I loved coming for breakfast here earlier this week! I was in the DFW area for work, and had a pretty bad headache after landing at DFW airport. I needed food, stat. Pax and B wasn't too far from the airport so that was my breakfast destination. I was happy to see Turkish coffee on the menu and definitely went with that. For food, I got a breakfast sandwich (croissant bread) with halloumi, eggs, and crispy onions. Spicy aioli was served on the side. It was definitely an intriguing sandwich with interesting ingredient combinations. The cafe itself feels very fresh and a window seat allows you to have plenty of sunlight in the morning. I love this coffee shop. Inside it is very spacious and not stuffy. It is well decorated and they have lots of space to sit and talk with a group, have a quiet conversation with a friend/spouse, or sit and study alone. The coffee is very good and I really like their fruity refreshers (especially on a hot summer day in Texas). The pastries and sandwiches are also good and well prepared and the staff is always friendly and efficient with taking and filling orders. However, this place is a little pricy. For a sandwich and coffee, expect to pay ~$20. But even still, this is definitely one of my go to cafe spots in Plano for a nice treat. read more

Affable and gracious baristas here who let us bring our elderly golden retrievers in for some nice AC. We enjoyed a couple of satisfying lattes, the Spanish (cafe con leche) and lavender flavors along with a warmed chocolate croissant. The atmosphere was bright with hints of turkish decor, and although most tables were full it was quiet and easy to talk. The menu was captivatingly diverse- but not too large; non caffeinated muddled juice options, frozen and seasonal drinks, and the food touched on every tastebud from strawberry waffles to grilled cheese and hummus plates. I really appreciated the attention to detail of all the employees, but when I first entered and there was a line it didn't really invoke any sort of sense of urgency. I wouldn't label this as a "quick grab and go" but more of a chill day kind of experience. Can't wait to come back and try different menu items! read more

Came here for a quick matcha latte. The location is very cute and quaint. The staff here are amazing and friendly. The matcha here is unsweetened which I respect. If you want to add sweetener they do have the option of vanilla or simple syrup. There's also a nice courtyard area to sit and relax and just "feel the grass." We had high hopes for P&B after seeing their content on social media and the pictures posted. The coffeeshop itself is nice and bright with good vibes albeit a bit crowded. We got a matcha latte with honey and cinnamon and a flat white with oat milk. The matcha latte didn't really have any matcha flavor so I assume the powder they have isn't very high quality. Honestly, couldn't really taste the honey or cinnamon as well. The flat white was very disappointing. I saw a post where they showed how they make a flat white so I know they know but it was in a to go cup and the milk was full of bubbles and there was no velvety microfoam. We wanted to check out a newish cafe in our area and noticed we had never been here. It was a very cute location with a lot of parking and quite a few places to roam around after, including Grapevine Mills Mall. The inside was incredibly bright and had couches, and tables for seating. We were unfortunate in that we weren't able to stay because it was so crowded, a great thing for the cafe, just a bummer for us in the moment. We both really enjoyed our lattes. Mine was an almond milk latte which didn't taste sweet (a win for me!) and a turkish latte that my husband really enjoyed which was on the sweeter side. I definitely plan to stop by Pax & Beneficial in the future and hope to get to hang around for a while next time! read more

not gonna lie as a Californian I was hoping the coffee price in Dallas Texas was going to be cheaper, but apparently it is more expensive and I have surveyed out coffee places and this place is not exception. Parking is plenty a plaza, but I'm just surprised about the price because with the same price of seven dollars you would get medium two large size of cup of latte in California.. don't get me wrong. This stuff is nice and was able to answer my questions about the beans and recommended one of two choices that I was in dilemma. An absolute wonderful spot to go to. We had a group meet up here and the owner accommodated us by giving us a space we can all sit together. It is a locally owned business and the owner plus staff have great customer service and give warm welcomes to the place. That adds on to the great ambiance. It is bright and cozy. The place is very clean. They have Turkish coffee and some Mediterranean snacks as well which is a great touch and makes it a unique spot compared to others. I would definitely come back for the unique, delicious food & drink options. (They even have Turkish coffee.) They have WiFi (password is on the wall menu that resembles Scrabble tiles). About the only thing I can think to improve, at this location at least, is it could use a few more chairs and tables. Okay, hands down the best avocado toast I've had in Texas. I know that's not the reason you go to a coffee shop but every time I'm staring at a shop's breakfast options, the choices always seem a little too sweet for my taste (French toast/pastries) or too heavy (breakfast tacos/burritos). So I will undoubtedly go for the overly expensive avocado toast, which I am usually hugely unimpressed with. It's never terrible, just dependable. But the $9 avo toast here was crafted with so much heart, care, (*whispers*) passion... Seriously, it came out to my table and it looked like a piece of art, served with golden utensils. One slice of a Texas-thick white bread and topped with a heaping amount of avocado, feta cheese, micro greens and pillars of cherry tomatoes and drizzled with some seriously delicious balsamic vinegar. It's the first time I had to cut into an avo toast like I was slicing a steak. So, definitely get this... "Peace and Blessings" is a fitting name because upon entering this shop I knew I was going to like this place. The younger, female employee was incredibly sweet and we chatted about the difference drink options before settling on the nitro cold brew with the cardamom syrup flavoring. Loved it. I'm a huge fan of this place and will have to come back to try their Turkish coffee. read more

Pax can be a very noisy environment when it's full (80 decibels). The coffee is overpriced by about a dollar but good, I'll give them that. The people who work there vary from cold to nice. They do appear to be generally wary of their customers. The clientele is perhaps the weirdest assortment of humans I've ever seen in a coffee shop, and are presumably drawn from the nearby apartment complexes which are all overpriced. Thus we might make a deduction here, that the coffee is overpriced because the nearby housing is overpriced, so they are catering to foolish over-spenders. read more

The interior design is very contemporary, giving off a modern vibe. It's a great place to visit and hang out. The place was full, and Becca, the barista, was gracious and answered all our questions. We had "The Trinity" iced coffee, which was perfectly brewed and full of flavor. We loved that it had a lot of flavor while still allowing the taste of the coffee to shine through. Expresso had a unique presentation with a glass of sparkling water on a block of wood. Bathrooms were spotless, which is a huge plus. I'm so happy they finally opened up a location closer to me! I saw this on my way back home and had to stop for a latte. I ordered a cardamom and rose oatmilk latte and it was so delicious! I was hesitant on syrups since they are usually super sweet but the barista was really nice and said he could make it with less syrup so I still got to try the flavors but without my latte being a sugar bomb. I was in a rush so I couldn't stay but there are plenty of seats inside with cushy sofas and seats -- great for study, chatting, etc. I will definitely be back to add more to my review! But first impression was great, everyone was super friendly and the place is brand new so it's really sleek and clean inside.
