This review is really about the happy hour! AleWorX Reno has a pretty great happy hour with $6 beers, $6 well drinks and $16 one topping pizzas. I really enjoy the cold IPA, it's one of my favorites in the area. Also the wood fire pizza is delicious. The patio is wonderful, but can be a bit hot in the summer if you end up in the sun. Overall I highly recommend this for happy hour which is M-F 4-6pm

While walking down 4th Street for the first time in a long time I couldn't help but notice the rooftop terrace. We had to check it out! I wasn't aware that this Lake Tahoe AleWork wasn't self serve beer. That is totally fine by me. We had a good time talking with KATE, I think that was her name! She was very friendly and told us about the bands playing next-door that evening and also the DJ that was upstairs. Wow, three flights of stairs to get to the roof, fine by me, I love my exercise! We didn't stay long, but stayed long enough to enjoy our beverage, sit by the fire pit and take some good snaps of Reno and the horizon. Good spot!

Stopped in for the first time for quick drink and a bite before heading to the Aces game. We opted to sit upstairs on the patio. It had plenty of seat in and was refreshing. The staff was quick to bring us menus while making friendly suggestions. We opted for the nachos with chicken. They were huge and had all the fixings. Chips were crisp and fresh. It was a good portion for the price. The hubby had the stout & I had a hazy both on happy hour for $6 bucks on draft. We enjoyed both and had another round before heading off. We definitely will return to explore the downstairs beer menu as well since I upstairs had a limited amount of beers.

French dip! Not bad. Didn't ask for horseradish which is what it needed!

The food was good for bar food. The service was not good at all. Had to get our own box and go find someone to pay with. Wasn't even that busy. The rooftop was the vibe. Chill music. Good variety of drinks. Will be back.

Tried Lake Tahoe aleworx for the first time a few weekends back on a chilly Sunday with our main goal of watching football with a leisurely Sunday beer. The cocktail and beer menu was plentiful, but we were also impressed with the wonderful menu options and large woodfired oven next to the bar. We tried the nachos and wings and loved the flavors of both of the them. The wings were crispy and had an excellent, not too salty or overdone dry rub & The nachos were plentiful and a good sized portion, The building itself has been beautifully updated and opens up to the Alpine event center. We didn't venture outside or upstairs to their rooftop bar on this chili, January Sunday but looks to be a one of a kind rooftop bar in the downtown brewery District. Lake Tahoe AleWorx is a beautiful addition to Reno's downtown brewery district adjacent the other great tap rooms in the area.

My husband and I visited for brunch and although the menu and hours they had posted online were different than the actual restaurant, we had a great time! We did the bubbles and brunch for $40, which honestly is a price that can't be beat! We had two entrees (avocado toast for me and waffles for him) and a bottle of bubbly with juice. Both were great, but not warm, which was kind of a bummer. I would have also liked to see them use something other than packaged syrup, which was also cold. I can't wait to come back when their rooftop is open, because that's what truly makes this place special!

We have been eyeing the rooftop patio of the new Lake Tahoe Ale Worx location on 4th Street since it opened and had the chance to stop by recently! We ordered and ate food in the downstairs restaurant area. Our server was friendly and prompt with our items. We started with some well cocktails and beers from the beer wall since it was happy hour. We also ordered the potato skins and The Pera Specialty Pie - both were delicious! After we ate, we headed up to the rooftop patio for a chill and were blown away by the layout, amount of seating, and the (second) full bar and wood fired oven ready to serve all the guests dining on the patio. Overall we had a great experience and can't wait to come back!

I came here for happy hour and was overall happy with my experience. I would say that the happy hour menu was a little confusing and our waitress didn't really seem to understand the menu either, but I just thought it was because they were a newer restaurant. When we came back for happy hour a month later, it was the same waitress and service was a little lackluster. She was on her phone a lot and we kind of had to flag her down, but overall, I think the quality of the food is great and a good spot!

    Nearly burnt pizza

Started off waiting for the host downstairs not knowing there was a separate host station upstairs so off we go to wait in another line. Once seated we ask what the house wine is, server had no idea, she didn't even know if the red was a cabernet, merlot, etc. Try to order a beer instead just to find out the beer selection is limited upstairs compared to downstairs, so I end up gambling with the unknown house red wine. Food was about average, nothing to write home about. My pizza came out nearly burnt, almost to the point of being sent back but the rest of the table had no complaints. The patio is a nice touch but be prepared for the typical Reno weather. It gets windy up there! Walking to the car after dinner was unsettling. Lots of not-so-great looking folks on the way back to the rear parking lot. If we do give this place another shot, we're definitely not parking in their lot.

Amazing Rooftop Experience -- Great Food, Service & Views The rooftop bar at Auburn Aleworks is absolutely stunning. The views are incredible, especially with the fire pit going--it created such a cozy, relaxing vibe that really took the experience to another level. We ordered pizza, and it did not disappoint. The flavor was amazing, and the crust was perfect--crispy, chewy, and clearly made with care. Pair that with the fantastic service, and we couldn't have asked for a better night. Lila did an amazing job. This is a must-visit spot if you're in Reno. We'll definitely be back!

We stopped in before an Aces game for drinks and a quick bite. The patio ambiance was really nice -- perfect for hanging out and socializing, especially on a warm evening. My husband and I split the bucket margarita ($26). It tasted fine, but the portion was surprisingly small -- more like a large coffee cup than a "bucket." We also ordered a pizza, but it was just okay. The crust was a little too burnt for my liking, and the sauce was pretty light, so it didn't have much flavor. We'll probably be back, but more for the drinks and the vibe than the food. Great spot to meet up with friends before a game, though!

To be fair, this rating is only for a few rounds of drinks before heading to an Aces game. The restaurant itself is very nice and feels super cozy. As this was our first time, we were trying to figure out the drinks menu. We asked our server for recommendations, but her response was that she couldn't really give any, because she had only been working there for 4 days. Honestly, she was running around doing her best, but probably could've used some help from a more experienced server. I also glanced at the menu and can understand the high prices/limited menu comments, however, I'll have to come try the food myself and give my thoughts at a later time. Giving it a 3/5 experience today.

Lake Tahoe Aleworx is famous for its IPA's and that's how I discovered the restaurant and event center. The Pizza and wings were excellent. The pizza comes in one size, medium which feeds 2 to 3 people. The wings came in 3 flavors Buffalo, sweet chili and barbecue. The waitress recommended to order them extra crispy. They were served super hot on the inside and crunchy outside. The area is called the Brewery District which is comprised of old Reno buildings renovated into breweries and restaurants. The area does have its share of sketchy surroundings so be alert. The service was great and friendly. The parking is street only. The roof dining area was also closed.

Regarding the food, the menu is notably inconsistent; for instance, the tots--which we generally enjoy when they are actually available--change in preparation method every time we order them. As for the pretzel, while the bread quality, flavor, and accompanying mustard were good, the portion of beer cheese was very stingy and tasted bland. We also ordered the buffalo wings, which, despite having good flavor, had a texture that felt like they were boiled from frozen and only briefly finished on a grill. Our drink experience was similarly average: I found the housemade shandy decent and the Tahoe Blonde enjoyable, while my wife's house Chardonnay was entirely unremarkable. The service throughout the meal was also underwhelming and felt our server was the only one causing king wait times for drinks etc.. While the two young gentlemen at the host station who assisted our waitress in bringing items to the table were pleasant to deal with, the overall quality of service remained unenthusiastic. We keep returning with the hope of a better experience, but it continues to be a 'meh' visit.
