My group came in to order a few beers and appetizers-- the chicken nachos and the fried pickles were great, but jalapeño burger was meh, it just didn't have a whole lot of flavor for how it was described on the menu. The menu lists certain specials but it didn't really seem that special. They have options for a pitcher or bucket of beer, which if we did our math right, the pitcher was significantly cheaper. Figured we'd stop in to try this place out before going to the symphony on UNR campus, since we don't typically frequent places on the north side of town. Smaller, comfortable place with several tvs mounted for sports. We sat at the bar, which was clean. One of the two bartenders seemed to be hustling and was pleasant. The other was honestly a bit rude or too sassy, in my opinion. We were ordering a couple food items to share and when my date went to order them she completely dismissed speaking to him, stating she tends to ladies first. While I appreciate the sentiment, she should not have assumed we didn't already have that worked out on our end. Honestly it seemed like she was having a tough night, making several statements of how busy it was and seeming openly stressed. The food: we ordered a pizza and onion rings to share and both were very good!! Would we go again? Absolutely! Hopefully it was a tough night for the staff. Stopped in to grab a quick bite and a beer before heading to the orchestra at UNR. Typically, I like to sit at the bar when I try out a new place as it gives me a better idea of the character of an establishment. It was a fairly busy night by my observations. Apparently, there were some coaches and staff from the UNR football team celebrating their victory that evening. The staff took a bit to recognize us and take our orders. Once they did, they let us know it would be a bit. One gal seemed fairly stressed. The other, younger bartender was chill and happy and working hard. We ended up with the stressed server to take our orders and when she asked us what wanted (we were all ready with our order) I began to tell her what both of us were drinking...she rudely interupted me and stated, "what does the lady want?...ladies first" I paused for a moment and gave her a look. I wasnt in the mood to set her straight so I just changed the order of what we wanted and moved on. But, I was taken a bit back, what she did was not appropriate. Im all for ladies first but dont be so abrput. She went on after or drink order about how good their pizza is and that it's the best in the Reno area. I let her know that I would be the one to determine that. Once I told her that I was Yelp Elite...her tune changed and she began to become appolgetic for her commments and behavior. We were planning on ordering the Pizza anyways. And once it arrived, it looked good and tasted good too. The best in Reno. Naw. But not bad at all. So pleasantly surprised by this place. Thought it would be a college bar experience but everything far surpassed my expectations. Clean and bright inside. Food was fresh and delicious. Stopped by to grab a drink and a bite to eat. Despite the snow, both the bar and kitchen were open and ready to go! We ordered a 6 piece chicken tender, 2 fries, 2 Caesar salads, and a Paloma, and a Lemon Drop. All were cooked to perfection, and the salad was tossed amazingly with the dressing coating everything evenly. The presentation was nice as well. Ordered takeout from here and it was good enough to make me want to come back to dine in! I got the jalapeño burger and fries. They had many burgers to choose from but I was feeling something a little spicy. It was delicious! The burger itself was large, had plenty of toppings, and the patty was perfectly cooked. The fries were still crispy and not soft despite being takeout. My friend got some apps and we really liked those as well, especially the fried pickles! Prices for everything were very affordable. The service started off really good and it went l down hill extremely fast. We had a group of 13 people with a toddler and the waitress was extremely over whelmed. The order was taken and then when they started bringing out food she couldn't remember who ordered what. Then our toddler was the last one to get his food by almost 30 minutes and they couldn't be bothered to come and refill our drinks. The worst part was when it came time for the bill. We needed to split and you would have thought we all had two heads. When there was an error instead of handling it calmly she panicked. Then instead of fixing it she started arguing with one of our guests and then proceeded to go to the bar and talk crap about all of us where we could hear. Good thing there was automatic gratuity. My boyfriend and I live within stumbling distance and we finally came to the Wolf Den. We just had a wonderful evening. Our bartenders were Nicola and Vinny, and they were so hospitable, and made us feel so welcome. For drinks I had a Moscow Mule and a few Lemon Drops and my boyfriend had some beers. Great vibe, and such a great place for locals and visitors alike. We had their Margarita Pizza, and chicken tenders. They have an extensive and very creative menu, so we will be back many times to try all of their options. I love that they have a cocktail menu. Great place for watching sports! The place is new. It just opened. It was a mini market before. It's big with about 85 seats and many televisions for watching sports. The owner and staff were friendly and the food came out fast. I was the only one there at lunch time. The menu is limited to mostly chicken wings and pizza. No hamburgers. I had the chicken tenders. They seemed to be air fried. They were crispy on the outside and tender inside. Properly cooked. They had a special offer that included a drink. I went to try this place with my family when they recently opened. It is a brand new place and very clean. Everyone was very friendly. We tried few different items on the menu and kids had pizza which they loved because it made exactly how we ordered. We have gone back a few times and everytime we had great experience. Last week I decided to take my whole team as a corporate event for lunch. Everyone had great experience. We were a total of 15 people and they worked very efficiently to bring our food in timely manner. We have gone there on Friday for DJ Trivia and it is so much fun. Everyone enjoyed happy hours and great service. Now they have added sandwiches and the owner was telling us about adding burgers to the menu. They have been working hard and their menu has so much more now. We will definitely continue to go back. If you are a college kid, this place might make sense, but if you're an adult in your mid 30's and above looking for good food, I would not recommend this place. My husband and I came here tonight for pizza after our regular place was a 1.5 hour wait for za. We figured we'd try it! It was at best similar to jacks or tombstone frozen pizza. Not good. The garlic bread was the only thing that tasted really great! It was light, airy, and crispy. It does not come with dipping sauce so make sure to ask ahead for it. We got marinara brought to us after our pizza came out. We didn't order anything else beyond pizza and cheesy garlic bread. We also had two beers. Those were good and very well priced at $7 each. Overall, I might only recommend this place for beer and the cheesy garlic bread. The service was okay given the situation. There was one bar tender serving the entire restaurant and bar. For the size of the crowd, I will say he did an amazing job. He never once stopped moving and tending to guests! He was also communicative. read more
