No working GPS or signal, and I had only booked this place on Expedia prior to my trip, since everything in Forks was fully booked. But let me just say... I ended up LOVING it! The cabin was spotless, cozy, and had everything I could possibly need... Fireplace, WiFi, kitchenette, fridge, TV... you name it! I especially loved all the windows that let in tons of natural light, and the porch out front was such a nice touch. The staff at the office were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even offered me an upgrade for just $15, which I really appreciated. The location itself was absolutely stunning... Surrounded by mountains and overlooking a beautiful lake, it felt like the perfect escape. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, this cabin is it. I was not disappointed in the slightest and honestly can't wait to come back. Thank you for such a wonderful experience! Washington is truly a beautiful state and staying here just solidified my opinion.

Rain Forest Resort Village has fireplace cabins and suites, Village Inn rooms and a RV Campground. They gave me a room with a balcony that had a gorgeous view of Lake Quinault. I enjoyed waking up to the sunset over the lake. The room was nice and cozy and the bed was very comfortable. Next to the front desk at Rain Forest Resort Village is a small general store that has pretty much anything you may need. There is also a gift shop and laundromat. The staff here is great and very welcoming. They pointed out a couple of hiking trails for me to do that were nearby. I was able to do the Quinault Rain Forest hike and the short hike to the World's Largest Spruce Tree near the lake. Lake Quinault and the Salmon House Restaurant are across the street from Rain Forest Resort Village. The downtown area of Quinault is just a short drive away. Merriman Falls isn't too far away either if you want to check that out. Overall, my stay here was wonderful and relaxing. You can't beat the gorgeous views of Lake Quinault from your room.

Divided light windows and pull-chain lights are all part of the charm of going back in time. But do pack a bathrobe for the morning, brrr! The mattress gave us the best sleep we had in a while, but if the sky is clear you might want to get up early or stay up late to do some stargazing. Maybe bring binoculars as well. We took the canoes out for a spin one morning (the lake gets windy and choppy in the afternoon but the morning was tranquil) and there are kayaks as well to borrow (included).

Everything was perfect - beautiful grounds (gardens), location (walk down to lake and in the Olympic National Park), and the views from the cabins. I think the photos on their website don't picture the cabins well enough (give them justice). All the cabins little interior details are historic and beautiful - cute curtains in every room, rag rugs, old fashioned light fixtures, etc. Also, they hit all the other important basic details -- clean, well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, and couch etc. In addition they gave you firewood for the fireplace. Plus they have paddle boards and kayaks available for your use. The Olympus cabin did have a screened in porch that I enjoyed. I also liked that it was in the gardens (lawn right out the kitchen door). Last thing to mention was easy unloading since this cabin is closer to the parking lot. Don't worry about it being close to the parking lot as it only holds about 6 cars. I never heard any of the cars coming or going. I did have to work one day and was able to use a hot spot. I was also able to watch Netflix from the hot spot. I would honestly like a TV, but can manage without one. Highly recommend this hidden gem and hope to come back soon.

We stayed in the cabin room and it had a fireplace and a partial view of the ocean. But the best part was the restaurant. The food, wine and service was amazing! We tried the flight of red wine and found one we really liked so we got a bottle. The menu changes with the season and what we had was so good. I highly recommend a stay here. Next time I'll stay on the top floor of the resort.

The only thing I don't care for is there are no hooks of any sort to hang your clothes on in the whole room. Especially, in the bathroom where personally an under the sink cubbie for the hotel robe doesn't cut it. The only 2 rods to hang things on are the towel rack in with the tub & toilet area, and the closet out in the main room. Very inconvenient. The outer portion of bathroom where the sink is, only has the cubbie. Initially that is filled with towels & bathrobes. The lack of a towel rack near the sink seems to be a growing trend at motels. What's with that? Otherwise, so far I've enjoy the in room Keurig coffee service and I'm impressed by the room's addition of wine glasses to the clear coffee cups & water glasses. The downside is the cups are a small 8 oz and I had to cycle twice for a decent amount of coffee. View great! Not sure the rest is worth it.
