Service was nice and pleasant Aunt as usual. Unfortunately, I had called the Friday before to make the appointment for Monday at 1 PM. When I came in, unfortunately, they did not have me in their system and said that it was the previous Friday at one. Which was also unfortunate because I didn't even call until 4 PM on that Friday my appt was supposed to be, to make the appointment for Monday. That was the only inconvenience and I know that I had to wait a little while because of it. read more

I recently had a vehicle inspection and an oil change at Black's Tire & Auto Service in Mooresville. The employees were all friendly and helpful. The work was completed in a timely manner. When I arrived at home I parked my car in my driveway overnight. The following morning there was a large puddle of oil underneath the car. I returned it to the shop and a helpful young man checked out the problem. Apparently the gasket had been accidentally cut when it was serviced. He replaced it with a new gasket and was very apologetic. The problem now is that I have a large oil stain in my once very clean driveway, and it's not going to be easy for me (an elderly woman) to clean it. read more

I have a regular mechanic for the annoying parts of life but he doesn't do state inspections so I'm here on his recommendation. Got checked in right away and the little white truck of fame and legend was in a bay in short order for a relatively painless and pointless procedure. Comfy leathery couches, coffee, TV, and wifi. Yea! Things I already knew: all the lights that are supposed to come on come on as when they're supposed to, and all the lights that are supposed to stay off stay off; tires are good, brakes are fair; window and mirror glass is intact but dirty and the horn is annoying... Do you think if I fail the examination with a substandard vehicle my taxes will go down? read more

George is anything but rude and is always willing to lend a helping hand, get a quick diagnosis for problems, and recommend the best tire for your buck. Having dealt with George a countless number of times, I have full faith in both George and his technicians/staff (who are all also very friendly and knowledgeable). It was a pleasure to deal with Leslie at the front desk and the new service writer, Georgia, is just as enjoyably to work with. This shop is always quick to get me in, easy to make appointments with, and friendly to deal with. They have very reasonable prices and are upfront about anything that you may need done to your vehicle. They won't try to oversell or push services that you don't need. I have taken ALL of my auto business to Mooresville Tire and Auto for over 10 years. John was ALWAYS more than helpful and really took care of his customers. It's really a shame that John left because this new guy George is a joke. He's ALWAYS too "busy" and very unhelpful as well as rude. For years I have taken my vehicle by there to have it checked over before leaving for my family vacation. A basic oil change, tire rotation, top off any fluids that may be low etc. This year was no different so I stopped by at 7:30 a.m. and was told that he had no time for that kind of stuff today!!! I was honestly at a loss for words. One time we were leaving for vacation and our a/c literally went out as we pulled out of the driveway sending me into a panic. I went straight to John and he immediately dropped everything to have a look and had us back on the road in 10 minutes with cold air. That type of customer service is why I've spent thousands over the years on tires (when I could've gotten them cheaper elsewhere), oil changes, alignments, and literally ANYTHING automotive related. Johns loyalty to me and his customers earned my loyalty to Mooresville Tire and Auto. Since John has been gone, I've been turned away twice for a simple oil change on a Saturday and am now left searching for someone to check my vehicle over last minute before vacation. I'm sad to say that Mooresville Tire and Auto lost my business today. At this point though, I don't imagine George could care any less. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!! BE AWARE!!!!!! read more
