We came to Lake Street Pub for dinner on a Friday afternoon. It was crowded but we were quickly seated at one of their high top tables. The service was excellent. Our server was friendly and extra attentive to our 4 year old. They have some video games that were a big hit. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It was a beautiful day so luckily outdoor seating is still an option! Overall, the food was okay. I think our kid enjoyed his mac and cheese more than everyone else enjoyed their meals. I tried their special pizza with choice of 3 toppings. It was not the best pizza but it was not the worst. My husband ordered the whitefish fry. It was hot but nothing special. Also, we ordered the pub pretzel for appetizer and it was not too bad! They do have a a decent beer selection including some local breweries. This is a decent option for Boyne City. Nice views outside. Kid friendly. Outdoor patio with fire pit. Great service. Food was just sub par.

Clam Chowder. Not thick. Flavorful. Oyster crackers on side.

Ambiance. Sports bar = loud, loud, loud. Lots of sport decor. Regulars. Along water and beautiful location, but eyes are on the screens. Bright with lots of windows; many booths. Service. Nice but intermittent. F&B. Bar food is generally filling, and greasy. Nothing exciting, but met usual expectations. Of note. Lot and street parking. Loos clean and stocked. We visited off season, so I am sure this place must be different during winter season.

This is a sweet-spot right along the water with an awesome outdoor area for everyone to enjoy. On our visit, it was quite windy, which made the outdoor seating a bit of a chore, but was worth it to enjoy the awesome weather. The beer list is extensive, with some interesting local options and some national favorites. There was even some cool cider options that you don't see everywhere. If they still have the watermelon cider, it comes highly recommend from our group. Also, be sure to get the cheese curds. They are lightly battered and fried and topped with just enough sauce to make them super tasty. From all of our meals, it seems the best option was the fried whitefish; it uses the same batter as the cheese curds and is awesome. Second best option seems to be the ribs. I would skip the broiled whitefish (flavorless) and the grilled cheese burger (looks pretty, tastes bad).

I went here on a Monday afternoon around 7pm. For the time, it was really busy! We just got takeout so I can't speak to the interior dining experience, but overall the restaurant seemed nicely decorated and had some cool outdoor seating. I got the pub chicken sandwich with fries. The food was good but not mind blowing. The chicken was tender and juicy, but I feel like the sandwich needed a little something more. The French fries were delicious though! The fish fry was yummy and the Reuben was good too (lots of sauerkraut). The grilled cheese burger was yummy too (our groups burger enthusiast had no regrets). Overall, it was a good experience and I'd definitely go back here. I might try something other than the chicken sandwich next time though.

Local to Boyne - Smells like caramel and the taste is just as sweet with a nice whiskey finish.

Great seating options, we opted to saddle up to the bar! Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. They sold us on some new drinks too! Try Tango Crush - it's on tap!

A fun place for an apres ski dinner! We enjoyed burgers, nachos and sandwiches along with tasty drinks. A previous visit included a decadent mac and cheese! The table next to us was having fun with the ski shots - ask about it if you visit! I took a peek at the happy hour menu and it looks terrific! I'll definitely try it the next time we are in town.

A very industrial vibe with hints of old chicago. This creates a very open and bright atmosphere with some charm. I ordered the breakfast burger($13). This is 4 2oz patties with a fried egg, and some bourbon bacon jam. The patties are smashed patties and are an excellent quality of meat. The burger was very tasty. I also got some Onion Rings ($3) which were very good too. The Person I was with order a regular burger with Cheddar Cheese ($9). The patties are still 4 - 2oz smashed. She stated it was excellent! The service was very friendly. The took care of everything in an efficient manner. Overall a solid 4 star review. Would I return? Yes. I wouldn't go out of my way, but if I was in area I definitely would go again.

The food and service are great here. We really enjoyed the maple crack dip. I'm not the biggest fan of buffalo sauce, but this was not overpowering at all. It is also served with a good amount of tortilla chips, which is usually not the case at make restaurants. The nachos were good, but there wasn't enough chicken on it so I would probably just order veggie next time. We also ordered a specialty burger and it was pretty good. It was a nice environment as well. There were plenty of TVs to watch different games on.

Yes, as a…read morehometown local I'm a little biased for sure but there is something very genuine and honest about the Pub and the people there. No pretension, no putting on airs or trying to impress anyone, everyone coming as they are. You'll rub elbows with local blue collar and service industry people, trust fund kids, wealthy summer residents, everyday folks of all kinds etc. I think a lot of reviews here are from visitors expecting The Pub to be like the Perry Hotel or one of the more tourist oriented places that bends over backwards and caters to summer vacationers. One even mentioned threatening to "Go ski somewhere else" for not being coddled I guess, which I found hilarious. They also seem to mention food a lot. For what it's worth the food is pretty darn good here, though my experience is usually over some appetizers later at night shared with friends over a few drinks. Solid burgers, can't go wrong with the fish & chips and their cheese curds are surprisingly good, easily rivaling anything you'd find in Wisconsin. That said I've always seen this place as a bar first and a place to drink with friends that just happens to have good late night food too. The service is good and the people working are top-notch and good at their job, but sometimes the Pub can get a bit too busy as there's just not a lot of competition that truly rivals it downtown. That's what happens when barely anything is open late in the post-covid world and businesses seem to be closing left and right. If you can keep your ego in check you'll find a pretty rare and valuable thing here which is a local pub welcoming to anybody and truly reflecting the full breadth of the local community.

Second, the popcorn. The end. Now the bad news. Everything else. We are veterans restaurant/bar/cocktail lounge/ brewery patrons, so should've tuned into the fact that the place was empty at 7:30 even on a Tuesday night. My wife wanted a Chardonnay but was unfamiliar with one of them and asked for a taste. Seriously? What bartender sends a taste of wine in a shot glass with literally a quarter of that shot glass holding a "taste?" My wife had no idea what this wine was supposed to taste like so ordered a glass of Decoy, which was decent but quite overpriced. I ordered a Bellaire Brown out of the can which was cold & non-ruinable, thank God! We ordered a pizza with pepperoni, which used to be quite good here. Not anymore. As hard as it was to believe, in 8 slices there were NINE pieces of pepperoni. Total. We wondered if the kitchen was instructed to only use one piece per slice & maybe an extra one got slipped in by mistake. The pizza was undercooked, crust was tasteless, cheese bland, and sauce was not close to Italian. Maybe Contadina with a little oregano thrown into it. If you're a fan of Red Baron or other frozen pizza, stick to that because it's better. The best part of the pizza was the red pepper flakes we buried it with. I don't know if the new owners are cheap, unaware of why this place was once popular and populated, but we shan't be back soon. And from other recent reviews and the lack of crowd were not the only ones. Sad.

I thought the chips were a bit chewy (stale?) and the beer cheese was a notch above baseball concession stand nachos. I would have thought with the beer cheese we might have gotten a paper plate to eat over, but no. Instead, we simply put napkins on the table to drip over. Beer here was ho hum.
