I've been to Lakeside for years and experienced three different dentists. I was a little hesitated to come when they switch to the current owner but they did not disappoint me. At my first visit Dr Song addressed my concerns of the ownership change right away and she even offers me warranty on my previous filling with previous owner. Dr Song is very nice and patient and she never tried to cross sell unnecessary treatments. She would provide options pros and cons and let me choose my own treatment plan, she is honest and transparent with the process. She is very fun to chat with as well, great bedside manner. Also the wait is always short and the staffs are all friendly, there are free drinks in waiting area and little goodie bag upon departure, what not to like? read more

I just moved into Harris county a couple months ago. I just went here for the first time after not seeing a dentist in a while just because of the VA and not knowing I qualify for dental insurance for disabilities from military service. I couldn't be more happier and reassured. The front desk service was excellent and Dr. Song was amazing too. The service, care, and cleanliness is exceptional! Dr.Lee is so sweet and genuinely loves what she does. She is accommodating to my sensitive teeth and takes her time to make sure she doesn't hurt me. The staff is so nice and they are good at maintaining a schedule. I have never waited in the lobby for longer than 5 minutes to be seen. I highly recommend. I have never seen Dr. Song but my friend sees her and he said she was also fantastic. read more

Quick summary we came to this office due to a tooth ache which only ended up being a wisdom tooth coming in that in reality didn't need to be extracted. Pros: The assistants are really nice and they will talk to you to make you feel comfortable. The place is very clean and professional. Equipment is nice and up to date. Cons: When it came to billing, we were told by staff at the office that we were in network then we were told a month later that we were not and we were stuck paying the whole bill. Lessoned learned never trust what the office says. Do your research and call your insurance before you go into an office. Dr. Chi could have better chair-side manor. She just walked in and was very short with us and the only "treatment" offered was an extraction which thank goodness we didn't go through or else the bill would have been higher. But due to the billing issue we had and her attitude of "just coming in and out" we will defiantly not leave a good review. Sorry. read more

Marissa, the dental assistant was approachable and helpful. Lastly, Dr. Lee not only cleaned my teeth, but also educated me and gave me tips on the condition of my teeth. Honestly I am not a fan of dentist but Dr. Song and Dr. Lee are amazing. These two put me at ease for my crown and deep cleaning g. The assistants are kind and sympathetic. My three-year-old daughter and I had a wonderful experience at Dr. Miller's office. All the staff were wonderful, and made my daughter and I feel so comfortable. It was nice that the office had Netflix so my daughter had something to do while I received my check-up. First off, I want to mention that I am still deathly afraid of the dentist. I was referred here by my Orthodontist for my regular dental needs. (Cleanings, fillings, etc.) I'm glad I listened because the staffing here at Lakeside Family Dentistry is great! They are all so helpful and kind. I went here when Dr. Choi still my dentist, but now it's Dr. Miller. Just like Dr. Choi, Dr. Miller is just as knowledgable, patient, and understanding. Ronnie, who also works there, is always kind to me and makes me feel comfortable and welcome. I used to hate going to the dentist until I started going here. I'm always seen in a timely manner, but I wouldn't mind waiting in their waiting area either! They have comfy couches and refreshments to enjoy while watching TV. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The doctor and her RDAs always make sure my concerns are taken care of. When I'm inside, I also don't need to wait long.. which was a pet peeve at other places. The wait to get in at the other place I used to go to was long and then once you're in, they leave you sitting forever and ever. I don't really watch the TV but the let you pick something to watch as well lol. There's blankets to get all nice and cozy while you're getting your dental work done and I enjoy that as well. If something hurt at a past visit, they would ask me again the next time they see me, so that it can be taken care of if needed. I had some erosion on one of my front teeth and they made sure I got it taken care of, opposed to my last dentist which told me it was ok and they don't know what caused it. Getting that done helped with the sensitivity and it looks good too. I get nervous about getting major dental work done but I can trust the quality of their work. Dr Choi is an excellent dentist and her RDAs are also awesome as well. In regards to my previous review, that one assistant isn't there anymore (whew) and all her new ones are much better. read more

My 11 year went there for cleaning in June 2016. Currently she has braces and several baby teeth and needed pediatric dentist for extractions and fillings. Pros: -Office very clean and modern -Short wait times -They worked through lunch to finish appointments Cons: -They only use shots numb no gas -Don't appreciate when doctor speaks to my daughter and blames her for cavities and not taking care of her teeth (both my daughters had issues since they were two years old & I was told there was defiency while I was pregnant with them) -On two occasions I was told more cavities need be filled or teeth extracted but then they communicate differently to front desk -while extracting teeth and having issues (one tooth they were pulling was fused to next tooth without doctors knowledge) my daughter was hysterical and in pain...wish doctor had paused so my daughter could catch her breath and they could numb other tooth they were pulling out - was charged for "extra" baby tooth they pulled out (pulled unexpectedly) even though was told would NOT be charged. When I called they said they didn't charge me copay for that extraction but they can go back and resubmit if I desire. This comment was not based on one visit but multiple. At first, all seemed well and good. tohave extractions and any teeth issues dentist was not professional/billing not making sense and wouldn't recommend her except for general teeth cleaning. read more

After first meeting Christina at the front desk, I immediately felt comfortable. This comfort level continued with Ronnie, the dental assistant, and then with Dr. Miller. They all played a skillful role in my dental evaluation, and no one attempted to upsell me on anything, but instead provided valuable information to allow me to make my own decision about treatment.
