We purchased a vehicle out of state and needed to get in NC inspection ready. On our way home from the car dealership, the check engine light came on. A google search revealed an outstanding issue on this vehicle with emission system fume leakage. We brought the car to Lakepoint for diagnostic testing expecting the possibility of a large repair bill due to the nature of the codes. The fine folks at Lakepoint thoroughly inspected the vehicle and found that a hose above the gas tank had not been correctly attached. They made the adjustment and the check engine light went off. We did need a tire air sensor replaced as well. We appreciate Lakepoint's honesty and fairly charging us only for what was actually needed to be done. Love this place! We take all of our family vehicles there. They always explain what you need and don't need and give you options. They don't tell you that your car needs something it doesn't! They don't do repairs you didn't ask for! If they find something else, they call you and ask if you want it done. I got my old car to almost 190K miles with them, and when it was going to cost more to keep it than it was worth, they honestly told me that rather than just keep working on it and charging.
