Very poor. I felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman. My dentist retired, and I needed a filling redone. They did x-rays without telling me the reason and tried to tell me that I needed $3400.00 of work. That was WITH insurance as well. I've been going to Lake Point for several years, starting at a Marietta location. It closed and I transferred to Acworth. Yesterday Dr. Ebid refused to further service me as I refused a fluoride treatment with my regular teeth cleaning appointment. He had previously tried to sell me this rinse several times. I thought I was the customer ordering the services I needed. A fluoride treatment has not been proven beneficial in all applications and can possibly have some side effects. I think it should be my choice to decide whether I want it or not. To say you no longer want this customer at al, Dr, Ebid made a loss of income to Lake Point.im gladly moving to a more respectful practice. read more

ZERO FLEXIBILITY WHICH IS ALL TOO COMMON WITH DENTIST THESE DAYS! SPEND THE EXTRA TIME AND FIND ANOTHER DENTIST! I had Dr. Harfoush look at my #3 tooth which lost part of a filling. I was immediately told that I would need a root canal & crown. I was in absolutely no pain or discomfort. I pleaded for a filling until I could get on my higher dental plan next year. Nope! Not going to happen. Zero flexibility. He gave me a referral to an endodontist. I chose to use a different one mainly for scheduling reasons. I returned to get my crown started and he seemed upset that I didn't use his referral and that I didn't want the metal filling adjacent to #3 replaced. So, after a cordial discussion, he asked me to leave. I didn't get upset with him, and he's a nice enough guy. Shout out to Crystal and Tiana! They're super cool, but Dr. Harfoush is only concerned about his bottom line. read more

Very little concern for the patient. In it for the money. I understand the need for cross training, but it would be nice to have been asked if it Was ok. Did increase my anxiety. Hygienist was friendly but Lacked compassion. If you hurt me at least stop for a second to let me catch my breath. And what about a cup of water to wash the bad taste away. Again, the dentist was friendly but lacked compassion. He seemed irritated that I said I'd have to wait to spend over $1000 . I understand I need the services, but seriously in this world today, how many people have to plan for spending that much. Even if I was ready to spend the money, the overall lack of concern for my comfort scared me away. I've had these types of dental issues in the past but received at least a basic cleaning. Not this time. What happened to getting a free toothbrush or dental floss. Now I have to pay $50 out of pocket to have my records transferred. I have been through the dental ringer with a lifetime of troubles with my teeth and bite, due to a childhood accident. I have had more dentists than can be counted on one hand. I have been to the bottom of the barrel, and people, this is it. Unless you are a die hard masochist like Bill Murray in The Little Shop of Horrors, I'd stay away. I went here upon recommendation of a friend...I no longer trust their judgement , I add. I had a loose bridge and wanted it reglued. Thats all. Nothing more. They performed a gum check, and I must say that it was probably the most painful gum check I had ever had. The dentist himself did it, and left me bleeding, where I had not been bleeding before. As far as the gluing of the bridge was concerned, he said he could do nothing for that because the tooth holding it was cracked (which it wasn't at all) and told me I should consider implants. !!!!!!!! Going for the big money, 2500 a tooth, straight out of the gate, with no help for todays trouble. The only thing they did do right was not charge me a thing. I told them to keep their referral, too. I do not need a referral from someone who knows nothing in the first place. I would not send anyone to this place, ever. In addition, I would not send anyone to their sister office, West Oak Dental, Marietta, because they put a temporary crown on my daughter, which fell off the next day, and then they did not want to give us an appointment, and THEN tried to charge for the reglue. Best dentist experience ever. The staff was friendly & extremely knowledgeable & fast. I felt like a huge crew was taking care of me coming in & out with whatever was needed; from x-rays to cleaning. Dr Harfoush was also very good doing a thorough exam & explained everything in detail. This has to be the most incompetent group... booked an appointment, was told that the wait was several weeks for Acworth, but that they could get me in at their "Canton" location, which is almost to Roswell. I drove all the way there this morning, taking off work 2 hours to find a rundown building that looks closed down. I called the number on the door and they informed me they told me the wrong location and that office wasn't open on Mondays. I can't imagine they can even find the teeth in your mouth if they can't verify what days their offices are open. Furthermore, the Canton office looks condemned so they are clearly not running a good business. read more

Don't go here!!! I used doctor Edwards. I was told I had seven cavities I never ever had ONE cavity in my life. My husband was told he needed crowns and has four cavities. I went in to have four of my """"seven""" cavities filled and she hurt my mouth so bad, I had swelling and loss of smile. After, I googled her I found out she told people they needed work that they didn't need. So I went for a 2nd opinion neither me or my husband has cavities!! I had a great experience with the whole team. The dentist noticed he had extra time after my exam and went ahead and got started on fillings. Which he did a good job on, super smooth. The fillings and crown I received here 1 year ago were done improperly and have to be redone. They have also caused further damage to the surrounding teeth. Both acworth and Marietta locations are awful they rush through everything and overbook appointments. You always have to wait at least 25-45 minutes. Not recommended read more

Update.... I visited a second dental office who advised me that Lakepoint dental provided me with two different xrays via email. One was for a childs mouth (my daughters) and the other xrays were for an adult. I'm not sure whose dental records I received but be aware as your records are not private with this dental office. read more

Do not go here. Listen to others and get a second opinion. They told me I had a mouthful (and I mean 10+) of cavities that I needed filled ASAP and wrote up a plan over $4,000. I went to another dentist and he said it looks good. There is nothing we need to work on. They also shaved down a couple of teeth to where I just have a very sharp point on one side and my real tooth is almost gone and ruined. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

I'm pregnant. I asked for an appointment for a routine cleaning. They insisted I needed a DMA form from my OB, totally understandable. What they didn't tell me, was they weren't going to abide by that form (that said no x-rays unless patient was having a dental problem), and they also don't tell you that they will completely waste the day you requested off work by not only NOT doing the cleaning, but by only doing x-rays and poking at my gums to tell me I need to come back for a cleaning. NO SHIT, SHERLOCK. That's what I came for. So they took x-rays against the form that I gave them, and scheduled me an appointment just to tell me to come back for two more appointments. I will dispute charges from my insurance company. I will never come here again and I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague. read more

I've changed my dentist to become part of the Lake Pointe Dental family and have been very pleased thus far. I live in Midtown and it's well worth the drive north to save money on dental, even with insurance! I have had a lot of dental work, but despise going to the dentist. I changed dentists after moving to Acworth. I have very sensitive teeth and was worried. I needed 2 crowns due to failing fillings from years ago. Dr Thornton was fabulous! She made sure I was comfortable even though I am a horrible patient! She is very thorough and I never felt as if my care was rushed. She took her time to make certain things were done correctly. I still do not love going to the dentist, but I know that I am in good hands and that every attempt is made to do things correctly and ease my pain and trepidation. read more

I agree with the previous reviewer. Stay away from this place! I and a friend of mine had similar experiences. All these dentists want is your money! Trust me, I've been to some very good dentists and these guys are horrible! I was told I need several root canals, re-treats and a filling. I went ahead and got the filling. Ouch! Dr. Ebid was very rough and my tooth hurt for 2 weeks! They wanted to use the most expensive caps for my root canals. My friend was told she needed 4 fillings, (she has never had a cavity in her life). She went to another dr. for a second opinion. Guess what? He said her oral health was perfectly fine! Wonderful office and team, My three kids and I have been going to that office since 2005, never had a problem, they take very good care of all of us, They are in network with my insurance which saved me a significant deal of money through out the years. Their billing lady is extremely knowledgeable, helped me on more than one occasion appealing some rejected claims and managed to get them processed. I strongly recommend them to anyone, specially if you need a lot of work and you have limited insurance benefits and resources, they always present more than one treatment options. read more

Please get a second opinion!!! They are unethical crooks!!! I scheduled an appointment for a regular cleaning. After multiple x-rays, I was told that I need a deep cleaning $870.00, to stop the gum decease I apparently had. Than came the dentist and told me that I have 6 cavities and I need a crown. I never got a simple cleaning I came for, but was given a 7 appointments treatment plan, that would cost $3700.00. I was in shock, I had a lot of staining on my teeth, my certainly did not expect to have a gum decease and 6 cavities. It didn't feel right, especially when my teeth do not hurt and my gums do not bleed. When I requested my x-ray records, they got very snappy with me. Well, I scheduled another appointment at a different practice just to get a second opinion. I had my appointment today. Hygienist cleaned my teeth and checked my gums with some meter and said my gums look pretty healthy. They had to do another free of charge x-ray, because my previous electronic x-rays were not clear. And after the exam, the dentist said I have NO CAVITIES!!!!!!! I asked her 3 times if she is absolutely sure. She stated that my old filings were large but solid and didn't need a repair. She recommended to use anticavity fluoride mouthwash, because 2 of my teeth are in a very early stage of developing cavities. She stated with fluoride mouthwash the teeth have the ability to reminerilize. I told her that the previous dentist advised me that I have 6 cavities. She was very surprised and repeated herself again that I don't need fillings and she is not going to remove a healthy tooth tissue to fill the cavity that is not even developed and can be prevented with a fluoride treatment. Please get a second opinion!!! Save your money and especially your teeth. I still can't believe they were willing to ruin my mouth with unnecessary fillings just to get $3700.00. I might be wrong, but I think my dentist's name was Edwards. I only hope other doctors or hygienists in this place are more honest and ethical. I saw a different dentist in this practice many years ago and he was pretty good. read more

Our family has been using Lake Pointe Dental for years and I've been very satisfied. Setting up appointments is easy and I appreciate having three ways to remind me of my appointment - text, call and email. The Acworth location has a small but cozy waiting room, with short wait times. The dental hygienists have been very friendly, although some are more experienced than others. Most of the dentists have been very pleasant. More specifically, Dr. Edwards was willing to listen to my concerns and work with me, something rare in a doctor these days. Dr. Lisin-Queen was caring enough to call me to see how my son was doing when he was having mouth issues. I recommend giving them a try. I think you'll be glad you did. read more

Unfriendly, impatient dental assitant. Didn't want to explain anything - only concerened about future work and money. I have panic attacks when I go to the dentist as it is so I had taken a pain pill to get prepared. She is lucky i wasn't in my right mind or I would have told her off right there in the office. I touched her arm when I was trying to get their attention to stop and let me swallow - she freaked out and ran out of the room claiming I had grabbed her arm??? Really??? I thought I was in the twilight Zone but it really happened.. Won't be going back... I ended up crying during the rest of my visit. read more

This place is a scam. I went the first time and they told me I needed 3 cavities filled. I couldn't believe it, but they are the professionals so I listened to their advice and got those "cavities" filled. 6 months later, I went for another cleaning and they told me I needed 2 more cavities filled, a crown, and a route canal. Now that was a red flag. I've gone to the dentist my whole life and have never had so many problems. I went to another dentist to get a second opinion and made sure not to mention what Lake Point Dental had told me. I was shocked to hear that I was all good and didn't even have one cavity. Just moved back home & had to switch dentist due to insurance. I had a filling that needed to be replaced.The front office staff & hygienist were wonderful. Dr.Lisin on the other hand was not. She was completely heartless & basically did not want to work on my teeth. I did not get my tooth filled, but instead was referred to a specialist. Granted I know I don't have the best teeth in the world due to childhood sickness (I've been at the dentist since I was 2), but she was not empathetic nor listening to me. I will not be going back & encourage others to find a better doctor. Lake Pointe Dental just wants your money. read more
