Great location. Lots of variety. Finally a place where I can get a kolache without cheese. They also offer a croissant kolache which looked amazing but I didn't try one today. They have amazing breakfast sandwiches with a good variety. We were the couple that came in 4 minutes before closing and the lady who helped us was super sweet! We got an apple fritter (big one), a blueberry donut, and a mini creme brûlée donut with some donut holes. The blueberry donut taste like the iconic Krispy Kreme cake but better! It was thicker and chewy. The apple fritter was fresh with real apple ingredient in the mix!! The creme brûlée donut was something else!!!! It was incredible. Will be coming back! read more

Our favorite donut store. It is exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated unlike a lot of nearby competitors. I love the maple and blueberry donuts. They are one of the few donut stores that have enough sprinkle donuts for kids that have late rising parents who show up after 10AM. O.M.G. Finally a blueberry donut that is comparable to a CA blueberry donut in my husband's eyes. Guys, this is a big deal. Long story short: My husband Geoff has been searching for the same blueberry goodness that this one shop had. I mean we would give all our hard earned money to - weekly, sometimes daily for this deliciousness that we couldn't find anywhere else. Until now....We found it. A blueberry donut that could do this (CA) place justice. This is a BIG deal. That place in CA closed and we moved to TX just to find the {blueberry} donut that could take it's place. I'm kidding......I'm making it sound like we moved to Texas just to find a blueberry donut. I digress. The OTHER donuts here are spot on. Blueberry is just a bonus cause my husband is happy. It's a super cute store. They have an amazing selection of donuts, the people that work there are soooo nice, and I love their hours. AND every donut I have tried here has been PERFECT. BONUS: They are open later than most donut places so I don't have to worry about rushing to get what they have left before they close. One of the best places for donuts in the area. They also have different breakfast items like sausage rolls and a nice kolache selection. Everything I have had here has been delicious. The staff are very polite. I often pick up a couple kolaches and grab a coffee on the weekends. My favorite flavors are Philly Cheese Steak and the sausage, egg, and cheese combination. We have lived in Texas for 25 years and have been on a quest to find what we consider a good donut shop here. We found one many years ago in Grapevine that we really liked. A few years ago that shop changed ownership and went down hill. Ever since then our quest continued until this morning. We used Yelp to find a donut shop that our family liked. From the Yelp reviews, one donut shop stood out, and that was Lakeside Donuts. This morning I drove 40 minutes (round trip) to purchase 9 donuts: 2 Maple Bars, 1 Apple Fritter, 2 Strawberry Sprinkle, 3 Blueberry and 1 Chocolate. When I walked into the shop, they staff greeted me and I noticed they had a very large selection of donuts. The shop was also very clean! I ordered my donuts and walked out. When I got home I really looked at the donuts and they all looked fresh and perfect. Our family sat down and we started tasting the donuts. Without exception, all the donuts were the best we've had in years. I, without any hesitation would suggest if you are in the area, try them. You won't be disappointed! There was also a bonus inside the box, of 5 or 6 donut holes...they were great as well. read more
