I just moved to South Florida from Connecticut and brought my kayak with me in hopes of seeing some wildlife. My boyfriend doesn't have a kayak of his own and suggested we book a rental with a tour guide to show us around - I am so glad we did! Misty and her super cute canine, Abu, were the most amazing tour guides ever. Before our arrival, Misty kept in contact with excellent communication. She provided quality rental equipment, and not only did we feel very safe the entire time, she is an expert at spotting wildlife. The Peanut Island paddle was suggested for us - we were so blessed to see an abundance of manatees floating under us, a stingray, a starfish so big I almost called the Guinness Book of World Records (haha only half-joking!) and plenty of beautiful birds, lizards and fish. The excursion took about two hours and we never felt rushed at all, although it was just the right amount of time before we started to get a little tired. Can't thank Salty Dog Paddle enough for this incredibly special and very memorable experience. Misty was even thoughtful enough to take photos and videos for us which she sent after - she really was the best part of this experience for us!! Highly recommended!!!

The man came to get us to move and my father asked if he could pay his bill first because he got a soda. The man replied "what...is that going to be another 15 minutes?". There was plenty of room for other boats. The man then proceeded to UNTIE our boat while my father was paying. Thankfully it had not drifted. The attendant had a beard and was extremely rude to my father who had just spent over $700 on fuel. Horrible customer service, I was appalled!

Supposedly owned some high end luxury marine group out of SC who doesn't even manage it properly. All they did was Jack the rent, change the name (from PGA Marina) and offer complimentary water out of a lemonade dispenser and free sunblock . Service and speed have ALL DIMINISHED ! They have jacked everybody's rent up probably 30% since they bought it and reduced the quality of service and availability of boat launch times. On average when it comes to weekends, the launch window can go from 1 to 3 hours in minutes. So you're paying over $1000 a month to store your nice center console boat and you have to wait three hours for them to launch your boat on a Saturday or Sunday. Yet if you drive up to the marina and watch for 20 minutes , all the dock hands and forklift drivers are not even busy and there are only a few boats in the water when they claim on the phone a minute ago that they are "slammed launching boats " Under previous management you could walk up to the marina and have your boat launched within 20 to 30 minutes without a problem at all unless they were exceptionally busy which was understandable. Management is intentionally slacking off big time hiding behind and taking advantage is alleged new "corporate rules " that define launch times and headquarters in SC could care less . They're probably going to flip and sell the Marina, tear it down and develop condos once the owner figures out how to payoff the corrupt City of PBG council members , and the workers probably know it .

I found it by parking in the parking lot for Kagan Park and walking along the Lake Walk at Pelican Lake. When I spotted this walkway and sign, getting to go to the beach was just icing on the cake as part of a lovely park experience. The walkway from the access point sign to the actual beach is kind of long, but it is fully fenced on both sides, so very safe for little kids to skip along. It was exciting to hear the ocean waves become louder and louder as we got closer. Sweet anticipation! The path is fully paved with a very gradual incline, which is great for strollers and wheelchairs. At the end, a few stairs go down onto the beach area, but the water is full in view from the top of those little stairs. On the beach we found a couple of kite boarders setting up, but overall the beach was pretty quiet and private. I would definitely visit here again as part of a larger hangout involving Pelican Lake and Kagan Park.

The 17-acre Palm Beach County park is located on the east side of the Intracoastal Waterway just south of Donald Ross Road. In 2018 Bert Winters Park received two million dollars of upgrades to its boat ramps and trailer parking to keep up with the increased demand of Palm Beach boaters. New boat trailer parking spaces were added, existing boat ramps were renovated making them less slippery, and a new restroom was added. In order to use the ramps you need to purchase a permit on line. The ramps are open every day from sunrise to sunset, no overnight parking. The park also has a baseball field, a multipurpose field, picnic area, playground, and two tennis courts. It is also the home of the North Palm Beach Rowing Club. If you are looking for a park with water access and you have the permit, this is a great place to put in your boat.
