The first thing out of my daughters mouth, after the play ended, was "WE'VE GOTTA SEE THIS AGAIN!!!"... She was reading my mind! Ukiah Player's Theater has an amazing talent of finding people with lots of... well, TALENT! I've attended many of their productions, like "Seussical, the Musical", where I've recognized people I've seen around town... who would have thought that the woman I saw in the market could belt out a tune like she did as Mayzie the torch singing bird?? Speaking of "Seussical , the Musical"- That play was so magical and amazing... and, right here in Ukiah!!! It was shorts weather, even if you weren't in 'shorts' shape! Not much shade available. But it was a lot of fun... 50's & 60's music playing, the streets closed off to traffic. And did I say, so many neat cars?... from all the decades, the 20's to 70's. And in beautiful shape, so many colors. Just made you want to jump behind the wheel and drive away in one. The upholstery so gorgeous, and those roomy backseats & high ceilings. I love classic cars. My favorite--I love the old 1940's coupes... just the shape & design. Every time I go to one of these summer car shows, I wind up WANTING one. Of course we got hungry, and Franks Hot Dog stand was there making for an easy lunch [ could have easily eaten 2] ! We found a shady spot on the grass at the plaza & watched the crowds. Nice way to pass part of an afternoon. And it was unbelievably nice to get back to an air-conditioned house.
