ohhh my gosh. I am way overdue on this review because i was here back in December for my first time but THIS is how amazing this place and our experience was that I STILL dream of this memory and can't wait to one day return!! (FYI this review is just for the wine tasting. We didn't actually stay overnight here) We lucked out because we came just before the second (holiday) lockdown so no one else was there and maybe that was a contributing factor to being so well taken care of but you also know good people when you are presented with them. We were gifted fresh home made (DELICIOUS!!!!!) German cookies and some other sugar cookies. We got to listen to our own music and let our dog enjoy the scenery with us which included a beautiful sunset and a beautiful view overlooking a river with a swing to perch on. 10/10 would recommend. Just before we left, we asked for another great winery recommendation and they suggested Fults Family. We went the next day and loved that experience as well.

Amazing pond in front of the house.

Wow, where do I start. The staff is very accommodating, kind and cheery. The grounds are clean, beautiful and unique. I will definitely be coming back.

Hello to the entire team at Bed & Barrel, first and foremost from the moment we drove onto the property we knew we found a special place. Jake & Brewer welcomed us and we had a fabulous afternoon tasting the wines made on-site, feeding the sheep, llamas and rounding up the chickens. We had a wonderful evening enjoying grilling dinner on the patio under the stars, playing shuffle board and then unwinding in our comfortable well appointed guest room. In the morning we arose to a fresh breakfast and was able to enjoy spending time with the team. This is a must go to enjoy wine tastings, Pino Noir was superb and stay to enjoy a few nights or more. The views are incredible and an outstanding place to have a small retreat. We wish you the best to Greg, Jimee, Jake, Deana, Brewer & the rest of the team. Much love, Lori & Mark

    Is there a pool here?

Hi Kym, our neighboring property has a pool that is open to our guests. We are in the process of renovating it at the moment, and it has mostly remained usable during construction. I hope that all makes sense. Thanks for your interest in our… Read more

But we were racing against time to reach a supposed tasting room before 5pm. We shouldn't have worried. The owner/winemaker at Noggle pours his wines out of the garage of his house. We knocked on his back door and a short time later we were drinking truly amazing cabernet sauvignon. Noggle is a one-man operation, a delightful, low key, interesting operation with what seems to be a cult following among other Lake County wine people. Everywhere we went those in the know were either recommending we go to Noggle or sharing their rave reviews. It was all justified. Take the trip down the long, windy road to find this place. Support a small business, and a passionate winemaker making fantastic stuff!

What a pleasure to be the first to review this gem!…read more Let me preface by saying that it's possible that I'm a little biased... as an owner of our own small family winery, I actively seek out other wineries that are like us. Knowing what a labor of love such an endeavor is, I always want to support the efforts of the little winery. Biased or not....let me tell you this.... Michael Noggle is making some truly outstanding wines! We tasted two Cabs and a Sauv Blanc. All three were truly top notch wines. I can only believe that such great wines are the pay-off that comes when you single handedly participate in every step of the winemaking process, from the planting of the vines all the way to bottling, the way that Michael does. We visited a couple of the better known Lake County wineries on this trip and while we tasted some pretty good wines all around, none of them held a candle to Noggle! The tasting room experience is also the way I belive it should be... small and intimate (you're basically tasting in his garage) and filled with great first-hand information from Michael himself. So please visit Noggle. Support the little guy....and in doing so, bring home some really fantastic wine. It's a win-win situation!
