We arrived and were told it would be a 25 min wait totally fine our party hadn't arrived yet. 12 min later we were seated the waitress was lovely explaining they ran out of cups (the table next to ours had like 25 people) totally understandable we got our waters in plastic cups no biggie. One of our party members was running late but she still came up and checked on us. Finally we ordered and waited our food came out four in our party ordered burgers, two ordered Ceasar salads including my self and one got the steak the entree of the day. She refilled our drinks promptly dispite the restaurant being busy. We enjoyed our time here quite a lot and would definitely come back!

Came here for dinner with some friends and had a great time. We started off with some appetizers which I thought were good for the most part. The pretzel with the cheese sauce was good and their garlic fries were good. My husband ordered the French dip which was delicious. I tried their Pick Me BBQ platter which was really a disappointment. I ordered the pork belly, ribs, and jalapeño cheddar sausage. It also came with pickled red onions, sliced pickles, and garlic bread. All 3 meats that I ordered were definitely dry and tough. Pork belly especially is supposed to be juicy and tender, and mine I had to cut with knife. I did like the flavoring on them, but I just couldn't enjoy it because it was so dry. I think coming for a burger or sandwich might be better because I did enjoy the French dip better. Service was ok. Didn't really see our waitress until towards the end of the meal.

I've come here a few times to grab lunch since it's super close to my work and I've never been disappointed. The food is always fantastic! I got the Cajun salmon salad and it was delicious! The service was a bit slow to start but was great after we got our drinks. It was extremely loud in there but that place is always busy so I don't expect anything else. They have a great menu selection as well as alcohol selection. Never have a bad experience here!

Came in for lunch and had a great meal. The green pepper burger was excellent. John was a great server. I tried a new orange pale ale that was really light and crispy. Fast yummy lunch here!

Man, every time I come here it's either great or poor, and this last visit was subpar at best. The service was great as a starting point, but outside of that we had a poor experience. From walking in and smelling the same cleaner they use at the dog kennel is not a great intro to a food establishment. But we brushed that aside and tried to enjoy our dinner. Drinks were prompt but the food didn't taste right, and that was for our entire table. I don't really know what it was, I wish I could pinpoint it but both the burger and patty melt were off and all 4 of us didn't eat more than half our meal, which is disappointing for a dinner out. I'll just leave it at the fact that I won't be coming back anytime soon as there are better options with better quality and a better smell and ambiance.

One of our usual haunts as we like to sit at the bar and eat our meal. Tonight we went with mom as she wanted to share a pizza. It is usually exactly what we ask for, good bar food, good beer and drinks. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Monday night burger and a beer is a good deal. Always a special - just depends on the night. Tonight my burger was well done - ordered medium due to training a new chef. Manager comped the burger and our beers. Very receptive and apologetic and not indicative of the quality of food we usually get. I would recommend Great Basin a thousand times if asked. Always good service, food and beer!!

Ellie was an amazing server! We came in with a huge group (I think 15!) and she was on top of it. Food was great, but Ellie really completed our experience, she deserves lots of praise !!

I really like the Truckee River red here. Excellent beer and I had fish and chips with garlic fries and coleslaw. All very tasty so I'll be back especially for that Truckee River red and I appreciate the waitress explained to me the difference. The server was angel M nice person good server.

We haven't been here in quite some time but a friend chose coming here. They liked the beer. The food was good. They have HH during the week so we will try that. Overall it was pretty tasty

Relaxing sports bar with great food and atmosphere. The wait staff was kind and attentive. The patty melt was fresh and juicy. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

A friend and I stopped in for dinner on a Sunday evening. We were promptly seated and asked what we wanted to drink. Soon our server was there to take our order. My friend ordered the Honey Jalapeño Chicken salad..... it is a favorite. I ordered the salmon bowl. I asked our server her take on the dish and she said it is her favorite. Our food came out quickly. The Honey Jalapeño Chicken salad was full of greens, tomatoes, onion and cucumber. The dressing is served in the side. The chicken was very good and compliments the salad well. The salmon bowl was excellent! Nice piece of of salad on top of brown rice, edamame, red onion, carrot, cucumbers, ginger, avocado and cilantro. All of the different items blended so well. The aioli was served on the side. It was a bit too spicy for me, so that was a welcome thing!l We were checked on throughout the meal It was a great experience! The server also said the crispy fish tacos were another favorite.... Can't wait to try them!

Had a great lunch today...no wait...great drinks,, food and service! Will definitely return.

Decided on Great Basin Brewery for this evening's dinner. It was Saturday night without a reservation so we had a short wait but not more than 5 to 10 minutes. The place was full and bustling and everyone appeared to be having a great time. We were seated in the corner which we like to watch the room so it was perfect. We ordered drinks, vodka tonic, lemonade, soda which were served promptly. We decided on jalapeno bacon poppers and chicken nachos for appetizers. We ordered the half appetizer of nachos which was more than enough for three people and were served six generous size jalapeno bacon poppers which were really delicious and not spicy. For our meals we tried the Thai chicken pizza which I have enjoyed at other places and wanted to try here, the chicken sandwich with side Caesar salad and barbecue bacon burger with onion rings. The Thai chicken pizzas really good with a sweet peanut sauce. The crunchy toppings and the sweet sauce versus the chicken and cheese made a perfect compliment. It also has cilantro on it so if you don't like cilantro beware there is a lot of it. At first I thought it was Thai Basil but no, it was cilantro which I love so it was good for me. The chicken sandwich was thick and juicy, really delicious and the Caesar salad was just a perfect size. The bacon barbecue cheeseburger was really good and served to order but the sauce was a little bit acidic. I guess we expected a sweeter sauce but it was overall a very good sandwich. No room for dessert. Our server Maddie was very pleasant and attentive and checking on us continuously so kudos to her. Enjoyed the vibe and the food. There are of course craft beers but we did not enjoy any this evening. Great place. Had not been there in a couple of years but will keep it in mind in the future.

Haven't been to this location in a while. Went with my parents and my daughter. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit inside and it was a tad loud because of the football game on but not at all anything to complain about. We got the beer battered zucchini sticks and they are definitely the best in town. I got a cup of the beet cheese soup and a pepperoni pizza. My daughter got a side salad and the fish and chips. My soup was good but my pizza was a little over cooked. My daughter loved her fish and chips.

Yes, we do have an outdoor seating area. It will be set up when the weather gets warmer, but it is not dog friendly. But our Sparks location has a patio that is dog friendly!

What is with the added fees for certain beers? A random upcharge for beers that are already a but overpriced? what's the explanation?

The added fee is based on the ingredient list. To make beer with an exciting and distinct flavor, we have to purchase ingredients like fruits, specialty hops, and unusual grains or herbs that may have a higher cost. Craft beer is also made in small… Read more

Not sure if it was because it was a Sunday or if they have limited the menu. The flatbread with the roasted garlic had good flavor on it. We had chicken sandwiches that were good and they gave a lot of onions rings with the split plate. So bar food wise it was good, but not having their entrees like before would limit me from thinking of the Depot for dinner versus lunch or happy hour. Drink wise, my friend had a whiskey cocktail that was quite good. I had a grapefruit agave seltzer that was refreshing. Service was unfortunately a little slow even though it appeared to not be that busy, but the manager did come out to help.

Regarding the food, the menu is notably inconsistent; for instance, the tots--which we generally enjoy when they are actually available--change in preparation method every time we order them. As for the pretzel, while the bread quality, flavor, and accompanying mustard were good, the portion of beer cheese was very stingy and tasted bland. We also ordered the buffalo wings, which, despite having good flavor, had a texture that felt like they were boiled from frozen and only briefly finished on a grill. Our drink experience was similarly average: I found the housemade shandy decent and the Tahoe Blonde enjoyable, while my wife's house Chardonnay was entirely unremarkable. The service throughout the meal was also underwhelming and felt our server was the only one causing king wait times for drinks etc.. While the two young gentlemen at the host station who assisted our waitress in bringing items to the table were pleasant to deal with, the overall quality of service remained unenthusiastic. We keep returning with the hope of a better experience, but it continues to be a 'meh' visit.

That was actually a good thing because they were a good compliment to eat all together. It was more than enough food for 2 people and everything was delicious. The stuffed Avocado salad was interesting and it was delicious. The fish and chips were good, the fish was more of a tender which was actually nice because it wasn't greasy. Cut and pasted from their website: "Slieve means "A…read moreMountain" in Irish Gaelic, their family roots." Quality/Quantity - Been an extremely long stressful day! So I NEEDED a break from the day to just relax and stop thinking! I gave my wife a few options, a few breweries to choose from (or for me to just go alone, which she would not have let me drink and drive, especially all the way from North Reno). So she/we chose to go to Slieve as I have not been there yet. Actually, all 3 choices were breweries. The good news is that there are more and more new breweries opening. The bad news is that there are more and more good breweries closing, in ALL my hometowns... My first time in a nano brewery; cool. Today I got (and tried the following), all Slieve brands; support local: Oh, I did not know you had a happy hour M-F from 2-5pm; I just missed it by 13 minutes... Should not have spent so much time outside taking pictures for Yelp, lol. Pale Ale - Good, but I prefer more flavor. This is currently my second "go to" beer after reds. Jimbo Porter - Better, but then I tried the Cookie Monster! I also did not taste the coconut. Cookie Monster - My favorite of the beers, so much flavor. And I am NOT usually a sweet beer drinker. It was not an overwhelming stout, probably due to the sweetness, but you can definitely taste the chocolate and slightly coffee and caramel flavors. I would get this again, but it would always have to be my last beer due to the flavors. Beers that I need to come back for when available are: Your reds, IPAs and of course your "Trinity Tripel." Ambiance - On your "about" page on your website, it says you are still looking for a home for your brewery...? Is that accurate or does that page need to be updated? Cool space, indoor and outdoor seating. Bar and table seating. 2 bars, one the back, probably only used for events. Semi private room when you walk in. Ping pong, darts, games, cornhole, cool decor on walls throughout to read, etc. Open 7 days a week, see their website. Yelp's hours/days differ slightly. Event spaces are available; see their website.. Service - Good. We were also greeted by Shannon when she and Phillip came in later for a drink or two... Phillip was too busy drinking to say hi, lol. Price - $8 a beer. The typical cost for good craft beer. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2022 with your nanobrewery; I wish you the best and am glad you own the building to help you weather some "storms."

It was fun to sample Girl Scout cookies and taste beer. We started with 6 tastings but they threw in a couple extra. The event was well organized and the Girl Scouts were there to sell their cookies. I was a Girl Scout 50 years ago. I think a box of cookies was $1.00 - $1.25. I paid $7. Times have certainty changed.
