this review is specifically for Lakeridge cleaners store number 2 on Mayberry Drive. I was quoted $37 to hem and taper a pair of pants. $17 to hem and $20 to taper. When I picked up the pants the total was $52. I was charged an additional $15 because it had a lining (which the seamstress should have noticed when she was pinning the pants) I don't dispute that there was more work but I think it is poor business practice to surprise a customer with increased fees. Had I received a courtesy call letting me know the amount was higher I certainly would have declined. rather, I was forced to pay this amount or I would not have received my pants. The young lady at the front counter had the audacity to suggest that I should have called and inquired about the price....this business is unprofessional and overpriced. I may go back since the work was done really well. read more

I had been in a few times but never again. I dropped off 3 pairs of pants that need to be fix and cleaned. They send out for repairs so they told me a week. I go back a week later. They only fixed 2 pairs of pants and only cleaned the other pair. So now I have to wait another week. I go to pick them up after work, and no employee to be found,I start yelling hello to see if maybe somebody is in the back no response. My girlfriend in the car waiting finally comes in and yells really loud. Finally an employee responds, and yells back that they are in the restroom. The employee finally comes out and has the rudest attitude. She made me feel like I was doing something wrong by trying to pick up my clothing. And to make things worse. 10 mins into wearing the pants I had repaired, they ripped again in the same spot. This place is awful. read more

Best cleaners in town!! It's all about the staff... Friendly, Kathy know customers by first names, great seamstress Frieda for alterations. Other places prices are way less but I don't go to the cleaners for the cheap prices I go there because I know my clothes will look amazing and the spots/stains will be gone! JUDY is the Best D/C in town! I'm taken good care of there and if I am in need of repair of pants or other garment they will call me to approve repair. Good peeps at lakeridge cleaners!! read more

Dry cleaners are, for the most part, a service used for special occasions: weddings, interviews, funerals, PROM. Our daughter's vintage prom dress from The Nest needed a cleaning for this weeks prom. I did research on dry cleaner who could do vintage. Dropped off in plenty of time and yet- YET - today I went to Lakeridge Dry Cleaners they had royally screwed up. Hadn't done it. Told it was a computer error instead of having the young woman take responsibility and tell me she had messed up. No way to do anything about it today, she said. She is just front desk. No call from the owner to say they were sorry, either. I rushed to Mia's Professional Cleaners. Though the dress cannot be cleaned today with such limited time Mia herself is steaming the dress for Marjorie. Mia is such a kind-hearted woman. We'll be taking all our special occasion clothes there in the future. SO completely sorry I didn't go there originally. (And you can guess where we will never go again. read more

Ruined my formal dress. Took in two dresses, two coats, and a military uniform jacket. I would expect all items to come back in a useable condition, however, one of the dresses now has four 3-foot runs in it and is ruined. Brought it to their attention but they will not replace it. Will not ever consider this a respectable business again and will not be back as I have many other options in the area. read more

Based on Mary T.'s yelp review, I took three comforters in. One of the three comforters was a very high-end queen-size quilt. Very small quilt squares, so I was apprehensive about taking it just anywhere. They did a beautiful job cleaning it, with absolutely no damage. All three comforters smelled fresh and clean, not that usual awful dry cleaning odor. Friendly, yet professional woman at the counter. They didn't gouge on price either! I took a beautiful new white linen blouse here hoping they could fix some brown burning stains that a dry cleaners in sparks put on my blouse but refused to take responsibility for. The owner of lakeridge cleaners told me he would try to fix what the other dry cleaner had done to my blouse and sure enough he was able to get the brown, burned color out of my blouse !! Thank you lakeridge cleaners for restoring my blouse and my faith in dry cleaning services!! read more

I took my wedding dress to Lakeridge cleaners and it turned out to be a huge mistake. First they quoted me 3 weeks for the cleaning and the woman said it looked like it would not be a hard cleaning since my dress was lace but did not have any beading and only had some dirt on the train from my wedding being outdoors. When I called to pick up the dress I found out they were working on it the day it was due, which would be fine if they had actually cleaned it. I paid $100 and picked up the dress only to find that the train was still dirty. I was disappointed that no one mentioned they had any trouble cleaning the dress but instead just gave it back to me. I took the dress back and after talking to the owner it seemed like they don't really care to make sure things are clean after they work on them. They agreed to work on it again but still did not get it clean. Worse still however is that I just pulled my dress out of their wrapping and discovered that they ripped out the cups I had had sewn in to the bodice in order to not need a bra. There is only a small piece of the foam still attached. Not sure how or why they ripped them out, again without mentioning to me anything about damaging my dress. I do not trust this place and would never bring anything to their shop again. Beware. read more

If you care about your clothes or whatever DO NOT go to Lakeridge Dry Cleaners. My wife took her wedding dress there (about a month after our wedding) to be cleaned and packaged. After a week or so we got a call saying that they are unable to clean her dress (I don't know why). When she went in to pick it up- they didn't have it. They claimed it was at their other location and that we should call in on the next business day. The next business day we got a call from the manager asking us if we had picked it up. Obviously we hadn't yet so we became concerned. The manager said they thought it was stolen but that they are going to check between their locations. After checking around they still were unable to find the dress. They said they gave it to somebody else. Their story: Somebody came in and said they were there to pick up their wedding dress. They looked at my wife's dress in the bag and said it was theirs. Without checking ID or a ticket OR ANYTHING they let this person walk out of the store with my wife's wedding dress. They offered to make it up to her by buying her a new wedding dress... which is a stupid offer for somebody who came to have their dress packaged after their wedding. TL;DR : This company is negligent and evidently the manager is not all that smart. They lost an irreplaceable piece of clothing because they didn't verify that the garment belonged to the customer. On the opposite side of the coin though, if you want FREE clothing, just stop into their store, pick out what you want, and tell them it's yours. They don't care enough to verify. read more
