They have a nice covered patio where they had a live singer who was awesome. Not too loud and really talented. The service was a little slow and our server didn't interact with us very much but the food came out pretty quickly. It was all just ok, nothing to write home about. The Caesar salad was just chopped lettuce, a few croutons, a sprinkle of bagged Parmesan cheese, and a thick Italian dressing rather than Caesar. A crime that it was $15 but an even bigger offense that it was $8 to add chicken to a very mediocre salad. The coconut shrimp was good, we liked the sauces it came with. The kids chicken tenders were hand breaded and tasty. Probably not a place I'd run to go back to but I would visit again if we're in the area.

But waitor was curteseous. Got inside seating, food was good. I ordered veggie burger which had lentil patty and spinach atichoke dip which came with home made tortillas, drink was served in a unique tilted glass which was good experience. Food was served quickly and waitor was polite to check on me multiple times.

Food was made right away and brought out and hot and fresh. Condiments were brought to the table. The homemade ranch is great. Prices are really good for the amount of food you get. Burgers are amazing. Fried mushrooms and onion rings were so good. Fries were nothing special. The place hasn't been updated in decades but thats okay, thats what makes it special. Took me back to when we used to go there when I was younger. Will definitely be going back sooner.

She ate the whole burger. She loved it. I ordered (my usual) bacon cheeseburger. It has velveeta (squeeze cheese) and bacon bits. (Their burgers have that cheese unless another is requested). I of course added lots of pickles and onions from the table side condiment container). I added some mozzarella sticks to share also. Our other friend ordered the deep fried mushrooms to share. They were sliced portablella mushrooms....delicious with cocktail sauce. The owner is a very personable and friendly man that always checks to see how your food is. We always tell our friends about Heck's bar and will continue to go back everytime we're nearby.

Bird Creek really stood out on its own as having a unique classy, farmhouse style to it that just really set the mood for a good time & I was pretty obsessed with the luscious vines of hops gently swaying with the breeze! The waitstaff here is completely amazing, especially during COVID. The patio seating everywhere was so wonderful, and there was also tons of bar space as well. It's open, it's airy, and you can walk the grounds and check out their greenhouses while you wait, if you need to wait. A true farm to table! The food was absolutely spectacular as well! We got the charcuterie board, which we thoroughly enjoyed, before the bees descended and also thoroughly enjoyed haha. But the waitstaff said that normally the bees were not this "friendly," and that they were only really all up in our businesses because it had rained the day before. But our waiter quickly cleared the board away from us and redirected the bees away from the patio, which is just another testament to how wonderful the waitstaff is! Definitely try the miso portobello burger too! I'm not even vegetarian/vegan and it was honestly SO DELICIOUS! I'm still thinking about it days later! If I ever find myself in the thumb of Michigan again, I will DEFINITELY be stopping by here again!

Our server, Tanner, was genuinely kind and welcoming, which made a big difference. The table was set nicely when we arrived -- wine glass and water glass, silverware wrapped with cloth napkins on a side plate, and a candle lit off to the side. It felt thoughtful and perfect for a date night. We split the French Onion Soup to start, and it was delicious. Maybe a little pricey at $12, but it came with lots of cheese and bread (plus bread on the side), so it felt worth it as a starter. My boyfriend ordered a Long Island Iced Tea -- strong, but no complaints there -- and I got cranberry juice. Both drinks came out in the same glassware as the water, styled like cocktails, which I actually appreciated. No weird "different treatment" if you're not drinking alcohol, which is always a plus to me. We also did the Build-Your-Own Board, which was really fun, and Tanner was super helpful in guiding us through the choices. We picked Summer Sausage, Garlic & Herb Soft Cheese, Smoked Gouda, Fire Roasted Tomatoes, and Balsamic Onion Jam. The Fire Roasted Tomatoes were SO GOOD, and I usually don't even like tomatoes. They were soaking in olive oil (I think?), which had great flavor and paired perfectly with the bread and Garlic & Herb Cheese. I also really enjoyed the Balsamic Onion Jam, savory, slightly sweet, and a little goes a long way. Overall, everything tasted great. I was a little disappointed in the portion of Smoked Gouda compared to the soft cheese, especially considering some soft cheeses can retail around $30 per pound. If you're looking for the best value, you might consider a different cheese option. That said, extra bread was only $1, which felt like a great deal for the amount we received. We were honestly getting pretty full and almost couldn't finish it all. We were seated in the cellar area, which was okay, just a little small, and the music was pretty loud. Not ideal for a Valentine's date when you're trying to have a conversation. Random but important: the bathrooms were spectacular. Individual, spacious, very clean, nice sink setup, pump soap, automatic paper towel dispenser, and even a candle lit. Honestly, 10/10 bathroom experience. Overall, it's a really solid date night spot with great service and good food. Just a couple small tweaks (music volume and cheese portions!) would make it even better. We'd definitely come back.
