that you're right on the lake. Yes it's got algae but look past the first 5 feet of shore and you'll see the true wow factor. There is a very large deck off the second story and .... WOW! The views were breathtaking. The outside "yard" is massive. Oh the parties that could be and probably have happened here were probably epic. And a tiki bar? YES! I loved that there is a Chavez Market right across the street so running out of or forgetting anything isn't a problem. It's a pretty nice market (clean, fresh produce and SAFE). We had a wonderful reunion here and even though there were a few restroom issues and the beds are like sleeping on clouds, and the cabins smelled like smokers stayed there, it's still a great place for a large group. Right on the lake ... Like RIGHT on the lake!
