We have our old asphalt driveway dug up and repaved by Lake Shore Paving, which was recommended by a driveway sealant company. We had called 3 repaving companies to give us estimates. One of them kept saying that they would come but never showed up to give us any estimates, the second one was a lot more expensive, and they never just answered the phone. It was always a recording and when they called back first thing in the morning, the woman always sounded very rushed. Lake Shore Paving is very different from any other contractor kind of companies; they always have a polite and consumer-friendly lady answering the phone. Both Ruth and Gina are very nice and helpful. I called them many times asking all sorts of questions before and after I sent back our signed contract. They were very patient and always found me the relevant answers. They were very honest in answering the questions as well. I was always wondering if they were related to the owner of the company. After the job was done, I found out that sure enough, they are indeed the daughters of the owner Ramon! However, not all children care about their parents' business. They sure raised their children right! I also learn that the son also works in the team, led by the father Ramon. There's a guy in the team who was very nice and sociable, now I suspect that he's the son. The most important thing is that they are efficient and on time, and the price seems reasonable. I don't know much about driveway, but it appears to have been nicely done. read more
