Hosting 24 lanes, an extensive menu with food service directly to your bowling lane, and an arcade and billiards room, this is one of my favorite small-town bowling alleys in America. Opened in 1962, it's hardly changed, a throwback to yesteryear with late-night bowling, unintentional old-school decor, and simply a classic piece of Americana on Highway 70. What they won't tell you is that you must establish your name and a game of bowling on the touchpad by each lane before the pins will illuminate, so keep that in mind.

The roadways are all gravel, and there is a large area with long-term residents who are seriously there permanently with roofs overhead and in some cases buildings built adjacent to their campers. Pretty lake in the center, and I like that they have cabins in certain areas as well so you can visit with non-RV friends and family. Decent general store/gift shop. On site chapel. A campground host makes daily multiple rounds throughout the area in a SxS, insuring order is maintained and is happy to welcome all. Setting right on the lake, they offer kayaks and pedal boats for their customers as well as a sandy beach for the kids. The little store stocks simple amenities such as ice, firewood, ice cream, t-shirts, and some basic camping supplies. Overall a very pleasant experience whenever staying here.

Called the golf Capital of Tennessee, we see many retirees coming into this area! It did drizzle on us but shucks we were all in swim wear . Boats were well maintained and not difficult to handle. We did stop for a swim after the rain. Wonderful time, good friendship, dancing aboard the pontoons. We brought our own music on board to enjoy!
